Works great for daily warehouse use
We use this scanner in a small warehouse setting for daily tasks, and it’s been working really well so far. Plugged it in and it was ready to go right away with no setup needed.Scanning is fast and accurate for both regular barcodes and QR codes. It reads labels quickly, even when the print isn’t perfect, which saves time during packing and sorting. The trigger feels comfortable and responsive, and the long USB cable is actually very useful when moving around a work table. For the price, it does exactly what we need it to do. Simple, reliable, and no issues after regular use.Ver másVer menos

Nice upgrade
Since getting this scanner the listing has been updated and now shows a wireless barcode scanner. This review is for the wired version. When I got the wired version it was a really good deal. A 2d barcode scanner for around $20 . But $10 more for the wireless version still sounds good. I can't say anything about the connectivity of the wireless version, but the wired version just plugs in and works.I got it to replace an older 1D scanner and 2d wasn't even on my mind. But this scanner offers 2d barcodes for the price of a traditional 1d scanner. It is easy to use, and basically just another input device that writes the decoded output inro whatever field you have selected.Ver másVer menos

Didn't work for my USPS tracking lables, but worked for other standard UPC codes.
USB Wand Barcode Scanners, especially USB ones, should be really easy to use and set up. I've been using bar code scanners for inventory and shipping labels for over 30 years now, and maybe this one is just wonky, but I didn't have any luck simply reading a USPS Tracking number without adding extra characters/symbols. I tried a few things and a couple of different machines, and even tried factory reset, and then proceeded to scan different setup codes to even try and see if any of that would work. It does seem to work fine on UPC labels, and it did technically read all of the USPS bar code, but it added parenthesis around part of it, which I'm sure are there, but I could not get them to not show up - tried a different brand and my previous one, and they both read the USPS labels fine. I saw that they offer help if you contact them, but in my experience, that just leads to messages or emails that don't get answered for several days.Ver másVer menos

Excellent quality little scanner that taught me the power of QR codes
Over the years, I’ve used various optical scanners, primarily for work-related tasks. However, with the rise of the Internet and the widespread use of smartphones, most of us have turned to scanning QR codes on products and advertisements, often finding links to websites. Driven by the allure of a good deal and the potential for practical applications, I decided to purchase this unassuming corded optical scanner, expecting it to meet my basic needs. Surprisingly, I discovered three compelling reasons why having the ability to read barcodes and QR codes could significantly enhance several aspects of my life.Since I frequently review products online, I envisioned using the scanner to track the products I review. This idea sparked a range of other applications in my mind.Overall, the scanner performs exceptionally well, adhering to the specifications provided in the product description. I’ve successfully connected it to various USB A and USB C ports using adapters, and it has connected to my computer almost instantly without any configuration or technical adjustments. Remarkably, I found that I could use the scanner with the application that came bundled with my computer’s laminated label tape printer to create custom QR codes. These QR codes can be printed on product boxes that I save for many of the items I purchase and own. Additionally, I’ve discovered several other practical uses for the scanner like the mega yard/garage sale I have in mind for this coming spring. In terms of compatibility, the scanner has proven to be incredibly versatile. While we primarily use Apple devices as a family, which can sometimes be problematic with some applications and devices made to work better with the more ubiquitous brand of computers and operating systems, the scanner has seamlessly worked with my Mac mini M4, the ThunderBolt Hub connected to my Mac mini M4, my MacBook Air, my iPad Pro 12.9”, and even my legacy Dell laptop, which I keep on hand for occasional Windows-based tasks. I’ve never encountered any issues with the scanner not working immediately after connecting it to any of these devices. This scanner is incredibly versatile, capable of reading printed barcodes and QR codes from various sources, including computer displays and my iPhone. I’ve never encountered any scanning errors that weren’t my fault. When plugged in, it emits a cheerful beep to indicate readiness. Additionally, it projects a red location dot to show the scanner’s intended reading area and illuminates the scanning region with white light for low-light conditions.Despite its lightweight design, the scanner is meticulously constructed with flawless seams, a robust connector, and cable. The listing assures users that the units are designed to withstand accidental drops due to their frequent handling and use in diverse, often challenging environments.Since acquiring this scanner, my perception of its utility has shifted from viewing it as a tool exclusively for retail, shipping, and inventory workers to recognizing it as a valuable and productive asset that can enhance various home and personal projects and activities with minimal effort. In my opinion, this scanner offers excellent value for its capabilities and features, and I highly recommend it if you’re considering purchasing it.

Simple to use barcode/QR scanner
This scanner works pretty plug and play and since its not wireless just requires a wired connection to work. It easily recognizes 2D barcodes and QR codes and can be used for a variety of tasks. I like to use it to catalog my home library and DVD collection as it allows you to seamlessly use it with any collection management software and imports the barcode automatically. Of course it may be a bit annoying to get used to the chord if you are scanning things that require a lot of movement but a positive of the chord is that you don't have to worry about remembering to recharge a wireless device or change any batteries.Ver másVer menos

Plug and play scanner that solved my basic needs
There are more and more basic barcode scanning needs for simple everyday online requests. Most people can use their phones to scan, but I can’t. I have Parkinson’s and using my phone is just too big a pain for me.Having a barcode scanner at my desk had become less of a convenience and more of a need. I ordered this and connected it to my desktop computer; it was plug and play. It has become in a few weeks a product that I pick up and use without a second thought.I’m not familiar with all the various codes this reads, and don’t need to know, I just need something for everyday use in place of my phone and this does the job well.Ver másVer menos
