Excellent drive for the price
While not the fastest drive in the series, it is still plenty fast to use for running apps and cashing on the Ugreen DXP4800 Pro.

Super fast and affordable in today's market
Worked instantly, wish it came with an extra m.2 screw but I was able to track one down.

All you would want form a true PCIe 4.0 SSD
I use mine in a USB 3.2 attached NVMe SSD carrier as a high-speed portable drive. For large files (42GB) I can achieve 8Gbps read and 5.1Gbps write over that interface. That meets my needs but is really a measure of my USB 3.2 controller since the SSD will be about 8x faster. I have every confidence that the actual drive speeds are close to the advertised 7.1 / 6.7 GBps. (Note the bps for the USB 3.2 interface and Bps for the device PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds).Sandisk spun out from parent Western Digital in 2025 and I am sure the controller used in the SSD owes a great deal to the combined company. No problems at all with performance. The actual memory device is a single Sandisk branded 1TB device made by Kioxia (formerly Toshiba) in Japan and packaged in China mounted on a substrate (board) with very few other components, the largest being the also Sandisk branded PCIe interface. So no hard to cool collection of devices of differing heights and a paper label on top here. In my brief test of file transfers no device really got warm in 10 minutes of hard use. There should be no need to add an extra heatsink even in a warm PC or laptop enclosure.Wear reliability is excellent too at an advertised 1.2PB write. That is a lot.Recommended.Ver másVer menos

Works on my PS5 but I have to add an extra heat sink because of the low air flow.
GOOD QUALITY DRIVE FOR PS5 STORAGE EXPANSIONI ordered this SanDisk Optimus 1TB 5100 SSD to add extra storage space to my PS5. The drive itself is well built, which is standard quality for SanDisk products.Keep in mind if you plan to install this in a PS5, you will need to buy a separate heatsink. Because of the limited airflow inside the console's expansion slot, running an M.2 SSD without a heatsink isn't recommended. I am waiting for my heatsink to arrive before completing the installation, but this drive will give me the extra capacity I need for my game library.Ver másVer menos

It is fast, same as the WD SN 5100.
Great SSD, 7100Mbs is achievable.
