My new favorite device!
This compact e-ink reader is a fantastic device that easily attaches to your phone, ensuring you always have it with you. Matching the thickness of the iPhone Air, its small footprint makes it incredibly portable. Since it is always accessible, I find myself reading much more often. Unlike reading on a phone or iPad, the e-ink display causes no eye strain, even during long reading sessions.To get the most out of the device, I highly recommend using CrossInk, which unlocks additional features like custom sleep screens. If you need help getting started or want to explore advanced features, there are plenty of tutorials available on YouTube.My only real complaint is the lack of an alignment magnet. While it sticks well to the phone's built-in magnets, it can spin out of alignment on the back of the phone. However, this is a forgivable flaw given the affordable price point and the otherwise awesome usability of this reader.Ver másVer menos

Not a Kindle, But a Great On-the-Go Reading Tool
I purchased the XTEINK X3 eBook Reader after reading mixed reviews, and here’s my take. It’s a neat little gadget, especially for those who like the idea of a mini eBook reader that attaches to the back of your phone. While it doesn’t replace a Kindle, it shines in its own way.The XTEINK X3 is portable for quick reading sessions during commutes, breaks, or while waiting for my daughter’s classes to end. By contrast, I find the Kindle better suited for longer, more immersive reading sessions, such as winding down before bed. Both devices serve different purposes, and I enjoy having both.The XTEINK X3 has some limitations. Wi-Fi setup isn’t the most convenient, especially if you need to save multiple networks. It also doesn’t support PDFs directly, so you’ll need to convert those files beforehand. Plus, the small screen and lack of a touchscreen might not appeal to everyone. It sounds more like a niche, “geeky” gadget.Overall, the XTEINK X3 is a great companion for distraction-free, on-the-go reading. If you’re looking for something compact and lightweight for short bursts of reading, this is a fantastic option. Good idea but so much needs improvement
I was very excited for this product and I do think the idea of having a small ereader ready to go is great but this product lacks alot of modern touches I wish it had.Pros:LightweightNon touchscreen fully reliant on buttonsCons:Battery lifeCharger is not a USB type C or even a regular oneApp for device does not work well with deviceDurability is bad, already cracked back of the product somehow, even when It was never dropped and always attached to the back of my phone.No backlightThis ereader has alot of work cut out for it for improvement.Ver másVer menos

Fantastic device that gets a ton of use
I LOVE this device. I bought the black version which looks great. I bought it to keep on the back of my phone so I can get reading done on the go instead of doom scrolling on my phone and I use it more than I thought I would! I highly recommend flashing the firmware to Crosspoint or Crossink as this makes navigating the UI much better and also opens up a lot of customizability.. It's also really easy to do! Battery life is fantastic, even better than my Kindle Paperwhite 12th gen. The pogo pin charging gets a lot of grief for being "proprietary" but it's actually a widely used interface--I ordered a USB C to pogo adapter off amazon just to have a backup. And I swear I've never needed to charge this guy.Speed is completely respectable: there is a slight indexing time when you open a new book or change the font but other than that, it turns pages instantly.The build quality great, it doesn't feel cheap and the buttons are fantastic.I drag files onto the microSD card because I wasn't able to figure out wifi transfer, but it includes a USB to microSD adapter so that was easy too.I can't emphasize enough how amazing this device is. I got a great deal on Amazon Prime Day and feel it's worth more than I got it for.Ver másVer menos

The X3 might be a touch too small and light
I recently bought bought both an X4 and an X3 from XTEInk through Amazon. The X4 is the perfect size, has a USB-C port, and (in my tactile and personal opinion) has the superior side button (double rocker). The X3 is the ultimate travel reader, but it might be a touch too small and light (imho); it has a proprietary magnetic pin charger (as opposed to USB-C), and the buttons are super-quiet.Both devices have excellent buttons in terms of quiet operation and satisfying feel.Neither device has a back-light. Neither device is touchscreen.Navigation around the UI can be a little tricky at first, but it's a quick learning curve. I downloaded some epub files from gutenberg.org, and I was off to the races, as they say.Both devices are ADDICTIVE. I just want to read another page and click to progress. Rise and repeat. If you're looking for something to drag you away from your phone screen, I can think of no better tech alternative (I own other ereaders).As others will tell you, I highly recommend flashing the alternative UI through Crosspoint. It too is very straightforward and quick to do.My bottom line is that I'm really, really happy with both devices, and I look forward to having a light and easy reading option with me at all times, as opposed to phone use. Love this little ereader
I love this little ereader. I've read 2 books on it since purchase a few weeks ago and it just makes it EASY to read. I've had other ereaders in the past but this form factor just clicks with me. Also the way it works really is: load books, turn on, read.- Straightforward setup, even on stock. To note though, stock firmware did have trouble with fonts. After the epub was loaded, there were no italics, paragraphs that were supposed to be all bold only had the first word bolded. But there were fixes for this and I enjoyed tinkering with the settings.- Solid build- Easy to read display- Comfortable to hold, easy to turn pagesRecommend to anyone who wants a convenient way to read whether at home or on the go.Ver másVer menos

Best device ever
I did noooot think I would like this device!! I originally got it to test out e-readers, and the first thing I did when I got the package was download Cross Point. And WOW!! I have read more and faster than I ever have in my adult life!! I feel the wonder again, especially since I have such a busy busy on-the-go lifestyle. It fits on the back of my phone and comes everywhere with me. I read every day, and reach for it before I scroll. It's super fun, and I love love loooove it.I suggest this device to anyone who finds themselves on their phones scrolling for no good reason.Ver másVer menos

Works pretty good for the price.
For $70, it's not bad. The downsides : It won't connect wireless to my network, and it took a while to get phone hotspot to work. Limited compatibility. I put content on the included SD card. Getting eBooks to convert to ePub, needs Calibre (free), and for pictures, Windows Paint. No big deal. I put ePub books Txt files and BMP pictures (It won't read anything else ) onto the included SD card and read them that way. That's easy. Shut it off. Pop out the SD card. Plug it into a computer or what have you. Load content on the card, plug it into the reader and turn it on. It's tiny, the reading experience is comfortable, the e-ink screen is nice. Great for reading whenever you have to wait for something. Different people can use it by changing SD cards. Decent value for the money. If you want a better eReader, you're going to have to invest more money.Ver másVer menos
