Great piano to learn on.
After 53 years since I quit piano lessons, I decided to take it up again so I bought the YDP-105. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. It would be nice to have greater power and a few features of the more expensive pianos, but this checks all the boxes and sounds great. If they made these back when I was a piano student, I would never have quit, because I could use headphones and not hear my brother watching his stupid after-school movies on the TV. I'm very tall (6'4"), so I'll be making a new pair of legs that are 1 1/2" taller than the stock legs so I can use the pedals (I read that Japanese pianos tend to have the keybed lower than other brands). Other than that, I'm very happy with this purchase. Good feel in the keys, nice appearance, and good sound.Ver másVer menos

Great piano, easy to assemble.
My wife LOVES it. Easy to assemble, light enough for one old man to handle it. Great tone.

Make sure you have help with you when it is delivered, cuz it's heavy.
I sold digital pianos over 30 years ago. Yamaha, had always been my favorite. This model, regardless of the low price, meets every expectation I ever could have had. I absolutely love it.You'll love the sound, the feel, and even the look of it as furniture. Worth every penny!Ver másVer menos

Beautiful sound; very nice looking
I love this keyboard! It has amazing sound and is easy to put together. Being someone with a rather heavy touch, the weighted keys are definitely a plus for me. HOWEVER, upon putting it together directly from the box, the pedals did not work. I called a Yamaha technician who came to my home and replaced the pedal mechanism; it did not work, either. Fortunately, he was insightful and experienced enough to bring an additional part which he installed successfully. I am extremely happy with this product even though I was made to feel a little uneasy about the replacement part that did not work; hopefully that was the last of it.Ver másVer menos

⚠️⚠️DON’T BUY THIS KEYBOARD!!!⚠️⚠️
PLEASE DON’T BUY!!!!!’⚠️ I never write reviews, but this time I have to!We were so excited to buy this piano for my 15 year old son. He has been practicing with an old keyboard and it was time to get him a nice weighted keyboard. We purchased it in January of this year. My son’s piano teacher suggested this piano and she even mentioned that it will last many years. Fast forward to April, just around 3 months after we bought it, and the piano doesn’t work. The turn on button stopped working. We troubled shooter using the guidance the vendor provides on his page (which by the way it is very suspicious that they have a very descriptive guidance for troubleshooting a not turning on button). Anyways after a few days, it turned on again, but then the button would not turned off. So it will stay off even when not in used. It has been doing that for a couple of weeks now. My son’s old keyboard lasted us over 20 years. We weren’t expecting this keyboard to last that long but 3 months doesn’t seemed fair for a $1,000 keyboard.Anyways, I contacted Amazon and let them know about the problem. They stated that the since it was past the 30 days return window that they needed to contact the vendor which they did. The vendor responded and suggested that we trouble shooted using their guidelines. We started that we had already done that and the keyboard doesn’t work as expected. They responded again saying that sorry for the inconvenience, but that they can’t do anything other than to suggest to call Yamaha and see if they can help.I have tried contacted Yamaha with no luck and Amazon just sent a message that the inquiry is not closed. Today my son tried to turned on the piano again and it wouldn’t turned on.We paid almost $1,000 for this keyboard and it was an early birthday present for my son. Needless to say, we’re disappointed. At this point I don’t know what we’re going to do and so we wanted to warn others. Please avoid this and buy it directly from Yamaha or a different vendor. I have a feeling that these are refurbished pianos being sold as new.We wasted $1,000 and now will need to either try to find someone to fix it or just buy a new one from a local vendor.
