I love this!

This is a top notch accessory for a Switch 2. I had been looking for something like this right after I purchased mine, and this was the one I liked the most. Here are some of the reasons I got it.1. Slips on easily and is very secure.2. While on, the console will slip right into the Nintendo dock without issue, and connects to my 2nd dock (www.amazon.com/dp/B0FWK7L467) as well.3. It doesn't interfere with the tempered glass screen protector I have on the console, and actually works in tandem with it. (www.amazon.com/dp/B0FBHQZBQZ)4. The larger hand grips are more comfortable, and anti-slip.5. Folding kickstand. It looked really cool in the photos, and was even better once I received it. It protects the bottom corners of the joycons in case of a drop. The hinged mechanism holds the joycons in firmly, but is fairly easy to slip off. I do have a concern about this though, as unless you hold the joycon securely while slipping off the cover, they will tend to bend backwards and this I think puts undue stress on the connection inside the console, in a way that it may not have been designed to support. This is potentially a long term issue, so we will have to see how that goes.Overall, I would buy this again. It's a nice protective measure, and just gives a better overall feel to the console when handheld in my opinion. Also the kickstand is great when you want to play, but don't want to hold the whole console. Just detach the joycons and go.Lastly, to those that have purchased this, and it doesn't fit in your shell carry case, try this item (www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8QC3XJ7). Same manufacturer, and I can confirm it fits with this Dockable Cover on.Ver más

Worth the money you spend

I very much like this case. Nice solid quality material. Would definitely protect the switch if it was dropped. Two things I was worried about when purchasing this item1. I was worried that it would be too snug in the dock and the screen would get scratched. I do not have to worry about this because the case has a lip that goes over both sides of the screen, absolutely no way it could rub against the screen.2. I was worried it would be rough on the switch to put this case on, it was not, easily comes on and off without scraping against the switch. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is it gets warm when on the dock, I'm worried if I played a more intense game it may overheat. Wish it was more breathable. All and all solid case, great bang for your buck.Ver más

I love Supcase products. This is no exception. Quality built and feels good in the hands. Fits the dock too and fits the switch2 perfectly

Decent 1-piece Switch 2 case.

I picked this up to give my Switch 2 a little bit of protection. The case was wrapped in a plastic bag (with a foam spacer to keep shape), inside a plastic box. Install instructions were included. This is a bit of an interesting design as it is a 1-piece case, but it allows a hinge design to pull off the controllers. The design is pretty good. The ports are fairly open. The kickstand is good. The case doesn't overlap the screen, so screen protectors don't get messed up. It is a very practical 1-piece design.I only have a couple things I noticed...The back is completely closed so it traps a bit of heat... which is not uncommon for a full case, but it's something to keep in mind (the vented looking section on the back is actually the kickstand). The way the case snaps on the controller is a bit unsettling the first couple times doing it... as it slightly bends the controllers back if you are not careful. As long as you know about it in advance, it's not too bad.I think it's an ok case that does most things right... however its value overall is a bit lacking with the current pricing of $39.99. In the end, we have pro's vs con's vs value. For value, it is a bit higher than I could justify. However, if this is the type of case you are looking for, it is a solid choice.Ver más

Fits Dock Perfectly - Feels So Much More Secure With This - Love The Cover Portion For Controllers

This SUPCASE Dockable Case for Switch 2 is better than I thought it was going to be! I absolutely love how slim the case is and how perfectly it fits around the console. With the case on, it definitely fits just fine in the dock. This is probably my favorite feature because I no longer have to worry about removing the case when we're using it on the go or in the bed. The fit is super close and leaves all all ports easily accessible, while feeling like it will do a good job with bumps and scrapes. My husband loves the appearance of the case, which makes it look a bit more "grownup".The aluminum alloy stand is great because it takes pressure to move the stand to any position, so I can choose any lean angle I like and it will hold it. With the stand out, it's *very* stable. When putting the stand away, it fits right into the grooves of the case so it doesn't stand out. I think I actually prefer the ergonomics of the console with the case on, especially because the controller section is a plastic cover that swings out if I need to remove one of them. It feels like it completely wraps over the controller parts for a bit of peace of mind.Overall, I couldn't be happier with the case. It's a perfect fit, has a fantastic stand, and holds the console with controllers in a way that I feel a lot better about dealing with a bump or two. We got this SUPCASE Dockable Case when it was priced at $39.99 and feel like I'm getting fantastic value for what it provides. Absolutely the highest recommendation possible.Ver más

