Affordable and very good quality OLED monitor.
Very good price of $400 for a very good OLED monitor. At first I was worried this would be a bad financial decision because of how flimsy and lightweight the monitor felt out of the box. But after using it for several days, I determined that the display quality exceeded my expectations. Even though the structure of the monitor felt light and flimsy, it is still plenty durable. That light weight might actually be beneficial feature. The monitor position can be adjusted up and down, swiveled left and right around the axis of the monitor base, tilted up and down, and tilted left and right to either have it in portrait or landscape positions. That may have sounded confusing, just understand that you can adjust this monitor in nearly any way you want it. As far as brightness goes, many people on YouTube complained about this panel not being bright enough. But in my room with very bright lights, I have no problems with the screen's brightness. Perfect gaming monitor
It’s a beautiful screen si far. I can’t speak on longevity as I have only had it for a week now, but so far so good. I bought it to use with my ps5 and older gaming pc and it works great. The colors are beautiful and the size is perfect for my setup. I got it for $399. Given the specs it was the best deal at the time. I did a little of research on different monitors and for similar specs I was already at $600 and up.Ver másVer menos

Fantastic Monitor; Great build but buy on discount!
Picked up this OLED during the July 4th sales to see if it was truly worth it or just a fad. The panel is fantastic—rich, vibrant, and buttery smooth. The stand is sturdy with height adjustment, plus basic tilt and rotation. It’s stunning for strolling around Skyrim, from majestic mountains to glowing auroras at night. No glare issues so far, though I’ve been using it in a dim room. Definitely grab it on discount; a VA panel can’t compare (if you haven’t tried OLED, you don’t know what you’re missing), but at full price you could snag three 1440p monitors or an entry-level OLED with $200 left over.Ver másVer menos

Big value monitor - put it on your list!
I purchased this monitor as a secondary monitor and I wanted a 27” for shooters/daily work.I have an LG 32” 4k monitor that was $1000. This g61SH is freakin impressive. I had a Samsung G7 in the past and its image is comparable but with obviously all of the OLED goodies.When on, both the LG32 and G61 portray the same rich blacks. I cannot discern a difference. Gamma and brightness, comparable but the G61 does look blown out..can be fixed with tweaking. The LG shines in color accuracy, but the whites are more magenta. The G61 has a cooler white, which I preferred. So, I adjusted the red contrast on the LG to match.After about an hour of trial and error, I color matched my monitors, ran some games, watched some media, and fine tuned the Samsung to my liking. I am pushing the monitor to the full 240hz and its just as smooth as the LG in Warzone, Fortnite, and Cyberpunk. The LG outperforms in multimedia. Im not big on HDR but the G61 does look pretty good!4/5 stars. If the panel was slightly better optimized via settings out of box, I think it would benefit the customer more overall. The price point heavily drove this rating as the overall value was extremely impressive to me. If you are looking at monitors in the $350-$400 range, this should be a contender.Ver másVer menos

Make sure you calibrate HDR in windows and tune the display
At first I thought it was a terrible display, factory settings are not good. Compared to my LCD, I was horrified.After tuning it and activating HDR in windows, that was completely reversed, now I love it. So just make sure you do that yourself.

Disappointed with Color and Brightness
For reference, I have a sony oled tv, and an lg lcd gaming monitor so I familiar with the pros and cons of each technology. This samsung model is a terrible buy for a number of reasons. To start, QD-oled and a matte screen is not a good combination. Those deep blacks that oled is known for will look purple or magenta with any amount of ambient light, even light coming from the screen itself. Second, the tint fringing is unbearable. Any white color with a black border will not look white, more like pinkish/yellow. It's hard to describe but it just looks ugly. Colors other than white or black look ok, but again something just seems off, it's uncomfortable and causes eye strain after only an hour or two. Spent some time seeing if I could calibrate the colors in the settings and with the microsoft app, but if you fix an issue with one color, it'll create an issue with another one. Finally, the brightness: you're not going to get anywhere near true HDR at a peak 400 nits. Companies need to be more transparent about this. It's not about the monitor's overall brightness, but for peak brightness on a small percentage of the monitor's screen for a short time. Think stars in a night sky or a reflection of the sun on a windshield. To get good HDR you'll need at least 600-700 nits on HDR setting, but 1000+ is where you really want to be.In conclusion, don't make the mistake I did by purchasing this monitor, it's getting returned. This is not a good oled monitor getting a price drop, it's a budget monitor using budget technology and tries to claim to be more than it is.Ver másVer menos

