Fantastic Value, Exceeded Expectations!
I’ve been using the NexiGo PJ40 Pro for a week now, and I’m genuinely impressed with how much quality and functionality you get for the price. The picture quality is excellent: sharp 1080p resolution with vibrant colors, and it looks fantastic even on a wall. Movies, sports, and gaming all look crisp and immersive.One of my favorite features is the built-in Google TV. Being able to stream Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and other apps directly without needing an external device makes everything so convenient. Setup was super easy, and the interface is smooth and responsive.For a built-in speaker system, the audio is better than expected: loud, clear, and perfectly fine for casual movie nights. Nothing can compare to external speakers, but it’s great that the internal sound is actually usable on its own.If you’re looking for a high-quality smart projector with great visuals, easy setup, and excellent value, the PJ40 Pro is an easy recommendation. Really great sound for a small projector. Rich colors. Bright bulb
I purchased this projector for a rooftop film night in Brooklyn, and, I have to say, it blew me away. The picture quality was so much better than I thought it would be at its price point – the colors were rich and vivid; the picture was sharp all the way across the wall, even when we were showing movies outside at night under the stars. All of our guests were blown away by how cinematic it felt like. The built-in speaker was also quite loud, and we did not need to use any additional speakers, which made setting up very simple.The most impressive part of this projector is how adaptable it can be. While I primarily use this as a projector for film nights, I am also using it for artistic projects (and other visual reference). The color reproduction has also been excellent for those purposes. It holds details well and creates a wonderful environment whether you are displaying films, images, or works of art.Setting this projector up was fast and easy. Connecting to devices is also easy and straight-forward. Overall, I think this projector is a fantastic deal at the price. Great projector with native Google TB functionality - best when paired with strong external speaker.
Great projector if you have a dark room. Brightness is always an issue with these portable projectors but if you have a dedicated dark space, or want something to really shine at night, this projector is incredibly competent for the price and specifications.I have a flat gray wall that I pointed this projector to and was very impressed with the self-focusing, fine tuning, and trapezoid-fixing options. Clear images, strong handling of fast moving scenes, and better than expected audio from the built in speaker.I connected an external speaker and that helps the audio become more theater-like. Highly recommend that addition.Every app I could think of to use as a TV are included in the Google TV platform native to this Nexigo projector.I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking for a sharp high definition projector to play at night or in a darker room. An excellent upgrade with useful features
I upgraded to the PJ40 Ultra from an earlier NexiGo model, drawn primarily by the native 1080p resolution, built-in streaming apps, and improved speaker. It delivered a clear step forward on every metric that mattered.Setup is guided and logical. WiFi connection and streaming account login are handled during first-time configuration. Two third-party consent prompts appear with no explanation of what the services actually collect, which is not alarming but is not transparent either. Auto keystone handled screen alignment cleanly once I stopped trying to do it manually.Outdoors on a 120-inch screen the image is noticeably brighter, sharper, and better contrasted than the previous model. Running Netflix over WiFi for a group of ten with the screen positioned 20 to 30 feet from the audience, the image held consistently edge to edge with zero streaming interruption across a full feature film. One guest compared it favorably to a theater screen.The 20W speaker is a legitimate upgrade from the prior generation but insufficient for outdoor group use. External Bluetooth paired without friction. Mac-formatted USB drives are not recognized, so local file playback requires reformatting or an alternative source. The AI image enhancement does not surface as a configurable option and appears to run passively. Extended indoor use generates real heat in a smaller room, though the fan stays quiet throughout.The built-in app ecosystem covers Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, a web browser, and supports additional services including Disney+ and Hulu. The interface is meaningfully more refined than the previous model. For the price, the PJ40 Ultra is a capable and well-designed outdoor projection solution.Ver másVer menos

