Great kit - great price - rod clips break, have a spare ready.
If you have a car - that's older than 5 years old - I highly recommend this kit. The plastic rod clips get brittle over time - and need to be replaced when the break - Instead of hunting around and waiting for clips to show up - having this kit around will save you time and frustration!With the sheer amount of clips you get - you really can't go wrong on the price! It's Very reasonable instead of paying 8 dollars for a handful of clips - this kit gives you a multitude of clips, and a case for them. This is a win win.I've had to replace the clips on my truck's tail gate - and on my old Saturn's driver door latch release rod. This kit contains exactly what I need.Any latch mechanism attached to a rod - will have a clip like this. I might even say - if you see a clip and your car is older - it might be a good idea to go head and replace it. Typically if you have door panel off for any reason you have to disconnect a rod clip and they tend to break - depending on how old your car it.Installing these is super easy - just position it and push it on. I've never had problems putting replacement clips on in the past, and these are identical to the kind I already own.You get left and right oriented clips - and three different sizes - This is a good deal here. A Must-Have Time Saver for the Shop
Working in an auto shop, kits like this are basically a necessity for those countless times we run into broken clips. These tiny plastic pieces get old and brittle, and between that and the constant torque applied to them over and over from opening and closing doors, they break all the time. Instead of having to halt a job, look up a factory diagram to find the exact part, and wait around for the parts store or dealership to deliver it, we can just grab this kit. It saves so much time and keeps things moving. Like most plastic trim clip assortments, I doubt it's 100% comprehensive for every single car on the road, but it covers a good majority of vehicles that roll into the shop.The variety is solid, giving you 8 different shapes and sizes of clamps that fit everything from door lock rods to tailgate pull rods on both left and right-hand handles. They're made of a really tough, high-density plastic that stands up to crazy temperature swings and won't just snap the first time you use them. Plus, they just snap right into place without needing extra tools. What I really appreciate is that the whole set comes neatly organized in a compartmentalized storage box with a handy classification guide inside, so you aren't digging through a jumbled mess to find the right piece. These "80PCS Door Lock Rod Clip Set for Lock Linkage Fixing, 8 Sizes" are all there, as described. The storage box configuration is less than desirable. The clips are as cheap feeling as other aftermarket one I've used, such as Dorman brand.

Quality looks ok
These appear that they may have been made from a softer plastic than the original. I think that could be a good thing, to keep the plastic edges from getting too brittle and breaking like the old one did.This is a nice set that has a bunch of colors and styles that I’ve never used before but for a great price always nice to have this little organized box on hand. I needed another squeeze type clip for a door that seems to break or wear down is really the issue on a ford expedition door. It squeezes around a rod that allows a little slide up and down, then the round prong that is made after it is squeezed together goes into the door handle bracket. I had hoped a version of that was in this set, but no luck. So I did replace the other clip while I had the door apart, that was at the end of the locking arm, and found the needed clip at the local dealer (but almost as much for one clip as this entire set). High quality and comprehensive kit fixed my Silverado door latch issue
One of the clips on my 2006 Silverado door handle linkage rods was broken and consequently the door latch rod on the driver's door would occasionally fall off preventing me from opening the door from the outside. Since the clips on the door handles were 20 years old I began searching for a kit that contained all the clips necessary to replace all of the clips on both doors of my Silverado. Thankfully I found this inexpensive 80 piece kit on Amazon and manufactured by Purthog that appeared to contain all the clips I needed. The clips on the 2006 Silverado are color coded and the clips in the Purthog kit matched the color and style of the clips on the 2006 truck. They are made from tough and resilient nylon which is an important consideration for longevity since harder non-nylon plastics clips tend to break prematurely. The first step to replace your old clips is to find a clip that matches your old clips rod diameter and configuration. Once you find the matching clip, the old clip is easily removed by pinching the old clip with an appropriate tool and then pushing it out of the hole in the door latch linkage arm and then snapping the new clip into the vacant hole. This Purthog door lock rod clips installed easily and fit perfect in my application and resolved the issue on my Silverado which makes them a fantastic value and their tough nylon construction ensures years of trouble free service.Ver másVer menos

Old car essential
I picked this set up because finding decent clips for my older C1500 is getting to be a real headache. Tracking down specific aftermarket parts for these trucks is often a pain, and hitting the local junkyards usually just means finding more old, brittle plastic that’s ready to snap. I ended up using one of these clips to fix the lock linkage on the driver’s door, and it’s a massive relief to have a variety of these on hand instead of scouring the web or trying to salvage something that’s already half-worn out. The kit covers a solid range of sizes, and while I’d guess it isn’t a universal fit for every vehicle out there, it seems like it’d be compatible with a lot of older domestic trucks and cars like mine. What a great selection.
I needed a single door lock rod clip for a GMC van and didn’t want to drive the sixty plus miles round trip to get it. I’m also working on a 1968 car that will need most of the clips replaced. The 80PCS Door Lock Rod Clip Set includes the parts needed for both at a great price that is less than $6 . It saved me much more than that in gas alone. Fit is good for the side door of the van and the plastic appears to be good quality. The quantity that you get is great.
