Fantastic Tablet at a Great Price
After going through a bunch of cheap tablets, I came across this gorgeous TCL tablet. It has a huge 12.2" inch screen, which is crisp and colorful. This tablet is also pretty speedy when multi-tasking and have not run into any crashes or freezing. Pretty much does whatever I throw at it. I added a 256 gb SD card for that little extra storage. An Absolute Steal in This Day and Age
Very impressed with this tablet's performance especially for the price(under $200 at the time of this review).I initially purchased this tablet because I wanted a tablet that used micro sd cards in order to watch movie files I forgot I had on an old external drive. The screen size if absolutely perfect for viewing anywhere without straining your eyes or neck. The weight is about the same as my phone surprisingly, I could hold it one handed with the separately purchased case while laying in bed. In person it definitely looks and feels like a premium product, the packaging accomplishes this too without being so over the top with unnecessary inserts. I personally prefer the neutral tone dark blue color because it doesn't stick out, also I appreciate the matte over something glossy. If I had to list an con its just that these android tablets do not have access to Apple/Itunes purchased television shows. It is possible using the app Movies Now to connect your Apple account and have access to your purchased movies but not your purchased television shows. Other than that if you're on the fence I see absolutely no reason to hold back, products of this quality are definitely hard to come by at this price point these days and who knows how long this will last at this point.Ver másVer menos

Great Tablet- But NO GPS Chip built in
This Tablet has NO GPS SYSTEM! It would of helped if somewhere it had stated that. I bought it for navigation on my boat! And when I called Customer support..they skirted the issue and hemmed and hollered around about my direct question.BUT that being said...OTHERWISE it's a great tablet.. Bright enough for outside..super high resolution screen..And the aspect ratio stuff..Well, I never knew how much better a screen could be until we got this one.. Some screens to get an advertised 13" diagonal screen...Well, a lot of companies make 'em longer ..but shorter.. to get that diagonal measurement! Not these guys.. They increase both the height and the width to get to their advertised screen width..It's just a lot more fantastic screen to look at.. and the faster refresh rate..It redraws stuff much quicker than most tablets or some computers..and then on top of that..the extra high resolution is as advertised..GThe software new things..like the circle to search.. or that magic hub, or whatever its called..where you can save any portion of an article that you are reading and it saves it and categorizes it, and thenm can add other snippets you take to that category etc.. Well thats really neat too..I could go on and on about the good things of this tablet..But I'm still bummed that it does not state, nor did they admit, that it doesn't have a GPS chip built in.. So unless its connected to the internet..it can't navigate you. Most Android tablets have that (built-in) ability!So my wife is now loving this tablet..and I had to get a different Android tablet that does have a built-in GPS chip.Ver másVer menos

Great value for the money
This is a great android tablet. Although it does run TCL's proprietary operating system, it is true android. Connects easy to the play store and I have yet to run into any of my apps that do not work on the tablet. The device is fast to book and a great value for the price. It has a great screen quality and the battery seems to last a very long time in my initial usages.Ver másVer menos

Not up to snuff
This was probably one of the worst purchases I ever made. The reviews I read sounded really good and I felt like I was making the right choice for what I wanted it for. I was sadly disappointed. I felt like I bought a manual transmission instead of an automatic. I was going through hoops trying to move or transfer files especially from my SD card. I was constantly having to restart the tablet just to send emails and sometimes they wouldn't upload the attachments. Even with all the ram, switching was slow. I gave up and went back to my 5 year old tablet because it worked much better. I do not recommend this tablet to anyone.Ver másVer menos

Very nice; hard to set up.
Very nice, but hard to set up without a manual. I had to use one from another TCL product to figure it out. once working, it is a really nice tablet. I mainly use it to watch the news, but it does other things quite well, too.
