Great Print Quality
Printer needs are subjective. Mine starts with print quality as I make a lot of personalized greeting cards. My first time with this brand and results are positive. Starting with a very small footprint for a duplex machine, due mostly to a front loading paper tray rather than a rear feeder. I work with Mac OS, and set-up was the easiest of the major brand printers I've used over the years. One of the best maintenance features ever on a desktop inkjet is the front loading cartridge access. Just open the door, and the cartridges are easily accessed and replaced! Brother has a reputation for long lasting cartridges, and in the short time I've used this, the ink supply hasn't budged off full. So that may be a valid statement. The sharpness of the printing is exceptional, which is one of the criteria for the cards I produce. The only thing lacking is the intensity of color. Only so much can be done by manufacturers in this area. But the colors are clean and bright, and the detailed printing makes up for color density. Overall a well thought out printer, very user friendly, and takes up minimal space in your home. Very versatile; a good choice for any desktop printing without breaking the bank.Ver másVer menos

Ink black hole!
This printer just uses way too much ink! The printer does print fine, but for the amount of printing being done the ink does not last. Compared to the last brother printer this one replaced it is almost 10 times more ink used. The last brother printer lasted us for almost 10 years. This one is looking like it may be replaced within a year at this rate. The initial setup was far more dofficult than it needed to be also. Not worth spending money on.Ver másVer menos

Good deal.
Love this little printer! Wireless bluetooth is the best. Simple setup and easy to use. Print speed is fair on color and quick black and white. Double-sided printing is reliable. No jams after 9 months,

Awesome value for the price
I took a while to research this for my home office needs. We print random things and run a business out of the home. For the price, we got a huge amount of value. The scan and printing in a compact space that is quiet. On top of that it was basically plug and play and even connects with your phone. Print quality seems good so far. Great value. Not a simple set-up process.
The quality of the output is very good for the price of the printer. Set-up was not as simple as I've experienced with other printers. It's just not intuitive. If it were I would have rated it five stars.

Setup is easy!
I just set up my printer on a MacBook Pro running Tahoe 26.5.2. I was anxious because so many reviews noted setup difficulty but my setup was a breeze. 1 hour and 10 minutes from unboxing it, through setup, and testing every feature with both my Mac and iPhone via Airprint, including scanning and copying. The key is to use the Brother Mobile Connect app.One of the main reasons I picked Brother is that the other brands' software isn't yet Tahoe compatible (e.g., the Canon I'm replacing).Print speed and quality seems to be about what I would expect for a printer at this price point.Ver másVer menos

Would've give more stars, if it weren't for a staff rep!
Although this printer/scanner is working ok so far. What's upsetting, I kept getting a orange flashing light because a paper was stuck inside. I was able to fix the problem, except the light wouldn't go off,causing the printing to stay in pause mode. I tried everything the manual said,but still paused and not printing. So I called tech department. The guy I spoke with, needed permission to get into my computer to fix the problem. I could see the cursor roaming around, when he said he found the problem, and he started listening off a whole bunch of things he'd need to do to fix the problem. After his flipping babbling, he said, I'll be charged a little over $400 to get everything working 100%. I was speechless to say the least. I asked, just to get the light off and the printer to work? He said yes, and thats the only way. I said dude I've only had this printer 3 days now, and it's still under warranty, so why should I pay for it. Again he said that's the only way, I said or return this lemon, he had nothing to say.I called him a ripoff, told him to log off my PC, and thanks and good bye. I was so mad, because I had paperwork pending to be handed in. I figured I need a break, because my migraine started. I powered off my PC, printer, everything. Later that evening I logged back on,.... low and behold printer started printing everything and then some, because I had clicked print a few times, trying to get it to print LOL!. And thats all it took, also the orange light went off. Whatever they're training there staff to do with us customers, thanks sick and wrong, or maybe it was just him trying to make a quick buck. I got his name, and reported him, I'll see what comes out of it, and update. So please be careful when you call in for any issues. Unbelievable!!Ver másVer menos

Do not waste your time or money on this
I have used many different printers over the past 25 years. I found this to be a very difficult printer to install and set up. It would not connect to my computer and according to the error messages I received, it may have been too far from my router. So, I moved it closer to the router. Still would not set up. Asking for WPS pin number, which I eventually found and which did no good in set up.Just because it is fairly inexpensive does not mean it is a good buy. Do not waste your time.Ver másVer menos

Good Printer
I’ve gotten used to the function of the printer now and I’m happy with the purchase. I have not had any problems with it thus far. I’m not a fan of having everything operating on WiFi, but I will admit that the fact it operates via Wifi makes it easy and “convenient” to print from my iphone, ipad and/or my Mac.Ver másVer menos

Set up was easy, and its actually works! Ive been through so many printers lately, because they all seem to be junk. Prints everytime, unlike my last one.

Brother INKinvestment 1365 printer
I am quite frustrated with the Brother INKinvestment 1365 printer... As soon as Amazon delivered it, I opened the box and noticed that the Cyan ink was leaking inside the envelope. So I returned the Cyan ink to Amazon to be replaced. I decided to buy another Cyan ink on Amazon. When I received the delivery, I installed the Cyan ink and the other inks in the printer. However, the printer did not recognize the Cyan ink. I sent the Cyan back to Amazon and ordered another Cyan ink from Amazon. As soon as I received the new Cyan ink, I installed it in the printer. Unfortunately, the printer also did not recognize the Cyan ink again. Conclusion: THIS PRINTER HAS A FACTORY DEFECT; it has left me extremely frustrated, with the wasted time... I hope that AMAZON will send me a new printer of the same model WITHOUT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, as soon as possible... ASAP.Ver másVer menos
