Great quality for a great price.

I've had the M720 for over five years, used primarily for gaming with my desktop setup. I've purchased a second one to use with my new gaming laptop. I shopped for other options, and I didn't find anything I'd consider comparable for under $40. I recommend combing through the various features of this mouse presented in the listing, as it has a lot to offer. Below are six reasons I chose the M720 a second time, separated and numbered for convenience.1) I've never had a connection issue with either the dongle or Bluetooth. Again, it's been over five years.2) The battery life is amazing. I have to change the single AA battery once a year, MAYBE twice some years. The new mouse also came with a Duracell already inside, and a plastic tab to pull out, indicating that it is fresh.3) The responsiveness of the cursor on-screen to the mouse's movement is accurate and feels natural.4) I've never had need of the three side buttons, but it's a really nice feature. I very rarely accidentally press the side buttons, but when I do, it's quick and effortless to correct.5) The finish is matte rubber, which to me looks much higher quality than shiny, hard plastic. The texture is smooth and soft, doesn't stick to your skin during long periods of use, and feels good. It's also worthy to note that the bottom of the mouse is no longer white like in the photos, it is now black to match the rest of the design. I like it better.6) The shape, size, and weight of this mouse are perfect for me. The indentation on the left side holsters my thumb comfortably, while the high, rounded part on the top fits securely in my palm beneath my index and middle knuckles. It does not require much of a grip at all. My hand rests naturaly and operates the mouse with minimal effort. It's a great multi-functional choice, capable of supporting me through many hours, and is suitable for browsing, work, and gaming.Ver más

Perfect for gaming and everyday use with multiple devices

I've been using the Logitech M720 Triathlon for both work and personal use, and it has become one of my favorite productivity mice. The standout feature is the ability to connect to multiple devices and switch between them with the press of a button. I regularly move between a Windows laptop, a MacBook, and an iPad, and the transition is seamless.The mouse is very comfortable for extended use. Its ergonomic shape fits naturally in my hand, and I've experienced much less hand fatigue compared to using smaller travel mice. "Is This A Good Mouse For Windows And Linux?"

