Size stars 5 gallons. It really holds about 3-1/2 gallons of that. Ease of cleaning is okay. Came for the money is good. Effectiveness is ok.

Saved my life
It didn’t actually save my life but I actually love this. It’s perfect for the precise cleaning that I do in my aquarium and the water suction is really good. I love the clips that it comes with to attach to a bucket and overall I think this was a good purchase.The one thing I have noticed is that when I press the bulb to suck up water it doesn’t really do that as well when I got it the first time. Now I kind of have to submerge it under water slightly to get that flow of water going but otherwise I really like it.Ver másVer menos

Works well as described however... the tubing is small in diameter and drains the tank very slowly without much suction to suck up bottom debris. If you're draining say 8-9 gallons you can safely go to the store for over an hour+ without worry. One extension reaches the bottom of a typical 10 gal tank fine & with both extensions the bottom of a taller say 21" high 55 gallon tank. Not going to return it but disappointed in how slow it drains and the little bottom suction it provides.Ver másVer menos

Works Great for 5 Gallon Tanks!
I have been frustrated, trying ti clean my 5.5 gallon betta tank with a full size siphon gravel cleaner. It would suck out the water so fast that I wouldn’t be able to get much gravel vacuumed before there was too much water removed.This one is specifically made for smallTanks! The size is just perfect. The way it’s designed makes it so easy to use, and if very effective with vacuuming the substrate. It’s great quality- durable and should last a long time.The bulb is made from silicone, not stiff plastic like some of the bigger ones I’ve tried. So it’s easier to squeeze in and out to get the suction going.I am SO happy with it!Ver másVer menos

Very small bulb, not as pictured
Deceptive. This pump is made for a child's hand. Very small pump bulb that i have to use 2 fingers to use it. It does work, so at least it functions.

The gravel gets stuck in it!
This is the tiniest, thinnest, flimsiest gravel cleaner I've ever seen, and I've had fish for over 20 years and tried all sorts of gravel cleaners. The tubing is incredibly thin, especially the part that connects the bottom tube to the suction bulb. It's thinner than a drinking straw!!! The bottom tube that makes contact with the gravel is very short and narrow. The suction is very weak. As a result of all that, the gravel that normally gets sucked up the tube but then falls back down with other cleaners, with this cleaner, it stays in the tube, accumulates until it fills the entire tube, and then stays there, clogging the entire contraption. Even if you don't make contact with the gravel, the cleaner gets clogged easily by small debris accumulating inside the filter/barrier. So the already weak flow gets even weaker, to barely a trickle. It was rated good for a tank 40cm deep, and at that depth you've got quite a bit of water volume. Even if you do a 1/4 water change, that's still a lot of water to move out, and with this thing it takes FOREVER because it clogs and doesn't work normally. This is such poor design. If everything was wider, it would've been an excellent cleaner because it forms suction very easily (not like some where you pump until your hand cramps just to get it going). As it is right now though, it's a huge disappointment. I would not recommend.Ver másVer menos

Perfect Gravel Vacuum for Small Aquariums
After trying a larger gravel vacuum that wasn’t suitable for my nano aquarium, this one was exactly what I needed. The narrower tube makes it much easier to clean around plants and decorations without removing too much water. I also like that it comes with two different nozzle attachments, giving me more flexibility depending on the area I’m cleaning. The extendable handle is another great feature because it adjusts easily for both deeper and shallower tanks. Cleaning my aquarium is now much easier and more controlled. I highly recommend it for anyone with a small or medium-sized tank.Ver másVer menos

Would buy again
Works great, as expected. Easy to use, simple setup and design. Good value for the price. Helps me maintain my tank and do frequent small water changes easier.

Amazing product
Where has this been my entire life???Best product ever…Easy to use, big enough for my 75gl tank but adjustable to work in my 20gl too.
