Best curl refresher - You want 2 & 3 day curls ... this is what you need (Fine hair approved)
OK, so I'm new to curly hair - my profile picture my hair is straight because of (drum roll) PARABENS! I have baby fine hair that is very long and that plus parabens apparenlty kept my hair smooth and straight. When I switched to paraben free hair seemed to be puffing up higher and higher and then after my before bed showers it started turning into full on ringlets from my ears down behind my neck. I THOUGHT my hair was just sitting in the humidity behind my neck or something and it progressively came to this point where I couldn't deny it anymore -- So here I've been in my late 40s trying to figure out (Thank you YOU TUBE! ) how to have curly hair. That said, it took a good year and I'm talking a good thousand dollars just trying products and what I discovered was, while gel worked I had a hard time not having greasy looking hair with gel if I was going to use enough gel to actually hold a curl all the way down. I tried a infomercial product BC - little orange bottles you know the one - and the one thing I noticed was that stuff worked because it didn't weigh ANYTHING so my curls were so tight, maybe didn't last past day 2 but it worked. My niece has curly hair and my sister was buying her Marc Anthony curly haired products. I'd left Marc Anthony about a year and ago because I was losing SO MUCH hair (because I lost nearly 100 pounds over the past year).I returned about a month ago to Marc Anthony but switched to the curly products. Shampoo, conditioner, Curl it up Volume and the Curl Booster Spray and that's ALL I need day 1. I either shower the night before and start the next morning after wetting my hair OR do a shower earlier in the morning and then fix from fresh hair. I tend to use probably a little more than I need with those because I get a bit of a cast..... after my makeup is done I'll scrunch in a few light sprays of SDJaneiro conditioning mist to soften up the cast and this stuff holds all day - my curls bounce, I feel so girlie...I've tried sleep bonnets, somehow I magically pull those off while I'm sleeping - I want to try the pineapple thing but just to be transparent I wake up with hair that's had the whole night to run amok and it's about 20" long. Usually the bottom half of my hair is in the best shape, the top half on the other hadn relaxes quite a bit after sleeping on it I lightly dampen and scrunch the straightest areas with way less spray than I'd think I'd need - sometimes I'll even add a little bit of water but then I need more time so I can blow dry a bit longer. Most days just about 20 or so sprays throughout my hair. The mist is extremely fine, smells fresh and lemony and it just kills any day 2 body scent and curls just spring up out of nowhere.... If I wet it enough I want to dry those first few inches so they don't relax while they dry out with the added weight I'll spend about 7 minutes low heat diffusing so it's dry and while it does not match the day prior I'm still trying to decide if I might like it better than wash day. Day 3 - this stuff still does it's job! I usually do an up do with cute little tendril face framing curls because you know any product will kind of dull your shine by then.I use the shampoo and conditioner for curly hair I was worried the extra moisturizing conditioner would weight down my hair (I'm talking baby fine that test you do by rolling 1 or 2 strands between 2 fingers and figure out how thick your hair strands are - I feel nothing I just have lots of it) but it doesn't. The only difference between the prior shampoo and conditioner that revealed my curls -- the last conditioner left kind of a shelac feeling that that brand is known for.... I'll let you guess which one but I will say their rose scented variety without parabens and sulfates is quite nice and I'd returned to it because for all the bad reputation I thought, "maybe I'll stop losing my hair".If you've read to the end I highly, highly recommend trying the curly hair line if you have very fine curly hair. I recommend the sprays I've not tried any gel but I'd consider it if the sprays weren't magic and I'll be buying this refresher for a very long time with no desire to look for different. I can finally say I get mroe than 1 day curls. Prior I was wetting my hair all the way down and starting fresh with day 1 products + a bit more. Day 3 hair was not a thing.Ver másVer menos
