  An absolute pleasure

My first fountain pen. It's an absolute pleasure to write with. Easy to fill an easy to clean.

  My Wife Loves this Pen.

My wife loves demonstrator fountain pens. I bought this for her and she loves it! She's happy, I'm happy. It's a great performer at an amazingly affordable price.

Great pen, but not so great knob.

Awesome pen! I got the stub nib, it's a bit hard to get the angle right, but it writes smoothly. Most everything on the pen is well thought out. It is stunning to look at, and writes stunning as well. The only room for improvement lies in the knob. The pen posts by sitting on the knob. Not a great post at all considering the weak knob and the need for the knob to be open(ed) while writing. The knob is weak because it's acrylic/ plastic and threads onto metal (with very sharp threads). If a metal threaded insert were to be added inside the knob, then the pen would be 5 stars without a doubt and one of the best pens ever made. Posting will also no longer be a concern since the knob won't be weak. As it currently is, it is almost perfection. I am a big fan of the aesthetics of the sapphire pen, and I hope to see an unoriginal plus plus in the future with the much needed knob upgraded. Should you get this pen as it currently is, put some silicone grease on the knob's threads. I found it to make a world of difference.Ver másVer menos

  Poor ink flow

Pen hass good feel but the ink flow is horrible and I used a good Pilot Kon Peki ink that normally flows good. The pen skips as the ink feed is sporadic, even with opening the piston fully. If you set the pen down for a couple of days open up the feed it will take you several minutes of scribbling before the pen starts writing and then it skips and lays out irregular lines. Better pens on the market at lower pricing.Ver másVer menos

  Beautiful Pen

Nib slit was non-existent but the manufacturer is shipping me a replacement nib. Their customer service was very quick. Very stellar service. The pen is beautiful and plan on ordering a few more.

Amazing right out of the box!!!

First, the pen is beautiful, and the clear barrel really shows off your favorite ink! The medium nib on this pen needed ZERO tuning! Like every new pen, I flushed with cool water to remove any manufacturing debris, oils, etc. Immediately inked it up afterwards, expecting to at least give it a few swipes across some micro mesh, but NO! I was surprised at how smooth this nib was. If you enjoy feedback, you’ll need to rough up the nib a bit on some 4 or 6 thousand grit. The build quality is great, but one concern I have for the longevity is the blind cap is plastic threading onto metal threads. A non issue if you are careful, but can become a real problem if you get sloppy and strip it out. As a vacuum filler, you would only lose the ability to block off the nib/feed with the internal valve since you wouldn’t be able to screw it down tight to seal it off. That’s bad when traveling by air, which being able to close off the feed to keep it from “burping” is the advantage of a vacuum filler vs piston filler to begin with.Great pen, great value, and an exceptionally smooth nib. The section DOES unscrew from the barrel for easy cleaning. Highly recommend this pen!! 5 stars for me!!Ver másVer menos

  Really beautiful pen

Definitely a great writing pen, its beyond sparkly and i love the small details of the pen, like the little narwhal stamped on the nib ❤️I bought in a medium and it was a very glassy/buttery smooth writer.Definitely considering going back for more colours in the future.Ver másVer menos
