Works great for keeping the doors shut...

So far so great. We do not have kids and my wife is not trying to trip me up - I think - rather, we got this 2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive to keep the doors from popping open. And it works!Apartment living is great, but the appliances are not always impressive and in our case, the fridge/freezer doors do not stay shut. The fuller the unit gets, the more it pops. As my wife grew increasingly frustrated I came up with the idea of child-safety locks. Why not at least try? This 2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive is perfect for us and the idea panned out. Putting the locks on was easy, especially considering how close the unit sits to the wall. I hadn't used it yet when she was gone one day and I needed to get in... having never had such things before, it took a mere 2 1/2 tries to get it - not being able to see I kept loosing one button when I had the other. Push, it pops open and away and you can get in. Closing is the reverse, also easy, and once done, don't need to "look" again. The adhesive sticks great and we have little worry about it not being strong enough.*** While we got this 2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive for two middle aged adults keeping doors closed, and while we do not have kids, we both agree this 2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive would work great with keeping kids out. That said, it's distance between the buttons, motor skills to push two, distanced buttons, and height that are the obstacles. Again, we both feel like a well placed Child Proof Fridge Lock would keep little hands unsuccessful in opening doors.Overall it's a great idea - for a range of reasons people have to use one - and the 2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive is a great find for anyone wishing such protection. It's made of good materials, strong and well constructed, easy to install, easy to use, and does the job. We're pleased and would get more.PHOTOS:** Easy to place, adhere, and overall, set up for use. Ours goes on the fridge and freezer - to keep them closed** It's substantial in size - bigger than I'd thought - solid, well built with strong materials** Once the buttons are pushed, the "lock flap" comes out - it too is large and strong, meaning it should last** Two buttons to squeeze - only took me a couple of tries to find them in a blind spot and coordinate the movements, but it was easy - the same in reverseVer más

Simple solution for a big problem!

Does your freezer pop open when you close the fridge door a little too hard? If so - this is your new best friend! Simple and cheap solution to what could be a very expensive problem! Fit our Midea fridge perfectly and was super easy to install. Works like a charm and as a double bonus, it keeps the rugrats from opening the freezer since it’s a little difficult for small fingers to operate. Great product!Ver más

These are great!

If you’ve ever had issues with keeping your refrigerator securely shut, especially in a garage or an area that isn’t frequently monitored, this **2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive** is an absolute lifesaver. These locks are not only incredibly effective at keeping fridges closed, but they also provide a hassle-free installation and solid peace of mind. Here’s a breakdown of why these locks are outstanding for everyday use, particularly for garage fridges that are often unattended.### **Installation: Fast, Simple, and Tool-Free**One of the best features of this product is how simple the installation is. The adhesive is strong and reliable, and the best part is that **no tools are required**. Just peel off the backing and stick the locks in place. The adhesive is designed to bond quickly, making installation a breeze. You don’t have to worry about drilling holes or damaging the surface of your fridge. This feature makes it ideal for anyone, even those who aren’t particularly handy. And for a garage fridge, where you're often dealing with heavier doors or surfaces that need reinforcement, these locks hold up beautifully.### **Performance: Perfect for High Traffic and Unattended Fridges**What really sets this product apart is how well it performs in real-world situations. In my case, I installed these on a standard fridge in my garage, a location that often goes unattended for extended periods of time. If you’re like me and you rely on your garage fridge to stay shut—whether to prevent spoilage or keep curious pets (or even kids) out—these locks do their job flawlessly. The latch mechanism ensures that once the door is shut, it stays shut. There’s no accidental opening due to door seals losing grip or pressure from the contents inside. The adhesive, even after several weeks, has shown no signs of wear or loosening, meaning the lock remains as effective as the day I installed it.### **Child, Pet, and Even Weather Proof**These locks are specifically designed to keep children, pets, and even pesky cats or dogs from gaining access to your fridge. If you have young children or curious pets, these locks are an essential safety feature. In particular, the fridge in my garage has been a target for our overly curious cat, who somehow found a way to nudge the door open. But since installing the lock, there have been no more surprises or spoiled food from an accidentally opened fridge. Also, garages are subject to a range of temperatures, and I'm happy to report that the adhesive on these locks holds up extremely well, even in fluctuating conditions. Whether it’s freezing cold or swelteringly hot, the locks have stayed secure.### **Aesthetics and Practicality: Discreet but Highly Effective**Visually, these locks are sleek and minimalistic. They don’t detract from the look of your fridge, whether it’s a stainless steel unit or an older model. The design is unobtrusive, so it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb, which I appreciate. The locking mechanism is simple to operate for adults, but difficult for children and pets to tamper with. What’s also great is the compact design. Even though it’s robust and strong, it doesn’t take up too much space or interfere with the regular use of the fridge. You can unlock and relock it in seconds without any hassle.### **Why Every Garage Fridge Needs This**If you have a fridge in a high-traffic area like a garage, where it’s easy for the door to be left ajar or tampered with by pets or children, this product is a must-have. Keeping the door securely locked is critical, not only for keeping your food fresh but also for safety reasons—whether it’s to prevent young children from gaining access to dangerous items inside or to avoid the annoying situation of returning to a spoiled fridge because it didn’t close all the way.The fact that it works so well for unattended fridges, or ones in less frequently accessed areas, makes it especially useful. In a busy household, you might not always be checking the garage fridge, but with this lock, you can rest assured that it stays sealed tight.### **Final Verdict: An Outstanding Product for Peace of Mind**The **2-Pack Child Proof Fridge Lock with Adhesive** is an outstanding product for anyone who needs to keep their refrigerator securely closed. Whether you’re using it for childproofing, to keep pets out, or simply to ensure that your garage fridge stays tightly shut, this product is incredibly effective. The installation is effortless, the lock is strong and durable, and the design is unobtrusive but functional.**Pros:**- Easy, tool-free installation with strong adhesive- Perfect for unattended fridges, especially in garages- Keeps pets, children, and curious hands out- Weather-resistant and durable adhesive- Sleek and unobtrusive design**Cons:**- None that I can find—it performs exactly as promised! If you're looking for a simple yet reliable solution to keep your fridge secure, especially in less frequently monitored areas like a garage, these locks are an outstanding choice.

