  Better Than Expected

  OMG! I am SO pleasantly surprised by my purchase of these shoes. For one, they are exactly what I’ve been looking for to include in the wardrobe for an upcoming tropical vacation come this November. On top of that they are SO comfortable. Before purchasing, reading the comments, one purchaser indicated that the sole was hard. I didn’t get that. This shoe has a cushioned sole that my foot just sunk into when I stepped into them. As well as being so comfortable, they are also very supportive. And of course, they are SO cute and will go with just about every outfit in your tropical vacation or otherwise summer wardrobe. Yes, the strap is about an inch or two longer than it needs to be, but it just gives the wearer options on how to wear them, at the ankle or up around the leg. The strap’s length is not a problem for me. I love these espadrilles so much, I’m considering purchasing them in other colors. In fact, producer, why not add some more bright color options?   Exactly what I was looking for, and at a great price.

  I have been looking for espadrilles to wear with a dress I bought last summer, and have not been able to wear it because I couldn't find the right shoes. I found these and they or exactly what I was looking for. A good old-fashioned espadrille, but well made him very modern looking. I got the ivory, and the color is true to the picture. Very nicely constructed. I know some folks complained about the long laces, but when you wrap them around your ankle the way you're supposed to, and tie your Ribbon in the back, the length was perfect. Other folks said they had to size up, most reviews said it was true to size, I wear an 8 and 1/2 medium female and they fit perfectly. I wore them around the house a little bit and they are very comfortable. I thought the price was very good. I never buy shoes or things like this online because they usually don't fit. I was very pleasantly surprised. Very nice looking, lovely quality. Thinking about going ahead and buying one in navy!Ver másVer menos

  Fits me to a tee!!

  Lovely espadrilles! Perfect match with an existing linen outfit. Soft and comfortable to wear. True to size; able to wear all day without having discomfort. Highly recommend these wonderful shoes.

  Lovely sandals love them. Size correct.

  Gorgeous original remarkably comfy. Ties are long that way you can tie as you like. Must tie tightly or they will fall off. Lovely color of brown. Can dress up or dress down. Feel like I am in France…très joli

  Not comfortable

  Nice attractive shoe, comes in wide size, just the right heel height for me. However, the description said elastic ankle strap and the picture showed ties. I ordered hoping for the strap. No elastic strap. I forgot to mention this in my reason for return. Ties are much too long, wrapped around my ankle 3 times and tie was still too long. I do not wrap up my leg because straps just fall down. Also the shoe needs some insole padding and arch support for comfort. This is a basic, no frills espadrille.Ver másVer menos

  What a great shoe on both style and comfort!

  I’ve tried on so many espadrilles and they either hurt the toes, have no bend to them, and/or offer zero comfort. I ordered these through Amazon on a whim thinking they’ll probably be like all the rest. They weren’t. They’re a comfortable shoe I could wear on a long walk. And they’re cute! I don’t like the laces being so long, so I cut them and tied a knot on each end and wrapped it around my ankle once and tied it in the back. Comfortable and feminine!Ver másVer menos

  These espadrille flats are super comfy. The cushioning inside eases my foot ache and conforms well to my high instep. The laces are the only wrap style laces I had that hold well without loosening or sliding down my leg throughout the day.The color is a really nice neutral shade that goes well with everything. I've worn these shoes with pretty much every color in my wardrobe and they look good with all of it.The shoes are true to size. I'm a very standard 7.5 and these fit me perfectly. The cushioning molds to my high instep and the heel strap can be drawn tight against my narrow heel. This makes the fit feel custom and it's super comfy.Ver másVer menos

  Very natural looking and feeling materials. True to size.

  This is one of Cushionaire's nicer styles and constructions. I like the stitching between the sole and the uppers. The materials are exceptionally beautiful, and unlike many of their shoes, the padding is quite nice from heal to toe.The fit is accurate I feel, but this is a very forgiving style. The bed of the sole is flat as expected. If you have high arches, you may find that the front end may bite in since it is quite shallow.The colour is really truly natural looking and this doesnt feel like synthetic materials. Im sure they are, but they have done an exceptional job of making them look very "island sourced". Everything from the ropey material around the sole to the tweed like material on the uppers. I got the beige and Im very pleased with how natural the materials look.I ordered 9.5M and honestly I dont see much difference between their mediums and wides in other styles I have ordered.This is probably one of my favourite Cushionaires of the several I have ordered and tried already.   Comfortable Espadrilles With A Nice Navy Colour

  I got these in a size 6 in the navy colour, which is my usual size, and I would say they fit true to size. For reference, I’m a true US women’s size 6 with average-width feet.I was debating between the black and the navy, and I’m really glad I went with the navy because it looks even nicer in person than it does in the listing photos. The colour has a really rich look to it without being overly bright, and I think it gives the shoes a slightly more premium look overall.These are also really comfortable for walking because the wedge is not too high. It gives a little bit of lift so you don’t feel completely flat on the ground, but they still feel easy and comfortable to walk in.I also didn’t notice any rubbing from the ankle wrap area, although I haven’t worn them for a super long full day yet.The raffia and jute-wrapped details looked nicely made in person too. I didn’t notice loose pieces, uneven areas, or anything hanging off.One thing I would mention is that if you have thinner ankles like I do, you may need to wrap the ankle ties around a bit more to get the fit you want. The material has a little bit of stretch to it, but it’s more of a fabric ankle wrap rather than a very stretchy elastic. If you’re not used to espadrille-style ankle wraps, it can take a little getting used to at first, but once adjusted, they stayed secure and comfortable for me.I also like that these can work either casually or dressed up a little depending on how you style them.Overall, I’m really happy with these, especially the navy colour and the comfort level.Ver másVer menos

  Cute, Comfortable, and Perfect for Summer

  These espadrilles are absolutely adorable and have quickly become one of my favourite summer shoes. They have the perfect boho, casual look while also giving off a dainty "forest princess" vibe with the wrap-around ankle ties. They pair beautifully with dresses, skirts, or even jeans, and I've gotten so much wear out of them already.I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are, especially since I have fairly high arches. The cushioned footbed provides great support, and the wedge is low enough to make them easy to walk in for hours without discomfort. The overall quality also feels excellent, from the stitching to the jute-wrapped sole and fabric upper.The only thing I'd mention is that they ran a little large for me. I wear a size 6, and they felt about half a size too big, so I added a small adhesive insert under the toe area, which solved the problem perfectly. Once I did that, they fit comfortably and stayed secure thanks to the ankle ties.These are stylish, well-made, and incredibly comfortable.   A lovely lovely summer shoe

  Anyone who shops Cushionaire regularly knows that committing to a size with them may be a mild gamble. I go back and forth between a 6 and a 6.5 depending on the style, and with these I guessed wrong — the 6 would have been the right call. The 6.5 is just slightly loose through the toe box, enough to notice but not enough to make the shoe unwearable.What saves the fit is the elastic ankle strap, which wraps in a way that's reminiscent of a ballerina flat tie — it holds the shoe to the foot even when the fit isn't perfect, and it does so without digging in or leaving marks. On a half size up, that strap is doing meaningful work.The shoe itself is everything a summer espadrille should be. The jute-wrapped wedge gives enough height to feel like I've got some help at 5'2, the closed toe is practical for days when open-toe isn't right but a full shoe feels like too much.The construction feels solid for the price point, the jute wrapping is tight and even, the upper doesn't feel like it's going to separate from the sole after three wears, and the elastic has enough stretch to accommodate without losing its shape.If your size runs between Cushionaire sizes, take the smaller one.
