So easy a caveman can do it
Literally 2 minutes after receiving this package I now have bluetooth on my desktop computer.I plugged it in one of the rear usb ports and it basically installed itself, paired it to my phone and now I can easily transfer files between the phone and the computer. I'm running WIN 10 so it already had the compatible drivers it needed.It transfers files faster than on my laptop with built it BT so latency is reduced.It is small, with an antenna that is capable of reaching further than most bluetooth devices.It seems to be built pretty tough considering it is a dongle. Just how rough can one get with a usb device?I'm so happy that making my my desktop bluetooth capable was so easy and inexpensive.Ver másVer menos

works fine, no driver issues, does extend range enough to matter
Works automagically under linux (PopOS in this case), better range than the thumbnail-sized adapter I was using. Using the teeny adapter my earbuds would cut out if I went to another room w/o direct LoS. With this adapter I get a perfect connection anywhere in a 2100sf house. Still not enough range to cover the whole yard, sadly, but definitely better. I was skeptical when shopping as a *lot* of these kind of things are bogus (a big "antenna" that's not even electrically connected, just plastic, for looks to fool buyers, and a standard tiny mini-pcb adapter)...but this one delivers. I didn't take it apart, but the performance difference is very obvious.Addendum: to get the best results, I put a simple metal plate (initially just aluminum foil, but later an old gray gov-issue bookend that was literally from the Apollo program, lol) behind the antenna; that greatly increases the signal strength in front of the plate (normal to the surface of the plate..behind the plate signal is basically gone), since the pc was at one end of my desired coverage area.That's an old antenna design trick; it effectively doubles the size of the antenna but only opposite the plate. Easy to use, perfect for my work
My PC didn't have Bluetooth when it was built, but this works great to fix that! I use it with my Silhouette Cameo 3. The connection is fantastic, and this was the best deal. You just plug it into a USB and it works.

The bluetooth range is amazing - exactly what I was looking for
I am SO happy with this transceiver! I bought it because my Dell Laptop's built-in bluetooth was having trouble getting enough signal when I walked out of the room (just a regular sized home office). I would start getting drop-outs even just 15-20 feet away, with almost line-of sight (the corner of a doorway might just barely be in the way). After installing this TP-Link Bluetooth transceiver, I can walk anywhere inside my home without any dropouts at all. In fact, I was able to walk all the way around the OUTSIDE of my house, and I only had one small and brief drop-out at the very furthest corner of the outside of the house. Installing the driver was no problem - even though I have Win 11 I went ahead and downloaded the official driver from TP Link download site and it installed no problem. The instruction manual says to disable all existing bluetooth devices, but you may only need to disable the existing Wireless Bluetooth controller. You do need to reconnect your bluetooth devices, which may end up creating a second copy of the device, but that should be ok since you will likely keep the existing controller device disabled. The manual also says that it should be plugged into the computer "directly" but after installing and testing my devices, I switched the transceiver to a bluetooth hub and it worked fine. So now it's hidden away and I have incredible range! Best purchase I've made in a long time.Ver másVer menos

Works good once it's correctly configured
Plug and play, almost. Luckily my work PC allowed it do auto load the driver. However it might be a bit of guesswork to configure the correct audio source. I am using this with a Plantronic Focus headset and Teams. At first it would not connect me to audio correctly. I had to confirm my defaults in both Teams and Zoom to make sure they both were correct. Once that was solved, I like the extended range it gave me. No longer tied to within 10ft of my desk. I can roam around the house and even out on the front porch without my connection dropping.Ver másVer menos

Works Great!
I have a Bluetooth speaker that I wanted to use with an older PC that doesn't have Bluetooth (I know, old, lol). I first accidentally bought a wifi one (Doh), but then got this one. It was easy to set up (Windows recognized it, so I didn't have to install any software), it linked up fine, and it works Great!Ver másVer menos

Much Improved Range
My only real use for Bluetooth is with a headset. I was previously using the TP-Link UB500 "Nano sized" adapter which worked plug & play, and was fine when I was at my desk, but I couldn't go very far from it before having connection problems. This UB500 Plus has much better range that allows me to go to the kitchen for more coffee, or to the used coffee disposal center, while continuing to listen with a solid connection.The downside is I did have to install TP-Link's driver package. Device Manager in Windows 11 indicated it was working fine without that driver, but it refused to connect to my headset until I installed the driver from TP-Link's site. This made me debate between four stars and five, but unless I encounter other issues, having to install a driver isn't a reason to deduct a star.Ver másVer menos

Still plug-and-play under Linux. I purchased this for a project involving Bluetooth connections to a radio, but it turns out the device has a Bluetooth UUID whitelist and the manufacturer basically individually whitelists Bluetooth OUIs for use as "valid headsets". This adapter cannot change its own OUI/UUID. This means that this adapter will not work for my project, but the audio quality is still good if you don't need that.Ver másVer menos

Excelent Choice for those who wants to update their two year old PC
Everything is connected so far with the TP-Link USB Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter Long Range Receiver including my Anker Headphone and Playstation 4&5 Controller without any issue.

Parfait pour le PS VR2 sur PC
J'ai acheté cet adaptateur pour connecter mon ensemble PlayStation VR2 sur mon ordinateur.Même si j'ai une carte mère de bonne qualité, le Bluetooth intégré créait des bogues et des coupures avec les manettes. Cet adaptateur TP-Link est venu corriger le problème à 100 %.L'installation est simple, mais il est très important de bien suivre les étapes indiquées.Le Bluetooth est maintenant super stable avec une bonne portée. De plus, la clé est tellement petite qu'elle se camoufle très bien dans le décor. Je recommande sans hésiter !Ver másVer menos

Excelente receptor Bluetooth
Estuve meses intentando de todo para que el Bluetooth de mi PC recién armada funcionara y nada solucionó mi problema. Las antenas Wifi de mi motherboard funcionan perfectamente pero la función de BT nunca jaló por más que la configuré con Windows 11, hasta que conseguí este dispositivo.Solo se conecta y funciona al instante, no necesitas hacer más, ni descargar/instalar otra cosa. Pero es muy importante que antes de conectarlo primero desactives el Bluetooth que viene de fábrica en tu PC (en Windows, busca "Administrador de Dispositivos" y ahí seleccionas la opción de deshabilitar).En el caso de que previamente ya tuvieras emparejado algún dispositivo Bluetooth (controles de Xbox/PS, audífonos, mouse, etc) primero elimínalos de la PC, conectas el receptor y ahora sí los vuelves a emparejar para que no te de errores.Si se te olvidó hacer esto antes de conectar el receptor, no pasa nada:•Desactiva el BT del receptor en "Administrador de dispositivos" (no es necesario que lo desconectes).•Reactiva el BT de tu PC para desemparejar los dispositivos que tengas, al final lo desactivas.•Vuelves a activar el BT de tu receptor y ya puedes usarlo con normalidad.Usar controles de Xbox, Playstation, audífonos Bluetooth o hardware inalámbrico, etc, todo eso que suena tan básico por fin lo puedo hacer gracias a este receptor.Ver másVer menos