Refrigerator magnet

Works really well I used it on my little mini refrigerator at camp that I have on the porch for my drinks. I had a big raccoon breaking into my refrigerator and he's too stupid to figure out how to open this so it did good job for me I would highly recommend

Saves energy keeps weak magnet Refrigerator and Freezer doors closed. Great design and function.

Great product, our extra refrigerator freezer door would pop open if the lower refrigerator door was shut too hard which would result in items in freezer section melting and the refrigerator to run needlessly. We had installed a common child lock device which we had to manipulate with two hands to lock each time. This new lock is perfect and we installed on the upper freezer door which keeps it from accidentally popping open and is easy to operate with one hand. Installation was super quick and easy. Nice as you hear an audible click to assure the door is closed and secured. There are two devices which leaves one as a back up.Ver más

Should have done this long ago

This works perfectly. I have a converted wine cooler I use for sodas. The problem is the door never shut right and at times it would stay open just a crack. When that happened it would cause the fridge to make too much water that would overflow the catch basin and leak all over the floor. It had a built in lock so I made everyone use the lock to hold the door shut. Well it's a 5 side key and it stripped. I replaced it but now the lock stripped. Really poor design as the key only has about 1/8 inch contact. So i needed away to hold the door closed and I saw this. This is easy to use no cable or nothing that takes time. Grab it with your finger and open the door, shut the door and it locks right back up. Nothing to say but perfect! Easy to use and install. I wished I never replaced the keys to this thing and just got this. Same price and it works. Great product.Ver más

10/10

This lock is great - but likely not for the same reason you’re looking for it. You see, this is the only lock, that keeps out our orange tabby, Cowboy. He has previously been able to rip the adhesive off of several different types of locks, open the fridge and gorge himself on anything and everything inside. We used to have to push our kitchen island up against the fridge when we left the house for ANY period of time (mere seconds to full work shifts - as soon as he heard the door lock he was in there). This lock has defeated him, mostly because it locks as soon as the fridge closes (unless you set it otherwise) and my fiancée and I don’t have to actively remember to lock the fridge. So yeah, if this lock can keep out my 7.5kg, gluttonous, garfieldian, orange terror, I’m sure it’ll keep out your toddler, or whatever else you’re hoping for.Ver más
