Good simple kit at an affordable price

The CUTEBEE Book Nook Izakaya kit was fun and easy to build (I spent about two hours spread over a few days to complete). Although there are kits that appear to be identical to this one (except by name on the box) sold by other vendors, this seemed to be the most affordable. All parts and pieces came in the box and the parts fit correctly (didn't need to trim or force any parts together). The pieces were securely attached to the various placards and they were also easy to remove while I was building the kit. No need to use a razor to remove any of the pieces. I did have to buy some silicone modeling glue (not included with the kit) to attach a few pieces.I was really happy with the completed kit. Looks very nice. This Izakaya kit serves as a nice reminder of the wonderful time I recently had in Japan.Ver másVer menos

  Fun Build, Great Outcome

I loved this build. I had an afternoon and evening to myself and was looking for a good miniature to do and complete. This one was perfect - all parts punched out well, nice detail, nothing broke or chipped while assembling, and the touch light works great. Instructions were easy to follow. A few pieces needed to be pushed together a bit harder than others for a good/flush connection. Overall a very enjoyable crafting experience and a lovely finished product.Ver másVer menos

  Good value, quality, and fun

I ordered three different 3D puzzles for myself and granddaughters to put together. We all had so much fun! The granddaughter that put this one together did it in one setting saying she couldn’t stop bc it was so much fun. Good quality and value for the dollar - especially for “together time”! We’ve all added other ones to our gift lists!Ver másVer menos

  Use Tape and Wood Glue

This is really cute and fun to put together. The reason I took away the star is because the light works sporadically if at all. Also, don't glue the windows on. Use scotch tape or sticky dots. I would also use wood glue while constructing as you go so things won't fall off or apart. Because then you have to disassemble everything in its way in order to fix it-and what a hassle!Ver másVer menos

  Cute shelf decoration

My daughter and I had a fun time putting this together. It is not difficult but you must follow directions. It is not meant to be played with but rather to sit on a shelf as a decoration. Cute! I would purchase another to have a mother/daugther activity again!Ver másVer menos

Beautifully detailed and so much fun.

Just started on this kit from cutebee. The kit is very beautifully detailed, in colour. The pieces seem sturdy and fit well without much struggle. I did have alot of fun putting this shop together. For the most part I had no issues putting it together. U just have to b careful with the more fragile parts in this kit. It took me 10 hours to put together, but was also my first kit I have ever done. I will definitely get another kit from CUTEBEE. Great product.Ver másVer menos

  Thoughtful and beautiful design

Cutebee book nooks are my favourite for a quick, easy and rewarding miniature build. Perfect for a first time book nook or younger crafter. They have a delightful almost illustration like quality to them, and they look adorable lined up next to each other in a row. My daughter loves to play with these with her Sylvanian families.Unlike some other brands Cutebee are made entirely out of printed, laser cut craft wood, so are more like a puzzle than a true miniature build. This means they are quick to build and are easier for beginner or younger crafters (my 10yr old loves these and can make them entirely independently). The quality is great, pieces fit together well and are robust and don't break. The electronic lights for these sets is super easy, you just need to plug the wires into the battery box, no stripping wires, twisting wires together or wrapping wires in electrical tape. The design of the doors for the built in battery boxes always impresses me, even the battery box door handles have been thoughtfully designed. My hot tip is that the light switches work best when the electronic plate is glued into place on the underside of the craft wood piece the light switch is located on.Be warned - these are highly addictive!

  Great build quality

Everything snaps together really well - I barely had to use the supplied sanding stick for anything. The final look of the assembly is very nice, though I'll admit the yellow light is not quite as yellow as depicted in the pictures and is just a warm white.
