Stronger than expected
use for a trail cam. Had it outside since the day received without issues. It's staked into the ground, the camera hasn't changed positions, all is well. Like another reviewer suggested, I wrapped all of the shiny surface in cammo tape so it won't spook any of the critters. Will be buying another one.*****UPDATE**** I checked the cam today (March 31) and unfortunately the mount broke off of the camera stand. Found the camera on the ground, face up. Bummer, cam took 9,673 photos of the trees and sky.Now need to check the lithium batteries to see if this camera stand just cost me $20 bucks in burning through batteries - too bad it didn't fall off facing the ground, probably wouldn't have taken 10K pictures. Not going to buy another one of these camera stands.Ver másVer menos

Good, but missing a part.
This is a well made stand and I like the adjustable height feature. However, mine arrived in a simple plastic bag that had popped open and the bolt that allows adjustment of the extension pole was missing. Check the picture for the silver knob below the camera mount area. Fortunately, I had a bolt that fit the hole so I could adjust the pole. There was another adjustment knob that was loose in the bag, but I found that. Otherwise, I would have had to return it as useless. They should really pack these better.Ver másVer menos

Well made game / trail camera mount
This is really a well made game / trail camera mount. I'll start with the only negative first. This mount did not come with any instructions but I guess it doesn't take a "rocket scientist" to figure it out. It came with two stainless steel nuts and I'm not sure why since it doesn't have any instructions and the product photo only shows one stainless steel nut. More on that later in the review. It is almost entirely stainless steel and although there are various grades of stainless this does appear to be decent quality. The prongs on the mount that I received are pretty thick and welded well so I think they'll hold up for a good while. The base came with two stainless steel nuts (see photo) and I'm not sure why (no instructions) as the attaching rod will screw down all the way to just one. The nut on the bottom is used to secure the prongs so they don't move around when putting them in the ground. The attaching rod will screw down to the bottom nut and is pretty secure although I did add a stainless steel lock washer to ensure extra stability. The bottom of the rod that has the "teeth" can be used to various positions and it is secured by a wing nut. The teeth are a little course so you really have to tighten the wing nut to secure it. The top rod that goes into the bottom rod for additional height adjustment really fits tight which helps to prevent movement after locking it down with the screw. There is more than enough height adjustments for my needs as I'm using the lowest position. The piece that goes into the bottom of the game camera is both plastic and stainless. There is a wide range of adjustments, swivels and angles to do whatever you need to do. So far this is a "keeper" and I will be ordering a couple of more in the future.Ver másVer menos

Solid camera mount with one big flaw . . . and it broke.
This mount seems to work fine, but it does have one major flaw in my opinion. The wing nut on the bottom of the mount near the ground spike wobbles and cannot be made solid enough to keep the mount vertical in some instances. If this rotation point was moved to the top of the mount I believe it might work better. I have three of these and each one of them has this same issue.Update: As you can see in the picture attached to my review, the stand broke at the base where the horrible design I mentioned is located. These function as intended, but not of the highest quality.
I previously purchased two trail cameras (through Amazon) for deer observations on my property.A tree branch fell, struck one of the units, and broke the strapping brackets.I purchased these mounting poles (sold as a set of two) in order to handle the broken unit.Fortunately, the cameras did come equipped with female threaded mounting ports on the bottom.The thread pattern on these mounting poles were an exact thread match so the unit screwed on perfectly.The poles have a telescopic center section plus angle and pivot locations both top and bottm.As seen in the images, I have the entire unit at the lowest settings, all at 90 degrees to the ground.My three star rating is driven by these factors.The "chrome" finish likely isn't ideal, powder coated black or dark green would be an improvement.I may end up applying a quick coat of black spray paint, but this is currently undecided.The materials are extremely thin and lightweight and it's too early in the set-up and usage to see how well they hold up. I'll be curious to see if the threaded tightening knobs rust in the weather. It does appear the chance of over-tightening exists which could lead to stripping the threads or otherwise damaging the plastic parts.They are easy to setup and use, and not priced too "out of reason", but IMO, the materials are just borderline "cheap".Regardless, I've used one of the poles to solve the problem of the broken camera mount and have a second pole if it's needed in the future.I would recommend these if you find yourself in a similar situation, but be aware these are not what I'd consider "high end"....Ver másVer menos

Easy to install and use
Installed in my back yard to catch the deer feeding on my shrubbery. Easy to move around as needed. I don't think I would use it in a location where others could take it, but in the security of private property, this is the real deal. I would purchase again.Ver másVer menos

Less than half the price of name brand, and just as good!!
I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the name brand trail camera stakes. I wound up purchasing two of these stakes for roughly half of the price for just one name brand stake. I figured, I've thrown money away on worse things. What have I got to lose?I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy these stakes are. They may not come with a coat of olive drab paint on them, like the name brand products, but deer and turkeys don't care what they look like. And if that's a big deal to you, spray paint's cheap.If you're looking for a cell cam stake and are tired of getting ripped off by the name brand folks, check these stakes out!! Less than half the price, and every bit as sturdy, if not sturdier.Ver másVer menos