High Value Projector
I don't review products often, but I honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed. The NexiGo PJ40 Pro is kind of a beast for the price. I’m using it for a home golf simulator and a theater setup, and it handles both way better than I expected.For the golf simulator, the clarity really matters, and the native 1080p image is super sharp. Ball flight, course details, distances — everything looks clean and easy to read. When I run 4K content through it, the image looks even more detailed. The AI image enhancement actually seems to make a difference too, especially with course textures and greens. It doesn’t look washed out or blurry like some projectors I’ve tried before.For movies and shows, it basically turns the room into a legit theater. Colors are vibrant without looking overdone, and the brightness is strong enough that I don’t have to sit in a cave to enjoy it. Obviously it looks best with the lights dimmed, but it’s totally usable without complete darkness. That’s huge for everyday use.The built-in Google TV is another big plus. I didn’t have to hook up extra devices — just logged in and started streaming. It feels smooth and easy, not clunky like some built-in systems. Switching from a round of simulated golf to Netflix is literally just a couple clicks.Setup was straightforward, and once I dialed in the keystone and focus, it’s been rock solid. For both a home golf sim and a theater setup, this projector just fits. It feels like I upgraded my whole space without dropping a crazy amount of money. NexiGo PJ40 with Google TV out performs my 55" Roku flatscreen television. Excellent image and sound
This is my second NexiGo projector. I upgraded to this model to get the built-in Google TV. This was my first time setting up and using a Google TV device. It was extremely easy to do. I scanned the QR code with my phone, and after walking through the setup, the projector was ready to use in about 10 minutes. This time will vary depending on how many applications you install during setup.The projector is very sleek-looking. with its matte grey body and glossy black front. The remote is very easy to use, and reminds me of the layout on my Roku remotes. The backlit buttons are a great feature. The brightness button is a nice addition to the remote. The fan does increase the brightness as you set the projector. There are several options for keystoning the image: Auto vertical, Four points, and Four sides. This makes it very easy to get the image straight and aligned on the wall. The built-in speakers really surprised me with how good they sound, abd how loud they can go. Much better quality than the speakers built into most flat-screen TVs.The picture quality was also improved over the previous model. The colors are vibrant, and it has very nice contrast between the dark and light areas. I primarily use this to watch television via Google TV, but the projector also has 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, ethernet, and a headphone jack on the back.I have been using this model for 2 weeks now, and I think the Google TV is a big improvement over the Roku devices I have had in the past. Great projector for flexible, TV-free setups
This is my second projector, and I’ve been genuinely impressed with this one. I’ve never loved the look of a traditional TV—especially in a bedroom. It often feels like wasted wall space. What I like about this projector is that it gives me all the benefits of a TV (or better, streaming) without committing the room to a permanent screen.Setup was extremely easy. It worked right out of the box, connected directly to my Google account, and immediately pulled up what I wanted to watch on YouTube. The autofocus is excellent—fast, accurate, and something you really appreciate day-to-day.The image quality is great, and the adjustable screen size is a big win. In my bedroom, I have it set up above the head of my bed, which basically turns the wall into a huge video surface. It’s perfect for watching a movie in bed or even folding laundry while something’s on in the background. It genuinely feels like a “video wall” rather than a small screen.The built-in audio is surprisingly good for an embedded speaker—totally fine if you’re nearby—but I also really like that it supports a standard 3.5mm audio cable. I plan to connect it to a pair of older computer speakers, which should be an easy upgrade.For me, this works well as a main media setup. It gives me flexibility: I can have streaming in a bedroom or guest room without dedicating space to a TV or mounting anything permanently. Not built to last more than a few months
