Great but had a couple issues
This model was really fun to put together. I love how it turned out. The instructions were really easy to follow, although the tags and text could have been bigger. I had to put on my readers to be able to see it clearly. The design is really lovely; I really like the aesthetic. The end result was very appealing.That being said, I did have some issues. The first being the bottle of glue. That bottle was atrocious. It leaked even with the lid on. I ended up throwing it away and buying a better tube with a metal needle nose, which worked way better. While B7000 is a really good glue for these types of projects, it does take time to set, so the pieces will not slide around when putting pressure on them, such as inserting a part into holes that are a pretty tight fit. It was not enjoyable to glue said pieces on the very first step. and then have to wait 15 minutes to continue, and then still have issues with slippage. Ideally, B7000 takes up to 24 hours to completely set on wood layering.The next issue was the acrylic pieces. The images on some of the cups, jars, and the menu boards were chipped away. It was pretty brittle and came off when trying to remove the protective plastic. The plastic was a bit too perfect against the edges, so it was pretty difficult to remove. I ended up having to use a vinyl picker. So now I have a half-empty jar of coffee beans and a couple of chipped cups. There are also bubbles in the menu boards. I guess that can lend to the charm if you don't know about it.In the end, though, it turned out pretty good. The light was easy to install, and the pieces fit really well with minimal wiggling. The swinging door is a nice touch. The price is the real winner here, because these models can run upwards of 50 dollars for some. I think the building material is just as good a quality as others I have done and is only half the price. So, despite the challenges I came across, this definitely deserves 5 stars.Ver másVer menos

Good intro project for one person
This is the second book nook kit we’ve assembled. While it was a lot of fun, it was missing some elements that made our first kit (Rowood Magic Study) truly enjoyable. Most of them boil down to this is really meant to be done by one person and there isn’t room for customization. This is all a matter of personal preference, so I’ll try to go through all of the differences to help others, particularly those new to these kits, decide what type of set best suits them.On a side note my lower rating isn’t based on these differences, but rather on a quality issue: the printed design tended to flake off the plastic pieces unless handled very carefully (see photos).Style differences between the kits:The Coffee Shop kit is closer to a traditional puzzle and no room for customization. All pieces are punched from wooden sheets and a single plastic sheet, with the items (save the plates and baked goods for the first two shelves) have pegs that lock them into place. There is very little room for customization due to this. On the plus side, this makes the kit easier to move without disturbing the pieces and reduces the risk of losing parts if it gets knocked over (helpful if you have cats or smaller kids). I should also note that this kit has the battery compartment screwed in place, making it easy to get to and I do prefer this to how the Magic Study had it's battery pack loose in a cutout section in back.Compared to the Magic Study, the Coffee Shop has less texture, takes less time to assemble, and is better suited for one person. Because all components come from uniform sheets, there’s little variation in materials, so you need to follow the assembly order in the manual closely. The Magic Study by contrast uses paper, yarn, and plastic pieces, giving it a more 3D look and adding textured to the finished product. The smaller details can be assembled at any point during the build, making it easier for two people to work on the kit at the same time. My 13-year-old and I built the Magic Study together and then she had a blast (pun intended) assembling everything just right. This is the main reason I really enjoyed the Magic Shop- it allowed my daughter and I to spend some quality time together and conversation flowed naturally. With the Coffee Shop she quickly lost interest because there wasn’t really an easy way for two people to work together on it and there wasn’t the same room for creativity.Another key difference is this kit uses super glue instead of double-sided tape. I preferred the tape used in the Magic Study required no drying time and allowed for repositioning, while the super glue in the Coffee Shop was a little messier and required drying time. However, it does create a stronger, cleaner final result when applied carefully. For full transparency, I used leftover double-sided tape for much of this build.Overall, this is a good starter nook for one person looking to do a quicker project.

Great bookshelf kit for a lazy afternoon
I feel like I got lucky finding this product, since I needed something to do that did not involve looking at a screen for 5 hours. I am 30 and my brain is fried from work, so a 3D puzzle sounded like a decent way to unwind. This little coffee shop kit is high quality and does not feel like some cheap generic toy. The wood is thick and everything is pre colored, so I did not have to mess around with paint. I was a bit worried about the tiny pieces, yet they are cut so well that they just snap right into place without needing much glue. Even my picky eater liked what I made with this, which is a weird thing to say about a wooden model, but they thought the tiny croissants looked real.The touch control LED is the best part, since it gives the whole bookshelf a soft glow at night. I saw a few people talking about these kits online and the hype is real for this model. It took me about 4 hours to finish the whole 143 piece set without losing my mind. I appreciate that the wiring is tucked away, so you do not see any ugly cables hanging out the back. The instructions are mostly pictures and very easy to follow if you are not a pro at building things. It fits perfectly between my books and adds a nice bit of depth to the shelf. I honestly think the value here is great compared to other kits that cost 2 times the price. It feels sturdy once it is all put together and the little swinging door actually works.Ver másVer menos

