Great learning toy, but a lot of pieces.
The Color Sorting & Stacking Game is a really fun and educational activity for littles. The wooden pieces feel sturdy, and the 40 pattern cards (easy and hard) give kids plenty of ways to practice color matching, problem‑solving, and fine motor skills. It’s a great quiet‑time activity. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that some of the pieces can be a little tricky for younger kids to line up, so they may need a bit of help at first. Also, the pieces are little so be careful with toddlers who like to put things in their mouth. Still, it’s a thoughtful, well‑made Montessori‑style toy and a great gift for early learners.Ver másVer menos

Great learning toy!
This is a great stacking and learning toy. The wooden pegs each have color labels on them and the last two are for just stacking the extra rings. It is an absolutely great learning tool because you can stack all of the colors or there are cards provided where you can follow a pattern. It makes it very interesting for a child to play with. It comes with a nice bag that holds the cards and all the rings. I actually purchased this for my year and a half old granddaughter and she was interested in playing with it but was also interested in putting the rings in her mouth so it will be put away until she is older and learned not to do that. The toy does specify for ages three and above which makes good sense. The entire set seems very durable. The wood is nice looking and sealed and all of the rings appear to be sealed as well. The rings are nicely colored. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone with a child who is 3 years or older.Ver másVer menos

Pros:My 2- and 3-year-old both enjoy this game. This activity allows for independent exploration and/or more direct instruction. I would, however, recommend that you directly supervise your children with this as the rings could definitely pose a choking hazard.This game provides opportunity to practice and learn many other skills besides color identification such as sorting, patterns, and quantity. It provides ample opportunity to work on 1:1 correspondence of counting- counting how many fit on each column, how many there are of each color as well as work on different descriptive concepts by comparing who has more or less, whose stack is taller/shorter, etc. This game encourages fine motor practice.This game allows my boys to practice sharing and encourages team building, but the wood base piece is also long enough for them to each use their own side independently as well.Cons:Not crazy about the color choices. It comes with 7 selected color columns and two blank columns. It seems a bit weird to me to have ‘cyan’ as one of the colors, although I am sure they did that to keep the pretty, rainbow esthetic of the toy. For 3–5-year-olds I would rather it have white, brown, or black included rather than ‘cyan’ as if you ask a lot of adults, you will find that there are many that don’t know what color ‘cyan’ is unless they deal with printer’s ink cartridges. As this game is designed for 3–5-year-olds, I think it should stick to basic, fundamental colors.The cards are challenging. Not only are there too many things on each card allowing for a lot of visual distraction, there is little distinction between the orange/red and the cyan/blue when they are stacked together in the example your kid is to replicate (marked by pink lines). I just tried the ‘easy’ cards with my 3-year-old, putting a post it note over the cards to only show one pattern at a time, and it was still challenging. I definitely won’t be using the cards until they are quite a bit older.The rings are plastic, not wood as described in the listing. Although the plastic rings work perfectly fine, they are not what is advertised.Overall, although I removed a couple of stars because of my listed cons, I do feel that the game is worthwhile for the current price of $17.98 since it can target multiple skills and concepts. I also like that it can be used now with my relatively young kids, but will also grow with them in the future as their skills increase.

My 2 and 5 year old boys love this. They play with it quietly, so I love it too.The rings Are Smaller than I expected, and even these ages want to put them in their mouth so that worries me.My kids enjoy sorting it in whatever style they want. They make patterns or sort by color. The cards that this comes with are VERY difficult. Even the easy ones might be easy for an adult, but definitely not a 5 year old. The hard side is basically random color order. So I’d say ignore the cards. But the rest of the toy is functional without them.Material wise, the only wooden part is the stick base. The rings are plastic. The pictures and my past experience made me thing they would be wooden too. And the bag it comes with to store the rings is the most plastic bag I’ve ever seen, so I put everything in a small bucket instead because I did not want a plastic bag as a toy.Overall, the toy is a hit. But I deducted one star for the deceptive ring material, small ring size, and the too-difficult cards. Only one star deduction because I they don’t really affect game play and I would still be happy to purchase this toy.Ver másVer menos