So I complained about an issue and got a new one thinking my issue would be resolved but no. So my first one just growing black screen spot that took 75% of tge screen and slow as molasses from jump. My replacement is now getting a spot of green and black only after using it TWICE since receiving it, and im a little pissed given how expensive the machine is in general. Now I either gotta find a replacement or just do something different but my machine hangs suspended in the center of a living room and has been throughly cleaned after each use so I dont know what the issue is but this machine doesnt last; or im incredibly unlucky.Ver másVer menos

Perfecte projector
Perfect beeldt het is een hd projector maar is zo scherp dat het wel lijkt of het een 4k scherm is.google tv werkt ook uitstekend en chromecast.Ik heb er 1 gekocht maar toen ik de kwaliteit zag heb ik er gelijk nog een gekocht

Sehr gutes Bild, kann laut werden, kann aber nicht direkt von USB lesen
Ein Stern mehr nach einigen Tagen im Gebrauch:Filme über USB abspielen geht über die VLC App. Nicht perfekt, aber brauchbar.Geräuschpegel ist bei dunklem Raum und Einstellung "2" fast Null, bei klarem und scharfem Bild.Habe für unter 20€ einen sehr stabilen Ständer gekauft und damit die Probleme mit dem Projektionswinkel völlig gelöst.Würde zu 4,5/5 neigen (Ton ist halt etwas "blechig"), aber alles in allem hat er die 5 Sterne verdient, vor allem zum Aktionspreis.Originale Bewertung vom Tag 1:Für den Preis ein exzellenter Projektor mit echten 800 Lumen. Google TV integriert, somit können über eine vertraute Umgebung viele Streaming Dienste erreicht werden, darunter natürlich auch Netflix, Amazon und Crunchyroll.Warum dann nicht volle 5 Sterne? Das hat folgende Gründe:1. Der Geräuschpegel. Der Ventilator ist direkt an die Einstellung der Helligkeit gekoppelt: je heller, desto lauter. Und laut ist laut, keine Frage. Allerdings kann man die Helligkeit recht weit herunterregeln und trotzdem ein gutes Bild sehen. In einem dunklen Raum ist das überhaupt kein Problem, aber wenn man gegen Tageslicht zu kämpfen hat, muss man sich leider mit dem Ventilator das Vergnügen teilen.2. Google TV hat einen spürbaren Lag, insbesondere beim Aufruf von Menüs. Muss man sich dran gewöhnen - andere Oberflächen sind da sehr viel reaktiver.3. Für diesen Punkt hätte ich den Projektor fast zurückgeschickt: Obwohl 2 USB Ports für externe Festplatten oder USB Sticks vorhanden sind, werden diese nicht erkannt, wenn sie nicht vom Projektor mit Android File System formatiert wurden (FAT, FAT32, NTFS oder exFAT werden nicht erkannt). Danach kann man sie aber nicht mehr am PC verwenden. Wieso hier etwas nicht mehr funktioniert, das ich selbst mit einem 20 Jahre alten TV machen kann, verstehe ich nicht!Dieses Problem hat (bis eine neue Firmware vielleicht Abhilfe schafft) zwei Lösungen: Streaming über einen eigenen Server (Jellyfin, Kodi, Plex), was einen zweiten Stromverbraucher bedeutet, oder Installation eines Mediaplayers, der die angeschlossenen Datenträger dann doch lesen kann. VLC zum Beispiel, auch wenn die Oberfläche sehr unkomfortabel und langsam ist, schafft das. Andere Player Apps wohl auch, aber ausgerechnet das Basisgerät versagt da. Dafür gibt es keine Entschuldigung und eigentlich sollte es einen zweiten Stern Abzug geben - ich mache das nicht, weil wohl nicht jeder Benutzer seine Filme und Serien als MKV oder MP4 auf einem Datenträger zwischen PC und Projektor wandern läßt. Für mich persönlich also 3 von 5 Sternen, aber 4 von 5 wohl für die meisten anderen.Bitte auch darauf achten, daß der Projektor seine Nullinie im Zentrum des Bildes hat. Man sollte also möglichst einen Ort finden, an dem er 100-130 cm hoch stehen kann, ansonsten muss man ihn durch Unterlagen 15-20 Grad anwinkeln. Das wird in den Werbebildern inkorrekt dargestellt.Den Ton finde ich etwas blechern, aber man kann Sound und Bild über eine Menge Optionen an den eigenen Geschmack anpassen. Mit Spielen auf der PS5 kommt er gut zurecht - ein Eingangssignal von 2160p, 60 Hz und HDR wird klar (in 1080p) dargestellt. Auch 480p Briefmarkenvideos werden durch Upscaling noch ertragbar.Kaufen? Zum Frühlingspreis (15-20% Rabatt) ja, wenn man mit den Einschränkungen zurechtkommt.