An Intricate, Cozy Building Kit!
I love crafty kits, especially Lego sets, and have seen these DIY "wooden puzzle" style kits in the past (but have never given one a try). I also love a good coffee and thought this would look great in my coffee nook and wanted to give it a try!For my first time, I had a surprisingly good time with the assembly. The instructions are pretty straight-forward (though some of the icons indicating using glue, etc. are a bit on the smaller side). These kits require patience and a bit of a gentle touch – but I had no issues with any parts breaking during assembly! I also appreciated that the kit came with all the tools you'll need (including craft glue and a small screwdriver), so it's the full package.The real joy of assembly was turning on the lights for the first time – the end product of this project really glows (literally!). The soft LED's on the inside make it look great, especially in dim light. I also love the fact that the wiring can be hidden away inside so you don't get distracted from the otherwise cozy vibes.Whether you're a first-time kit builder (like myself) or just looking to add to your collection, I'd highly recommend you give this one a try! This adorable coffee shop set was really fun to build. My husband saw me working on it and he wanted to join in. It was a really neat couples project to complete this and now when we see it on the bookshelf we both take pride in our joint accomplishment.The instructions were very easy to follow and everything, including the glue and lighting, is included. The only thing I used that was not included was a tweezers to place small baked good on a shelf to ensure they were exactly where I wanted them glued down.Once the glue dries it is sturdy and easy to move to it's home among the books.Ver másVer menos

Very nice, detailed and fun to do!
I love working on dioramas in my spare time. It is a calming way to spend the afternoon, focusing on all of the little pieces and watching the creation come to life. This little coffee shop/book nook kit was the perfect way to spend an afternoon and create something near and dear to my heart.The pieces are thick and durable and snap together really well and the amount of detail is astonishing. The little light that makes it look like the shop is open, ready for business, warm and inviting is a really nice touch, and I like that all of the wires are tucked away out of site. The swinging door was another attractive feature.Overall, a very enjoyable experience and the price is comparable to what I have paid for similar kits, so overall a good value for the money.Ver másVer menos

Took Me a Few Hours and Was So Much Fun to Build!
I spent about 4–5 hours putting this coffee shop book nook together, and I had a really great time. It felt relaxing and fun the whole way through.The wooden pieces are really nice quality. They feel smooth, and I didn’t have to worry about rough edges. Everything is already cut and colored, which made it a lot easier for me. The pieces fit together well, so I didn’t need much glue at all.I liked following the instructions too. They were clear and helped me stay on track, even when some parts got a little tricky. It’s a good mix of easy and a little challenging, which kept it interesting.The finished coffee shop scene looks amazing. There are so many tiny details, and it really brings the whole thing to life. When I turned on the LED light, it made it look even better. The soft glow makes it feel cozy, like a real little café on my shelf.I also like that it feels sturdy once it’s done. It doesn’t feel flimsy, and I can tell it will last a long time as a display piece.Overall, I really enjoyed building this. Une maquette garage agréable à monter
J'ai choisi cette maquette en bois sur le thème d'un garage vintage et je ne suis pas déçu du résultat final.Le montage demande un peu de patience mais reste accessible. Les pièces sont bien découpées et s'emboîtent correctement dans l'ensemble. J'ai pris mon temps pour construire les différents éléments du garage ainsi que le petit véhicule, qui apporte vraiment du charme à la scène.Une fois terminée, la maquette est assez détaillée avec de nombreux accessoires qui donnent vie à l'ensemble. L'éclairage intégré ajoute également une touche sympa en mettant en valeur les détails une fois la lumière allumée.Certaines petites pièces demandent un peu de minutie et il vaut mieux suivre attentivement la notice, mais rien d'insurmontable si on aime les loisirs créatifs.Au final, c'est une activité relaxante et le rendu décoratif est vraiment réussi. Cute Design, But Extremely Time-Consuming to Assemble
This DIY miniature book nook kit creates a cozy coffee shop scene that looks charming in the product photos, but my experience with the assembly has been much more challenging than expected.The biggest issue is the difficulty level. The assembly process is quite complicated, with many small pieces that require patience and careful handling. It is definitely not as easy or beginner-friendly as it may appear. In our case, we’ve been working on it for more than three weeks and still haven’t finished building it.Another disappointment was that the glue was missing from the package, which meant we had to purchase our own before we could continue with the assembly.The finished design looks cute, and the touch-control LED light is a nice feature, but the overall size is much smaller than expected considering the price. Once assembled, it takes up very little shelf space and may feel underwhelming if you’re expecting a larger display piece.The packaging is also fairly basic, which doesn’t match the premium price point.Overall, this kit has a lovely concept and attractive design, but the difficult assembly, missing glue, and very small size make it hard to justify the cost.
