Solid cedar wood construction
This is a great little platform feeder that you can easily hang from a hook. It’s exceptionally well made out of genuine cedar and the four plastic coated wire hangers join to the inside of the wooden frame with very solid screws. The hard plastic bottom is perforated and it can easily be pulled out and cleaned.I’ve had one of these for about two years and all birds love it. Squirrels climb up into it every so often but all of the components are solid enough to survive the intrusion. Just a wonderful thing.Ver másVer menos

EDIT: well, what better review can I share... it survived a bear incident! LOL Seriously, I've seen yearlings climb the post and sit on top to grab the feeders, so all they had to do is lean over and eat off of this like a plate -- a bear buffet. Anyhoo, the birds love this feeder, and ordering a second one since I have to re-do the hooks and tube feeders anyway. I still HIGHLY recommend this feeder even if you're not wanting to please the local bruins. Oh, and the metal red barn feeders have survived three attacks, so I also highly recommend those if you can find them! The bears came early this year; otherwise, we pull the feeders at night. It's not good to have bears or most wildlife used to easy food so close to property.Our birds are spoiled with my homemade suet, and it's a pain to shape them into blocks for normal bird feeders so I like to spoon out clumps onto a tray feeder instead. This is a GREAT feeder!! Our old one lasted at least five years but finally fell apart, and I'm glad to find this one because it's larger and the insert seems sturdier. It'll also be easy to hose off the insert, wash under hot water or use a scrub bruch when it clogs. Our woodpeckers, blue jays, cardinals and even the itty bitty wrens and finches will love it!Ver másVer menos

A Buffet for Birds
If you have a location free from squirrels such as a balcony, this is a fantastic feeder. It is large enough to welcome several species at a time. I am delighted to watch them hover around and jockey for position. It is easy fill and has a mesh liner that allows rain to drain out.Ver másVer menos

CARDINALS, BLUEJAYS,MORNING DOVES, SMALL BIRDS..AND SQUIRRELS LOVE IT@
Sorry, I wouldn't ever stop my 3 squirrels from sharing but this is the right height, width, the bottom allows drainage from rain, they love it! I had a glass feeder all summer but this was the replacement. Now, we get to see so many birds and they all have their own routines. Squirrels love it too and they all share. I never knew female cardinals were a different color until I saw them in this new feeder. Not much of a binocular bord watchers but LOVE watching the birds that love this feeder! But, of course I spread the squirrel and bird feed on the grass too. highly recommend. Only reason 4 stars is the metal mesh kind of goes a teeny bit up and down like a see-saw but I fixed it. Great flat feeder
I purchased this flat feeder to feed my blue jays larger seed. It has held up exceptionally well and is very easy to clean. It’s sturdy and well built. Not much more to say….its a bird feeder.

Wonderful Bird Feeder that Birds Love!
This is a wonderful yet simple bird feeder. I love it, but it is much more important to know that the birds love it even more. The bigger birds: jays, doves, even cardinals look it. This morning I looked out my window and 4 Painted buntings were all sitting around the edge of tray feasting! This really is a bird attaching magnet! Looks nice, not a great design
I thought it was a nice design, but Squirrels ATE the black plastic base within weeks of purchase. It will also blow out easily if empty on a windy day should slide in through a slot instead of just laying on top of the support slats. That would keep it in the feeder, and make it harder for squirrels to get at the corners to pull it out.Ver másVer menos

Very pleased..does the job very well
Delighted with this product. It took a week but the Collared Doves and Robins and other small Birds are now using it and can eat away from the Rock Dove Pigeons who were taking over everything. Thank you. Well made and sturdy. Good price.

Convient à mes attentes
Les mangeoires conviennent bien à mon support de jardin. Les oiseaux sont très heureux. Tout va bien après deux semaines d’utilisation. Nous verrons avec le temps.

Rots very easily
The wood seems to be good quality, but I do not recommend getting it if you live in a high humidity/rainy climate. Fungi starts growing after a few days of rain and becomes a health hazard for the birds, so I had to take them down for cleaning and the wood was rotting away. I applied some wood finish to attempt preventing this from happening again but I guess it was too late. Eventually I threw it away because it became annoying having to constantly remove the mold and I was concerned for the birds, I do not think it even lasted a year.Ver másVer menos
