  The hype on HIKE footwear is real!

  I am shocked that Hike Footwear is all that they say they are! I have been having foot problems for 20 years. I have not found one pair of shoes that accommodate my feet comfortably. I did not want to order them from my phone on the instagram or Facebook sites that advertise them so I ordered from Amazon because I know I can always return them if they don't fit. Even though there's one site that says if you order Hike footwear anywhere else, you may get a fake, I took a chance. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I was afraid they would be too flat and cause a problem, but instead, I think they are solving my foot problems! I pray that they continue to feel this great, and I will order more soon if they do! And, yes, I feel my balance is improved as I can feel my feet instead of awkward thick soles. Very lightweight! Highly recommend a try.   These are fabulous shoes that support comfort, safety and balance

  The first pair I bought I had to return as they were too small. It's important to note that you need to buy one size larger than you normally wear. Oh how I LOVE these shoes. I am an active 73 year old, but I always worry about balance and falling. These shoes make me feel so secure and I'm able to more with a great deal of stability and confidence. I am a gerontologist and holistic health counselor and I know the importance of proprioception and the ability to be able to feel the ground. Since falls are the number one cause of death in the elderly, I didn't want that to ever happen to me. I love these so much, that i just got another pair for my yardwork and zoo care (I have 2 goats, 6 dogs, a giant tortoise, two rabbits and a n Amazon parrot and koi pond. I highly recommend these shoes...just don't give up if you get them and they are too small...get one size upVer másVer menos

  Interesting concept with a caveat worth knowing

  These shoes are well made, and the hands-off design is genuinely clever — easy to slip on, and the ultra-light construction makes them comfortable right out of the box. The thin sole gives you that barefoot feel the brand is going for, and they look casual and neat for everyday wear. That said, after walking in them for a stretch, I developed some back pain, which I attributed to the minimal sole and lack of arch support. I reached out to customer service, who were responsive and helpful — they recommended adding insoles, which did in fact somewhat take care of the problem. My only reservation is that adding insoles to a barefoot shoe feels like it works against the whole concept. If you are already accustomed to barefoot style footwear or have a neutral gait, you may have no issue at all. But if you are transitioning from a more supportive shoe, go in knowing there may be an adjustment period — or a trip to find a good insole.Ver másVer menos

  Love these shoes.

  I am very happy with these barefoot shoes...I have bought all of the popular sneakers, usually very expensive..but these top those for walking around in and around the house. I forget i have them on. The main thing is they are wide and the area across the front of the foot that is the widest is very soft, especially if you have a bunion, it can push out with no problem. The heel is very supportive, in fact when I first got them i didnt touch the laces, and i was able to step right into them because the heel didnt crush!..And as far as more balance, yes I have more balance in these. These are a winner, and I will be buying a second pair. I bought 1/2 size larger, they are perfect. I can wear thin socks with them, if I wear thick socks I may need a size bigger. But wearing them w/o socks is also very comfortable.Ver másVer menos

  Barefoot feel enhances stability.

  Be sure to order one size larger.Feels like you are almost barefoot for two reasons. First, these shoes breath. My feet sweat in other shoes, but not these. Second you have a feel for the ground under you like I have experienced in no other shoe.Most modern shoes have a raised heel which makes it hard for me to stand up straight. I find that when I am leaning forward, like leaning over the sink to wash my hands, I experience back pain. These shoes make it easier to stand up straight, so I have less back pain.Excellent for indoors and paved surfaces. Haven't tried these hiking in the woods.Also, for me, these are not easy to step in or slip on . This may change over time. Once my foot is in the shoe, they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever had.Ver másVer menos

  Wonderful except they do not breathe

  4.5 stars. These are the most comfortable shoes of this type that I've ever had. I can easily forget I'm wearing them, I like that I can adjust the laces to slip them on and off, and since I'm nearly 70, I find they do help with balance and that feeling of stability. I develop back problems with any amount of heel, so these have helped me a lot. The only drawback for me is that they do not breathe! They get uncomfortably hot after several hours of wear. I'll have to look for the sandal version, I guess. But for cooler weather these are great.Ver másVer menos

  short fit

  I received the shoes and upon opening two things I need to mention is the smell when I opened plastic bag. It was really toxic smelling which did go away and I hope it's not a toxic chemical, and I ordered an 8-81/2 and tag read 8. I had read that to size up, some reviews read perfect fit. So thats why I chose the size. My big toe is right at edge no room for socks so I am wearing them sockless. Shoelaces won't stay tied and when walking on treadmil thats a no. Double knotted and tried putting inside shoe which is uncomfortable. The above is the cons now I can say the pro.I cant wear them at a fast pace on treadmil rubs my toes but I have been wearing around house and I have noticed the past few days that my balance is better. I love my hokas but after wearing hf I can say my knees aren't as painful and I don't feel pitched forward when I walk.I just reordered in a size 9 I'm willing to try again and I am a sock wearing person because I don't like wearing sweaty shoes which causes blisters and calluses. I am flat footed with bunions so I am on a mission to find a shoe that had the wide toe box and will help in balance and relieve some of pain from knees caused by standing in dress heels for years and later on working in boots in a job merchandising products in stores. I ordered from the website directly this time they had a better offer and I'm trying a different style.Ver másVer menos

  Good shoes

  I like these shoes, they are very light weight and very comfortable. I can feel the surface under my feet . I’m 90 and worried about falling that’s why I ordered these shoes . It took awhile for them to get here. Amazon does not have them in their warehouse. My usual size is 9, I ordered these shoes closest I could get which was 91/2 still they were a little short in the toe , but I think It won’t bother me too much, so I am not sending them back. I just think I’ll stick to ordering from things Amazon has in stock!!! Get them quicker, and don’t send your name and address everywhere.Ver másVer menos