A Strong Case With A Comfortable Grip

My first concern with this case was how well it would work with my tempered glass screen protector. I'm happy to report that not only did it not interfere with the screen protector, but the combination of the case and the protector still fits comfortably in the dock. It has a really strong, durable build quality to it that I trust to protect my Switch 2 long term. It would have been nice to have some alternative color options, but the black color is discreet and still looks really cool. This does prevent my Switch 2 from fitting inside my zippered carrying case for it, but it offers enough protection that it should be portable enough without it anyway. The case covers the original stand built into the Switch 2, but the stand built into the case is impressively sturdy and can hold it up at a variety of angles. My favorite part of the case is also my biggest concern. When completely assembled with the Joy Cons, the side covers add a much more comfortable grip to hold onto it. I have fairly large hands, so I really appreciate that. However, I'm not sure I completely trust the hinged mechanism for sliding them on and off the Joy Cons. The design isn't bad necessarily; they slide on and off fairly smoothly without too much of a fight. However, it does put pressure on the locked-in Joy Cons in a direction they aren't really mean to flex. I'm a little concerned that repeatedly pulling this on and off over time may weaken the mechanism that attaches the Joy Cons to the screen. To mitigate this I make a point to hold the Joy Con itself with one hand while sliding the cover on or off the with other, so that the latching mechanism isn't supporting the pressure. I think this should solve the problem, but when buying this case for children I'd recommend teaching them to do it as well. That one caveat aside though, this is a really excellent case that seems to offer some impressive protection. I'd recommend it to any Switch 2 owner that wants to protect their investment.Ver más

Best Switch 2 case I've found so far!

The SUPCASE Dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2 provides a heavy-duty, military-grade protective chassis engineered exclusively for the 2025 console release. Certified to MIL-STD-810G 516.6 structural standards, this multi-layered hard shell absorbs heavy impact forces from drops, luggage checking, and rough backpack travel. The mechanical design incorporates a 2.5mm raised screen bezel and a 1mm raised "Z" key buffer zone to defend critical control interfaces against direct surface friction and scratches. The primary operational advantage of this armor is its specialized, dock-compatible profile and upgraded thermal architecture. Despite its robust defensive frame, the case features a precise form factor that plugs directly into the console dock for a seamless transition to a big-screen TV without removing the shell. The back of the case houses a foldable aluminum alloy stand that adjusts smoothly from 30° to 90° for hands-free viewing, utilizing a hollow, ventilated frame design to maximize heat dissipation during high-performance gaming sessions. For enhanced ergonomics and control, the shell features an integrated, exclusive hinge mechanism that allows for a quick release and swap of the Joy-Cons without compromising structural rigidity when locked in place. The exterior handles are molded with an anti-slip rubberized texture that reduces hand fatigue and prevents slipping during intense gameplay, while the 145g weight-balanced construction preserves the console's natural center of gravity. Delivering a secure, low-maintenance fit with uninhibited port access, this protective accessory serves as an exceptional tool for maintaining long-term hardware integrity on the go.Ver más

Hefty and protective but may trap heat

I’ve tried some other cases with this unibody, hinged-side design that really envelops the Switch 2 to make it feel like a true portable console. (Though a rather large one with the size of the tablet.) For this type of case, I think it’s difficult to get the angle or fit on the hinged sides just right. Meaning, having it so the sides go over the controllers without feeling like there’s potential damage every time you push them on and off, yet secure enough that you feel you’re not going to have the case accidentally fall off as you move while carrying your console. In this very specific area (specific to the unibody-with-hinge design), the Supcase case performs very well. The hinges go over the controllers with very little resistance (at least, little enough that I don’t feel there’s danger to the controllers, the tablet, or the charging connector between them) and while on, I don’t feel like there’s much risk of the hinge on either side accidentally coming undone.Aside from that, the case feels very thick and sturdy, and the added heft to the sides improves comfort while holding the otherwise very flat console. In fact, I’d say the weight feels significantly increased with the case on, unlike soft cases which can be fairly protective without noticeable increase to weight. I don’t have a problem with the increased weight, but I could see it potentially being a problem for young children using the console for extended periods of time. Of course, as a parent, you might see that as a positive because the weight becomes a reminder for your child to occasionally step away from electronics for physical activity.None of the tablet’s ports are blocked by the case aside from the microSD slot that’s under the kickstand, though the thickness along the top and bottom means accessibility will be slightly worse. In particular, USB cables and audio cables with thicker shielding around the connector/jack may be blocked from connection by the case. You may want to verify your preferred equipment (specifically cables) all work with the case if purchasing. The kickstand on the back of the case feels sturdy as well, with a fairly stiff hinge (though I can’t say whether this will hold up well over time). It feels a bit odd to use with the rotation angle being fairly low, but the stiffness of the hinge makes it still feel secure while propping up the tablet. Again, I cannot say this would definitely hold up over a long period so I wouldn’t rely on this kickstand to work at very extremely vertical angles. The main potential issue I could see with the case is that it seems to trap heat more than other cases I’ve tried, though those are mostly thinner and likely less protective. The case is dockable as advertised, and after having it running in the dock for 2 hours or so I noticed the back of the console felt very warm to the touch. I wasn’t running any particularly intensive game, and I have run the same game for the same amount of time in the dock with no case (or with other thinner cases) without the console feeling so warm. It seems to me the thickness here is becoming a slight detriment, trapping heat against the tablet more than other cases that seem to allow better heat dissipation. Any deleterious effects of this increased heat wouldn’t be noticeable until after long-term use though, so I can’t provide much more detail now.Overall, I think this is a very sturdy and user-friendly case, port clearance aside, but I do think it’s better for people that prefer handheld use over docked use (due to lower heat and you being more likely to notice when the console is getting warm in your hands). It should do a good job of protecting your console from accidental bumps, and you just need to be sure to periodically check that your console isn’t excessively hot.