Is this a good mouse? Yes it is. You don't need to read any further if you want to know if it lives up to the hype. However, for those with concerns like I had, I hope to clarify some points. From the moment I grabbed the box, I felt I had something special. Upon opening it, I fell in love. The look and feel were akin to buying the Ferrari edition of a mouse. I had my doubts before purchasing, but I'm glad I took the chance.One of my biggest concerns was transitioning from Windows to Linux since I had no plans of going back. I tested the mouse on both Windows (64-bit and 32-bit) and Linux. For Linux, you'll need to download some programs: primarily Solaar for the unifying dongle, along with Piper, LogiOps, and LogiOpsGui. I used LogiOps for button remapping, which saved me from some headaches due to issues I faced. I encountered an intermittent problem where the two side buttons reverted back to default while all other remapped buttons stayed in place. It turned out that Solaar and LogiOps were conflicting.Long story short, if you find yourself in a similar situation, delete the existing configuration files in the ".config/solaar" directory—specifically, "config.json" and "rules.yaml". This allows Solaar to create a new default "config.json". As long as you don’t unlock anything, you can use Solaar to pair the device and LogiOps to remap the keys. This small tweak can make a big difference!My Biggest Worries1. Default DPI was set at 10002. Compatibility with Linux or Windows 32-bit systems3. Accidental presses of the side buttons4. Weight: Switching from a mouse that was already too heavy at 3.5oz to a whopping 4.8oz 👀 was somewhat daunting.5. Material quality: Some rubber materials deteriorate on other electronics over time.6. Click noise: Going back to clicking sounds after using silent-click mice.7. Drop test durabilityWorries Alleviated1. DPI Adjustment: The 1000 DPI can be adjusted through LogiOps, Solaar, or mouse settings for pointer speed on Linux or Logitech Options on Windows. I typically used other mice with adjustable DPI up to 1600, so 1000 DPI felt slow and laggy. However, after adjusting the sensitivity to 466 in Solaar, it felt no different from 1600. I briefly tried the stock settings and adapted to 1000 DPI within a few hours, but the memory of 1600 lingered. As mentioned, I figured out how to set it in LogiOps while leaving Solaar in its default settings.2. Plug-and-Play Compatibility: It worked on Linux right out of the box via Bluetooth. Switching to the USB Unifying dongle required no configuration—just plug it in, and Solaar handled the rest. However, I can't seem to figure out how to switch back to Bluetooth on 1, even after a reset at the time of writing this. But I can set 2 and 3 to other devices using Bluetooth, like my phone and Windows PC.3. Button Design: I own several mice and have found that some come with sensitive side buttons easily pressed. This mouse's side buttons are well-designed and require a firmer press, minimizing accidental activation.4. Weight Comfort: Surprisingly, the increased weight hasn’t been an issue. The ergonomic design makes it easy to pick up and move without worrying about it slipping or accidentally pressing buttons. You only notice it if you’re paying close attention; when focused on work, you won’t even realize it. I frequently pick up and relocate my mice, and this one handles that gracefully.5. Quality Material: The rubber feels luxurious, similar to what you’d find on a premium car gear shifter.6. Click Sound: My favorite previous mouse had almost silent clicks and was nearly perfect but lacked extra buttons, and its batteries barely lasted a month. The M720's clicks provide pleasant audio feedback.7. Durability: I accidentally knocked it off my stand-up desk from about three and a half feet 😮‍💨. Luckily, the carpet cushioned the fall. I received a low battery warning, but resetting the battery fixed the issue. The drop test gets a passing score 👍.This mouse is a game-changer for programming. The primary downside is that the unifying dongle doesn’t pair automatically without installing an app, which can be a hassle. For Linux users, there is no official Logitech Options package. Fortunately, the Linux community has developed solutions like Solaar, which greatly simplify the connection process. After a recent kernel update on Linux, I experienced a moment of panic when the mouse disconnected. However, I quickly resolved it by unplugging the dongle and unpairing the device in the Solaar app using another mouse, then pairing it again. While not a significant issue, it’s something to be aware of. The best upside is that you can buy another unifying dongle if you lose it, unlike regular dongles where losing it means needing to buy another mouse.Q: Is this mouse worth the price?A: Absolutely! It’s worth every penny. I will definitely be buying a couple of backups in the near future.

Great performance and comfort, but flawed Mac software and awkward thumb button

I’ve been using this mouse for a year now, and overall I’m very satisfied with it.The performance is excellent - it’s precise, responsive, and smooth in everyday use. Whether for work or general browsing, it feels fast and reliable. The shape, size and weight is also very comfortable, and it sits well in the hand even during long sessions.Build quality is another strong point. The materials feel solid and pleasant to the touch, and nothing creaks or feels cheap.One of my favorite features is the ability to switch between multiple devices. Reliable Multi-Device Mouse

I absolutely love this mouse. It feels great in hand and works flawlessly every time - no connectivity drops or lag issues.The multi-device switching is super convenient for going between my laptop and desktop without constantly re-pairing. I love this mouse! Best mouse I've ever had.

This mouse is awesome! I did get a defective unit when I first bought it (the scroll wheel was malfunctioning), but Amazon replaced it and the replacement has been working perfectly for 11 months now. Having Bluetooth support for 3 devices is SO convenient. I currently have it paired with two different laptops and a Fire TV device, and can switch between all 3 devices at the touch of a button. (Amazing how useful a real mouse can be on a Fire TV device when using Android apps not designed for remote controls!) While this mouse comes with a USB dongle, I haven't needed it.I've spent over 30 years in IT and, of course, I've owned and used countless different mice over the years. Mechanical mice, Sun Microsystems optical mice that required a special mouse pad, optical mice, etc. The Logitech M720 is my favorite of them all, hands down. The size and shape fits my hand perfectly. (It might not work as well for those with small hands.) My only nitpick is that I find it way too easy to press the hidden thumb button by accident; I wish it required more force to activate. But I just mapped that button to do nothing, which solved the problem for me.One special note I'd like to add. One of the laptops I'm using with this mouse is my new MacBook Pro. I hate Apple's idea of "natural" scroll direction for a mouse scroll wheel; it's opposite from windows and feels completely non-intuitive to me. I certainly don't want to have it different from my Windows laptop. However, Apple's preferences settings are badly designed -- they don't allow you to set the scroll direction independently for the mouse and trackpad! On the trackpad, the "natural" scroll direction is good. On the mouse, it's bad. Apple forces you to choose both at the same time and doesn't provide the ability to use "natural" scroll direction on the trackpad and Windows-compatible on the mouse. However, Logitech's software FIXES this user interface disaster! After I installed the "Logitech Options" software for MacOS, it has its own UI and settings for the mouse, and defaults scroll direction to "standard" instead of "natural", while the trackpad continues to use "natural" scrolling. Now the mouse and trackpad both scroll the same direction on my MacBook and on my Windows laptop. Woohoo!

