Good water conditioner
I used Seachem Prime for years and wanted to try out something different. It’s very similar to Prime. It removes chlorine, chloramines, and detoxifies ammonia, nitrite , and nitrates. It’s your handy friend when doing fish in the nitrogen cycle. All you have to do is add fish and use this product along with beneficial bacteria, and you should be good to go! I recommend this product over Seachem Prime. Btw fish in cycle is possible only if you know what you’re doing.Ver másVer menos

Works Well on Bacterial Bloom
Works really well, I really like that I can add just a few drops at a time to my smaller tanks. It unfortunately smells similar to Seachem Prime, which I was hoping it wouldn't but I understand. It's been helping one of my fish tanks that has been having a Bacterial Bloom for the past few weeks due to a faulty air pump.Ver másVer menos

It works somewhat.
Where I live the chloramines are horrendous. I have to create my own dosage every time I water change. I do this BEFORE adding the water to the tank as directed by the local water dept. Otherwise I'll see ammonia at testing.So, it does work and it WILL eliminate Nitrites instantly. Just be ready to add more than the bottle says. Also, there's no breakdown on amount PER GALLON! One cap per 50 gallons? That's it? How much is that exactly in a 10 gallon tank? I'm no math genius and I couldn't even find this formula with research. So good luck with that. I'm putting 2 ml. per gallon since that takes the ammonia test to zero. That's it.Ver másVer menos

It works.
It works just like another brand called prime. But it also gets chlorine out of water which prime does not. I'm happy with the product and it works as I used to help cycle my tank with some fish in it.

Dosing is easy
All water conditioners do what they are supposed to do. This one kinda throws the kitchen sink at the water so it's got you covered for almost anything.What I like most is counting drops instead of... hmmm yeah that's about 1/2 oz. I know it will last a long time because it's easy to get the dose right.Ver másVer menos

Calling all newbs
This is a top-notch water conditioner by an elite aquarium potion company. Fritz Guard has supplanted Fritz Complete as my standard potion, however I keep both in the fish cave and will continue to keep both in the future. The products are both high quality and have some overlapping purposes, however they also have differences. If you are a newb fish-keeper, Complete is probably the way to go given its ability to neutralize the harmful fish waste compounds. However, once your tank/filter is established and you are more experienced, switching to Guard makes more sense (or I suppose you could use both concurrently). At least that's my story and two cents.
