Seems to do the best job of cleaning up my city water, of all the other filters I have tried before.
This is a pricey, third-tier of filtration that has not been available locally. I've had the under-sink GE filter for many years, as a last stage filter for municipal water. The water in West Texas is hard, filled with minerals, and the city water has a funny taste. Though I know it is "scientifically certified" to be drinkable, bottled water beats it for drinking...hands down. Normally there were only two choices available at local hardware stores and those were becoming more inconsistently available. When I went online, I found this filter which was a step higher in function than the other two. I thought I would try it and I was really surprised how much of a difference this one made. We use the filtered water for cooking and coffee, but now it is very, very close to being the same as the bottled water in taste (or the lack there of). Through Amazon, the price was high, but not much more than what I was paying for the second-tier of quality at a local store. SP far I am impressed with what it does, so now the question will be how long it lasts compared to the others. That will take months and up to a year.Ver másVer menos
