Great for older kids needing to practice phonics!
Really fun game! It's based on Uno rules, so it's easy to pick up and play. We also have PB & What, which is very similar (and we like as well but is geared toward younger kids and feels less competitive). I like that this game feels less like a "preschool" game, even when practicing easy words. It's hard for older kids with dyslexia to get age appropriate games and this one feels like any age would be comfortable playing. I was a little hesitant getting it at first because of the price, but it is 3 games in one and a great quality so I feel like the price is reasonable. The qr code on the back of each card worked perfectly and the pronunciation of the word felt very natural. I do feel like there are too many of the wild cards for a 2 player game (the reverse cards would be good to remove). The game could also be a bit long with the number of draw 2 and draw 4 cards, but I like how that is easily adjustable. This is a bit more of a competitive game that some kids might have trouble playing (can they handle getting a draw 4?) But removing the wild cards would be an easy fix. Overall, really happy to add this to our game collection.4 months later: Still happy with the game! It is holding up well, the quality of the cards is great. We really weren't loving the rules to the game, even though they were easy to understand. I ended up pulling out sets of matching vowel sounds (as that is what we need to work on) and playing the game Go Fish with the cards instead. The length of the game is much easier to control and it's a game we all love.Ver másVer menos
