Good curtains for the price

RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs up – Can’t beat these for the price.THE GOOD:1. These look good if you like cotton-style curtains.2. These are room-darkening shades – not blackout shades even though they are called that. I would estimate that they block out around 85%-90% of the incoming sun which is what we were looking for (they are not as dark as the ads on Amazon show. There are not a lot of choices for room darkening shades, and we were happy to find these.3. The drapes are a single piece of cloth (no lining) which is fairly thick. The edges are folded over and stitched as you can see in the photos.4. The stitching is pretty strong – tested it and could not break it.5. These have a rod pocket or you can use the back tabs. We used drapery hooks that we inserted through the stitching at the bottom of each of the back tabs, and that worked well.6. The top of the curtain is 3” (from the top of the curtain to the bottom of the back tabs), which can be a useful measurement when you are looking for drapery hooks.THE BAD:1. You are going to need to iron the curtains before you hang them if you don’t want any wrinkles. I have never seen curtains that did not have the be ironed first (no matter what the ads say) and these are no different.