Excellent development & learning toy
This is honestly one of the better educational toys I’ve bought for my toddler. My daughter is 2 and she will sit there forever stacking, sorting, matching colors, and trying to copy the challenge cards. I love that it keeps her busy while also actually teaching her something instead of just making noise like a lot of toys do 😂 You can really work on colors, patterns, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and even patience with this toy.Now I will say… I’ve reached that stage of parenting where I seriously dread toys with a million little pieces 😅 The second I opened it I already knew I was going to be hunting pieces down around the house lol. BUT my daughter loves it so much that it’s worth it. I just make it a habit to clean it up and put everything away as soon as she’s done playing because I’ve definitely learned my lesson from losing pieces to other toys in the past.I also have an 8-month-old, and this is super important to mention: the smaller pieces are absolutely choking hazards for babies. So if you have younger children in the house you definitely need to keep this separated and supervised. I keep it stored up high and only bring it out during my toddler’s playtime.Overall though, the quality is really nice, the wood pieces feel durable, the colors are bright and engaging, and it genuinely feels like a toy that grows with your child instead of something they’ll get bored with in a week. Definitely a great learning toy and one of the few toddler activities that keeps my daughter focused for longer than 5 minutes 😂Ver másVer menos

I have been looking into safer wooden toys for kids and this item was supposed to fit the bill. Unfortunately this is not as described. The listing described this as a fully wooden toy with a wooden stand and 70 wooden colored pieces, however the only wooden piece is the stand. The rings are actually plastic, and they're also definitely of a size that can be swallowed. I was disappointed that this was not all wood as described since I like the idea of a pattern toy for kids. I think if this was all wood it would have been great since it comes with pattern matching cards to challenge and provide fun and learning opportunities.Ver másVer menos

Good Concept, But Better for Older Kids
My twins like playing with this and enjoy sorting and stacking the colorful rings. It keeps them engaged for a while and helps with color recognition and fine motor skills.A couple things to note: despite the listing mentioning wooden rings, the rings in my set are plastic. Also, there are a lot of pieces. With 70 rings, they end up scattered everywhere, and the included storage bag isn't very practical for keeping everything organized.The challenge cards are pretty pointless for my twins right now. They'd rather free play with the rings than follow the patterns. I can see the cards becoming much more useful as they get older and are ready for more structured matching and problem-solving activities.For younger toddlers, it's mostly a sorting and stacking toy. Colorful rings - great way to practice counting - fun
There are seven different colors featured on the rings. The size of the rings are ideal for my three-year-old son. The pieces are lightweight. The wooden game fits away in to the box for compact storage.There are some cards included in the set that have different color combinations. The point of the game is to copy the color codes of the cards on to the sticks. Complexity levels range from easy to hard. This is challenging for my three-year-old son, but it will be a great learning tool as he gets older.This toy has been a perfect tool in teaching my son about organizing, matching, counting, and math. Great game!
We played this game on our phones for a couple years but are trying to spend more digital free time with our kids and this game allows us just that. I thought the rings would be wooden though but they are plastic. Too bad. That’s a bit disappointing but it’s still a good game. We’re keeping it.Ver másVer menos

Simple sorting game but captivates our 4-year-old
This sorting/stacking game is pretty simple but holds our 4-year-olds attention for long periods of time.Included is a wooden board with nine dowels; a bunch of coloured rings, and cards that show patterns to stack the rings.My son mostly likes to arrange similar colours together, but we can also ‘work together’ to replicate patterns on the cards.Interestingly, this set comes with different amounts of each colour (more orange than anything else) – I’d prefer a few more rings, and an equal number of each colour to allow more free-play.This is a good sorting activity for a toddler/young child.Ver másVer menos