A Solid Recommend for sub 40$ mice.

Ordered this item after using various Logitech mice since my childhood, and been using a Razer Viper 8KHz for my main pc since past few years.My old Logitech mouse ran out of (left) clicks literally, so been in the market for a compact, ergonomic multi-device Bluetooth mouse.-- The Good:1. Looks premium, classy in black.2. Fits small/medium palm sizes well, def usable but not too comfy for larger palm sizes.3. Multi-device connectivity (Receiver + Bluetooth)*- Only one of the few mice with a device switch button on top (instead of bottom), which makes switching devices super convenient. LED indicators for paired devices look cool too.4. Mouse response is accurate and very precise.5. Multi-feature support through the Logi Options app.6. Product includes a battery when delivered.*Check the bottom of this review for more on pairing insights.-- The Not so Good:-Nothing major but precise scrolling (feedback) does not feel premium.-- Knit-picks:1. No silent click tech (reserved for premium mice) but some cheaper mouse from same brand feature that. - nothing wrong with clicks, they sound solid, feel very precise and tactile.2. Plastic body (but solid build).*Pairing:1. USB unifying receiver- connect and download the Logi options app, which will only connect to the mouse once you open the link in the browser. (receiver pared at 1)2. Rest 2/3 can be paired with bluetooth device.-- Testing:1. Supports multi-gesture/button customization through the app. Compatible with iOS, iPad OS, and Windows PC.2. The BEST wireless mouse for work and home uses

First let me tell you my experiences with wireless computer mice before discussing the pros and cons. I am very picky about mice, and trust me I have used a lot of mice - not only from Logitech but also from other brands - over the years. Even from Logitech alone, I have used several of their models - from the bottom tier to the top tier. But no other mouse has ever given the satisfaction that this one is giving. It is, hands down, the best wireless mouse for office and home uses imo. Now, let's discuss the pros and cons.PROS: In a nutshell, this mouse has everything you can ask from a office and home purpose mouse. Nevertheless, I would like to point out some major advantages:1. Well built with quality materials, sturdy and good looking.2. Ergonomic design that fits average size hands perfectly.3. Scroll wheel is the best I have used. It does both horizontal and vertical scrolling. Also, you can switch between 'line-by-line scrolling' and 'super fast scrolling' just through a tap of the button over the scroll wheel. This method provides far more accurate and consistent scrolling than what I have experienced with Logitech MX Master 3S, although this model cost me one-third of the Master 3S's.4. Multiple programmable button that you can customize through the Logitech Option+ software.5. There is a gesture feature also! You can tap and perform several commands using different gestures. The commands are customizable through the software. This feature helps me immensely.6. Charging indicator light is very handy.7. Connect up to 3 devices using the dongle and two different Bluetooth bandwidth. Each one has an indicator number that lights up according to which connection is active (how cute is that!). You can switch smoothly between multiple devices.8. The battery backup is extraordinary.9. There is an on/off button at the back of the mouse. You can turn it off in case you decide to not using it for a long time.Now let's discuss the cons. Well, these are not cons for me personally but I guess some people might find them uncomfortable.1. This mouse is not well-suited for gaming. It doesn't have that much high DPI that a gaming mouse needs. This is not a con of this model since it is not intended for gaming. Just a caution.2. Some people might find the clicking sound a little louder, though I am totally fine with it.I can't think of any other cons, so far I have experienced none.Conclusion: If you are looking for a mid budget mouse best suited for home and office uses, you do not want to miss it. Just give it a try and see for yourself.
