  This JBL waterproof speaker arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. The box was sealed, and everything was neatly packed inside. The charging cable and instructions were included.Setup was quick. Pairing with my phone took only a minute, and the Bluetooth connection has been stable. The buttons are easy to find and respond well.The speaker feels solid and well made. It has a durable exterior with a textured finish that provides a good grip. The compact size and handle make it easy to carry or toss into a backpack.Sound quality is impressive for the size. Voices are clear, and music has good balance with more bass than I expected.   Honest review of the JBL Charge 6 portable bluetooth speaker

  At almost 60 years old, I’ve experienced just about every kind of audio system imaginable — component stereo systems, high-end car audio setups, premium headphones, earbuds, home theater systems, and portable speakers from many of the biggest brands. Because of that, it takes quite a bit to genuinely impress me when it comes to sound quality.The JBL Charge 6 absolutely impressed me.What JBL accomplished with this speaker is remarkable. The sound is incredibly powerful considering such a small footprint. This thing is compact enough to fit easily into almost any backpack, yet it produces bold, room-filling sound that feels much larger than the speaker itself.The audio quality is excellent. The highs are crystal clear, vocals sound clean and detailed, and the bass is deep, punchy, and robust without sounding muddy or distorted. Even at higher volumes, the sound remains balanced and enjoyable. The volume range is outstanding — this speaker gets surprisingly loud while still maintaining clarity.I’ve owned expensive audio equipment over the years, and honestly, the sound coming from this little speaker is shocking for its size.   Absolutely Incredible Speaker

  This JBL Charge 6 is absolutely incredible. The sound is rich and powerful with deep bass and clear highs that really fill a room or outdoor space. It’s the perfect size, big enough for great audio but still compact and light weight so easy to throw in a bag and go. Everything about it feels premium, from the build quality to the battery life (up to 28 hours is legit). I love adding it to my growing JBL collection, and the Auracast feature is fantastic for connecting it with my other speakers to create an even bigger sound when we have people over or are outside. For the price, it’s an amazing value. It’s durable, waterproof, and just works flawlessly.   Better than Sony ULT field three!

  I dig deep base and this delivers. I ordered a Sony field three and this Charge 6 to compare them. The Sony came defective - it had a flashing yellow light and refused to accept charging. Eager to run my test, I then went to Best Buy and got an another Sony and it worked fine so I could compare the two. I also took the opportunity at Best Buy to compare all the speakers in this size class that they had on display. The JBL is definitely better at delivering deep throbbing bass when you use the EQ in the app and raise the bass all the way up. Then you have to use a second EQ on the source side which in my case is the EQ in the Spotify app. Raising the base in Spotify along with the maxed out EQ base in the JBL results in great base -equivalent to the ULT mode on the Sony. But where the JBL outperforms is when you really crank up the volume it will give you great base without distortion whereas with the Sony turning up the volume in ULT mode will result in a lot of clipping on the base which is unlistenable. I compared the two over the course of several days and the JBL was the clear winner. Again the trick is to pre-EQ it for maximum base and then use the JBL app to set the in unit EQ to maximum base. I am a professional motion picture editor and have used JBL studio monitors for over 36 years, so when it comes to critical assessment of audio performance I know a thing or two! This little charge six continually amazes me with the depth of sound that comes out of such a tiny unit. Again, it is definitely better than the ULT field three from Sony. I did a lot of research before ordering these products for comparison and it is interesting that a lot of reviewers and AI results indicated that the Sony had better base, but I think what they are failing to realize is that when you want loud volume with no distorted base, the JBL is much better and when you set your pre-EQ and unit EQ for more base, it is equivalent and I think a bit better than the Sony at moderate volumes. Essentially using the JBL‘s internal EQ is like configuring your own custom ULT button on the Sony. Then my own personal preference is to pre-queue it in Spotify with even more base and it’s great! With no distortion! I’ve attached a couple of pictures that show my EQ settings. The algorithm that JBL is using to manage clipping at loud volumes is the best I’ve ever seen. I can turn the volume up to painful levels and it will not distort. This little thing performs so well that every day I can’t wait to grab it and go for a walk with my tunes blasting and it’s probably keeping me safe from the mountain lions and bears! Another plus for this speaker is that there is a YouTube video showing how to open it up and replace the battery, the process is very easy. However it appears we have to wait a while for replacement batteries to become available. Also, customer service is top-notch. I called at 8 o’clock on a Sunday morning because I got stuck doing the online registration process and got a very helpful person right away, they were in the Philippines or India I think. He acknowledged there was a bug and very patiently typed in all my information And then sent me a personal email with all of the confirming data. Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! - Footnote - yes I know how to spell bass, especially since I’m a musician, but obviously Siri’s dictation does not.

  Great speaker. Pumps nicely for the size and it’s light. Smooth deep bass, clear sound and long battery life. It pairs quickly and has a party mode to connect more JBL’s. Don’t expect it to blow the house down. It’s small, but very punchy. I bought a refurbished one at first that didn’t work out. No bass at higher volume, only had bass at low volume. After looking into it, I believe a firmware update caused the bass to drop out when increasing the volume. Don’t update the firmware. It sounds amazing out of the box. If you use the JBL app, you can customize the EQ. I bought the blue one. It’s very nice.Ver másVer menos

  JBL Charge 6 is pretty alright.

  I decided to upgrade from the JBL Charge 5 to the new JBL Charge 6.The most major thing I've noticed so far, is that the Charge 6 has significantly less battery life than the Charge 5. This may be due to the "AI sound boosting" or whatever, I'm not sure, but I was fairly disappointed by that. It functions well as a powerbank - I was able to charge my phone during 2 layover plane trips and still have battery left in it after the flights were over, so it does have a GREAT amount of battery life, just seemingly not as much as the Charge 5.Also, the charging port of the Charge 6 does NOT have a built-in cover, unlike the Charge 5, which I think is a mistake considering it's advertised as waterproof. I'll have to get a type-c port plug.The sound quality seems about as good as the Charge 5, I don't notice any major differences in that, the Charge 5 may be a little louder at the cost of audio quality. The Charge 6 doesn't have raised, tactile buttons like the Charge 5 does, which can be confusing when blindly reaching for the buttons, but it's not that big of a deal.I will say that it does seem more sturdy than the Charge 5, it feels more rugged, and the carrying handle/strap clips are very handy. It is pretty heavy, heavier than the Charge 5, but I don't mind it since there's a nice strap to carry it with.The connection via bluetooth is held very well. Audio quality is good, connection is stable. There were no cords included in the package, which is fine because, well, who doesn't have a Type-C charging cable these days.Overall, I would buy it again, but maybe wait until it's on sale.Ver másVer menos

  I've been using the JBL Charge 6 for a while now, and overall I'm very impressed. The sound quality is excellent, with clear vocals, strong bass, and enough volume to easily fill a room or outdoor space. The battery life is one of its biggest strengths I can use it for hours without worrying about charging it.The build quality feels solid and durable, and the waterproof design gives me peace of mind when using it at the beach, by the pool, or during outdoor activities.