A worthwhile upgrade for my setup!
Upgrading this from an LG Ultragear 1440p 144hz monitor, which was also 27 inches in size.This is my first ever OLED display of any kind and I've heard so many great things about them, mainly how the colors and blacks are super vibrant.I have decided to stick with 2560x1440, since that's the resolution I like to play all of my games on and the upgraded refresh rate from 144hz to 240hz is super helpful for fast paced and action packed competitive PvP titles such as Fortnite, CS2, Overwatch, etc etc.Even games that aren't necessarily PvP look amazing on this monitor, great examples I've shown such as Helldivers 2, Genshin Impact. Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, BeamNG Drive and Red Dead Redemption are fantastic to look at thanks to the OLED display's eye popping colors.It's also great to know that this monitor can do certain things my old one could not, such as being able to adjust the height of the stand and to rotate it horizontally. The latter I have no reason to do so but if you're looking for a monitor for horizontal use and would like the advantages of an OLED display, look no further than this.At the time of purchase of this display, it supposedly comes with a free Steam key for the newly released Resident Evil: Requiem. I have yet to receive it but when I do, I'll update this review to show off how the game looks on this display.I'm using this with my PC equipped with a Ryzen 7 9700X and a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of video memory using a DisplayPort cable and it's running all of my favorite games at 1440p at 240hz refresh rate.This display also does support both NVIDIA's G-Sync for GTX/RTX GPUs (despite the product details here NOT mentioning it) and AMD's FreeSync for Radeon GPUs, which does help smooth things out on the display as much as possible.Maybe next time I'll go for a 4K OLED monitor with a high refresh rate when, and if (a big IF) those drop in price.Ver másVer menos

Amazing Monitor
IPS to OLED (especially QD) is an insane jump. I bought this for ~$320 during Prime Day and it's probably the most worth it purchase I've ever made. No flickering, great quality (1440p on 27"), and obviously made for gaming since it supports FreeSync Premium Pro. Colors are terrific out of the box but monitor and GPU settings allow for further tweaking. I cannot speak on durability yet as I've only had this a couple weeks, but I trust that it's made to last.Ver másVer menos

A++++ Do Not Miss Out!!!
Absolutely incredible monitor. It has to be said. You can tell on first boot that it's quality and incredible bang for your buck. Especially if you get it on sale like i did.The very first thing i noticed is how vibrant and deep the colours pop and the BLACKS! It's unreal when you are used to and coming from VA or IPS LCD panels.The Display Port 1.4 or the HDMI 2.1 port both allow you to get the complete package this monitor offers. The brilliant 240hz refresh rate, crisp 2560x1440 resolution, G-Sync or Freesync, 0.03ms, and beautiful stunning HDR if you enable High Peak Brigness in the settings.One issue i had with a previous monitor is that you could only achieve the full features and specs of the monitor via display port while the hdmi 2.0 limited the refresh rate and made G-Sync not an option for Nvidia users. So i am glad on this one whether you are on display port or hdmi you arent restricted and can fully utilize this monitor as it has compatability regardless of your specific configurations.Theres nothing bad to say about it from my experience. It far exceeded my expectations and i definitely consider it money well spent. The only downside compared to other premium monitors is you don't have multiple HDMI or display ports, and you dont have any USB hub for connecting your peripheral devices. But for this kind of price for what you are getting i dont think that's worth taking a star for. What you already get feels so elite and premium i can understand missing that for the sake of making this experience as affordable as it is.I highly recommend to anyone. If you want a top of the line quality QHD monitor thats easy on your wallet this is the ONE.Ver másVer menos

Excellent monitor cost me too much compared to today's price.
I am looking at this monitor as I type this review. it is the best monitor I have ever had even though my previous two monitors cost two hundred dollars more. Unfortunately, I see that the price today is $500, a full $300 cheaper than when I bought this three weeks ago. I don't need to tell you that I feel really frustrated with this.
