Great Energy Booster
I was concerned about my B12 and my doctor recommended I take a supplement of 1000 mcg once daily. I started out with the powder form, but didn't like the inconvenience of mixing and the mess. Also, when the container got about half way down the short tiny scoop made it difficult to reach.I switched to capsules which was way more convenient, portable and easy to take. I reduced the level to 500 mcg after recent lab work showed my B12 was slightly above normal. This supplement has increased my energy levels and I find myself not as fatigued as before.I chose Nutricost because of the good reviews, brand name with a good reputation and the price was affordable. As I've gotten older, I've realized how important it is to take better care of myself, and adding a B-12 supplement to my routine felt like a simple place to start. It's still too early for me to say whether I've noticed any real benefits, but so far everything has been positive. The packaging is good, the vitamins seem well made, and the overall quality appears to be on par with what you'd find from similar products at most stores. If you're looking for a straightforward B-12 supplement from a brand that presents itself well, this seems like a solid option based on my first impressions.Ver másVer menos

Finally, 500 mcg B12 from a good company rather than 1000 mcg doses!
I started taking vitamin B12 on the suggestion of my doctor because we eat lower on the food chain. We're not not vegan or vegetarian, but our diet is more legume & veggie-focused. However, I didn't want huge doses of B12 since we do eat some meat, and most supplements seem to default to 1000 mcg dose, which was more than I wanted/needed. My compromise was to take the 1000 mcg pill on alternate days.I'm very happy that Nutricost now has a 500 mcg version so I can manage my supplement levels better, and not waste money on pills that dose me more vitamin than I want.Also, this is using the natural form of B12 from methylcobalamin instead of the artificial cyanocobalamin (previous pill I had). My previous version was a much smaller pill (pictured) that dissolved in your mouth - here, the instructions are to drink with 8+ oz of water.It was easy to swallow, no discernable taste, and easier to handle than the *tiny* pill, and no concerns so far.
