Excellent Heater for Small Aquariums
Compact, easy to install, and fit nicely in smaller tanks without taking up much space. Most importantly, they maintain stable temperatures and have been completely reliable. I use them in tanks housing livebearers and fry, so consistent heating is important, and these heaters have performed perfectly.My only minor complaint is the suction cup design. I wish the suction cup was permanently attached to the black plastic clip because it can occasionally disconnect when I'm moving plants around or cleaning the tank. It's not a major issue and only takes a second to reconnect, but it would be nice if it were a little more secure.Overall, after owning three of these heaters and having a great experience with all of them, I can confidently recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable and dependable heater for a small aquarium.Ver másVer menos

Difference between life and death for a batta
My new batta fish was hiding after I got him, apparently his water was too cold and it was making him upset. I bought this, put it in and it started warming up the water within a few mins. He became more active and came out of hiding.... Good for a 5 gal tank, good price, great results!Ver másVer menos

Great Little Heater
This is a great little heater for my Betta tank. It warms the water to a nice 78 degrees. I have been measuring it for the last 2 weeks, and it comes out at 78 each time. My fish loves it and is much happier than when there was no heater.

Works, but no instructions is a problem
It does what it’s supposed to do and seemed to keep the water where it needed to be, so I can’t really complain too much about the basic performance. Even though it’s pretty much summer, my tank water was still sitting around 77 to 78 degrees, and betta fish usually like it closer to 80 to 82. After about 2 days fully submerged, this little heater did help bring the temp up.It’s a simple little heater overall, but I wouldn’t rely too much on the included sticker thermometer. I’d recommend using an actual thermometer that sits inside the tank instead of just slapping a sticker on the outside.My biggest issue is that it came with no paperwork at all. No placement instructions, no depth guidance, nothing about how close or far it should be from the filter, and no real safety or setup info. For something that sits in a fish tank and controls heat, that’s kind of concerning. It works, but the lack of transparency makes it feel a little too generic and careless.Decent heater overall, but proper instructions should have been included. Especially if your setup is something like a 2 gallon tank with one betta fish and you’re a newer owner who doesn’t have a ton of time to research every little detail.Ver másVer menos

Saved outdoor pond from freezing
It’s small and no frills, enough for my small outdoor pond. We just had a few days of snow and below zero temperatures, it stopped water from freezing over. It has no controls and may not be for an indoor tank, as it may boil the water! but is what I needed so that the ceramic doesn’t crack. The little fishes loved being around it!Ver másVer menos

My betta loves to be near it!
Works well even in a fish bowl that is under a gallon, sticks well to the surface so I would suggest placing where you expect to keep it, and don’t do like I did and forget to stick the thermometer on before putting water in the bowl, now my thermometer doesn’t stick I had to buy a new one 😒 my betta loves it!!!! He swims near and around it often, I guess he loves the heat❤️Ver másVer menos

Unstable Temps, Got too Hot!
I’ve had this heater for about two months now. I’m in some social media groups about Betta fish, and everyone says not to buy a preset heater. But I had already bought this, and I thought they were being fanatical.At first, it was keeping temp around 77 degrees and I was worried that wasn’t quite warm enough for my betta. But eventually it started reading 78-79 degrees. Perfect, I thought. I should clarify that I was usually a non-contact infrared temperature reader, one of those point and click ones, not the strip thermometer. So I knew my readings were accurate.For the past two weeks or so, my betta has seemed droopy and kind of sluggish. Checked my water parameters, did partial water changes, and got water parameters back on track within several days. Still the guy looks sluggish Then it occurred to me to check the water temp. With the stick on thermometer, you can’t even see the temp unless you hold a flashlight up to it.So like I said, I used my much more accurate no touch infrared thermometer. I pointed and clicked and I got a reading of 83 degrees! I’ll be honest, I trusted in the automatic control of this heater, and haven’t been checking the temps. So my betta has gone from 77 degree water to 83 degree water in the course of a month. I know bettas like it warm, but 83 is a little too high for my liking, and how do I know it won’t keep going up higher and higher?I want to add that my house is not warm at all. It’s still cold where I live, and we just had snow 2 days ago. I don’t have my heat cranked because it’s supposed to be spring. So it’s in the 60’s in my house. And the tank is not near a window where it gets sunlight.So I’m ordering a new one where I can adjust the heat to what I want it to be. No more auto thermostats for me. I’ll save this one to have for emergencies, in case one of my heaters runs out and I can’t get somewhere to get a new one right away.Oh, and also, the part where it attaches to the suction cup has suddenly become loose and it keeps breaking free, so the heater is floating freely.So yeah it works fine. Easy to use. The preset thermostat is just unreliable.Ver másVer menos

Great
heater works fine! its normally warmer on the side its at so i recommend keeping it in the middle back of your tank. its pretty small so it can hide well behind plants, easy to use, no odor, and its been working still after 2 months.

WORST & FAULTY PRODUCT 👎🏼👎🏼
I bought this expensive product for better care of my fishes & shrimp. Instead of maintaining the temperature, as advertised, it overheated the water killing everything in the tank. My beautiful planted tank was ruined. 👎🏼
