Great Night Vision Glasses

I’ve been really impressed with how well they work. The lenses aren’t too dark, which is a huge plus. They allow a good amount of light in at night so you can still see clearly, but they also do an excellent job of filtering harsh light and glare. Headlights and bright screens feel much softer, and everything looks clearer and more comfortable to focus on.They’ve been especially great after LASIK surgery. My eyes were more sensitive to light, and these glasses helped reduce strain without making everything look dim. That balance is hard to find, but these get it just right. They’re also lightweight and very comfortable to wear for long periods. No pressure on the nose or ears, and they don’t feel bulky at all. You can easily forget you’re wearing them.Overall, they do exactly what they’re supposed to do—reduce glare, filter blue light, and improve clarity—while staying comfortable and practical. Highly recommend if you want something effective but not overly tinted.Ver más

Excellent blue light blocking glasses. Classy look, and they really do help.

First off, yes, blue light blocking glasses are really truly effective. If you've never tried them before, buy a set and you won't regret it. You don't have to buy this set, I'm sure you can find cheaper blue light blocking glasses, but either way, give them a try, and you'll be glad you did. So… what's the deal with blue light? Let's get into the science. The rainbow (ROY-G-BIV) is Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. That order is not an accident. The light frequency goes from low, at Red, to high, at Violet. As the frequency goes up, the visual intensity/harshness also goes up. For thousands of years, humans have used light from flames (a warm yellow light) at night, and experienced blue light (cold light/daylight) from the sun during the day. We physically feel warm light as a calming/nighttime sensation, and cold light/daylight as a stimulant/go-time sensation. When we go out in real sunlight (ROYGBIV), the pupils in your eyes react to the total light energy, and they close down, to protect you from harsh high frequency colors. Unfortunately, 'cold/daylight bulbs (and screens/monitors)' don't actually produce ROYGBIV daylight. They only produce RGB (Red, Green, and Blue). Our brains interpret that as white, even though it is missing Orange, Yellow, Indigo, and Violet. That matters, because our pupils react to the total light energy going into your eye, not the color we perceive it as. If more than half the colors are missing, our pupils will think the light is half as intense as it actually is. Your pupils will stay open, and that harsh blue light will go right into your retinas, with nothing slowing it down. The result is too much stimulation, headaches, and probably long/gradual damage. It is especially bad when you look at a small/intense blue light (i.e. from a cell phone screen) in a dark room. Your pupils will be wide open from the darkness of that room.In our pursuit of energy saving, we've given up the natural flame-like light of incandescent bulbs (which produce true ROYG, and low BIV). We're stuck with RGB, in every home, office, and store. Unfortunately, it's not just the color that hurts our eyes. When early LED light bulbs came out, for room lighting, did you notice how they flickered? Early LED Christmas light strands had the most noticeable flicker. If you've ever been at a concert, or skating rink, with a strobe light, you know how disorienting a flashing light can be. We now have flashing light, everywhere. They've tried to increase the flicker frequency (so we don't notice it as much), but, all LED lights still flicker, as well as all fluorescent lights. Incandescent bulbs were the only ones we had that produced a steady, calm, natural light. Now that you know the science, here's what you should do… Get a pair of blue light blocking glasses, to reduce strain from all the bulbs that you don't have control over, and buy real incandescent bulbs, for key areas of your home. Search Amazon for 'incandescent appliance bulb', or 'vintage incandescent bulb'. Beware of fakes though. Real incandescent bulbs will have black wire filament, in the bulb-off photos. Fake incandescent will have yellow colored filament, in the bulb-off photos. You'll want incandescent in your bathroom, and your bedroom. Those are the places you will be in, at night, before going to sleep. Ditch the harsh stimulating strain, of flickering RGB, and you'll sleep better every night. Enjoy.Ver más

Very light to wear, seem to be doing the job.

I have my computer set to turn on the night light for the screen at 7pm and I switch my desk light to the warm setting and turn it down, or off an hour or so after that. But our overhead lights are also LED (isn't everyone's now?) and so they are giving off blue light, too, late into the night. I have a lot of problem sleeping, and so "sleep hygiene" is a big thing. Some of that is getting rid of the blue lights that make your eyes-brain think it's still day time, so that your body can start producing melatonin. So, I'm hoping these do the job, I can definitely tell the tint difference with them on, and my eyes feel less strained from the glare. So, fingers crossed!Ver más

inexpensive, lightweight, and comfortable

These glasses fit well over my prescription glasses, and as they are lightweight, I can't even feel I'm wearing them. They arrived in a nice box along with a velvet bag to carry them in. I've never worn blue light- blocking glasses before. At first, I thought they didn't make any difference. As I type, the screen just looks white as usual. However, I just raised them and looked at the screen again, and now the screen looks blue! I had never noticed before just how much blue is in a white screen! Anyway, I guess that means they work as intended. They were also inexpensive, so I'm happy with them so far.Ver más

Real Blue Light Blocking Glasses

There’s so many glasses out there that claim to block blue light, but these are the real thing. You can see the blue light reflection in the lens before putting them on and it’s obvious once wearing them. I sit at a desk and stare at a screen for 8 hours a day and then at home there’s the phone and tv. Our eyes aren’t meant to consume as much screen time as we do. I noticed myself straining while staring at all these screens. One day with these glasses and I can tell a noticeable difference. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for true blue light blocking glasses. AND they are fashionable, fit comfortably and are lightweight.Ver más

Protect your eyes, and look smart doing it.

I remember when gunner glasses were a thing. They had the same light blocking properties, that was supposed to reduce eyestrain. Saw these, and had to get them. And if I am totally honest, I also wanted to see what I look like with glasses. They seem pretty unisex. As they look similar enough on man or woman. As far as their intended use, I use them with my computer and I can’t really tell if there’s any ice strain, but it does seem to block the light that it supposed to. All I can say is they fit well, and they do what they’re supposed to.Ver más

Cute blue blocking glasses

Staring at screens all day can fatigue your eyes and lead to sleep disturbances due to blue-light exposure. The construction of these glasses is plastic which is why they're affordable, but that also means they're a little "flimsy" - light weight and flexible/not rigid. The lenses have a slight tint to them (i'm assuming that's the blue being filtered out) but they're not tinted like sunglasses or those amber glasses I've seen online. If you're looking for a cute pair of glasses to wear as an accessory or actually need blue-light blocking, these are a great and affordable way to make that happen.Ver más
