  Great glasses 👓

  Probably the best investment I’ve made all year. Convenience, convenience, convenience. The speaker is great, response time for Meta features are unmatched, and battery like is pretty good. The case is ok, I feel like they missed the mark on design. It sits on the ears and nose kinda tight but will adjust after time. The pictures and video are of great quality.   better than another high priced brand...

  I own a lot of different types of smart glasses and this is one of my favorite pairs to wear. they fit amazing and they feel way better than some other brands that are very very similar to the one using Meta... buy these over the other if you have a thin long nose.Ver másVer menos

  VERTICAL ASPECT RATIO ONLY. Also looks very stupid clunky huge

  These glasses are so unbelievably clunky and hideous it is unbelievable. I thought “ oh these look great like the Carey grant oliver peoples I have nice!” Lo and behold I put them on they are massive with two giant camera lenses that are glaringly obvious. So you look like twice the clown wearing ridiculous looking glasses plus you are basically waving a flag that you are wearing camera glasses. And wait, get this, of course they do not make it easy for you to find out that these only film in VERTICAL ASPECT RATIO ONLY. you cannot film, normal video or take normal photos with these glasses FYI-and they really try not to tell you that. it is almost a scam.Ver másVer menos

  Defective transition, underwhelming features

  The transition lenses didn’t get very dark for me. Maybe half as dark as advertised at best, even in the direct summer sun. I don’t know if I was accidentally sold a defective unit but the pair did not work as sunglasses for me. Being outside was just too bright.Other than that, the product quality is underwhelming. I will say, I was able to take decent pictures and videos, although they look kinda zoomed too far out. But the ‘AI’ features are comically bad. The ‘AI’ gives wrong information even about the product itself. The photo editing is atrocious too.Importing media is clunky. The app makes you join a separate WiFi network (which makes me as a software engineer with a focus on cybersecurity concerned about security and privacy) to then transfer media very slowly to your phone.Privacy in general is a concern. Every day, the app asked for more access to Bluetooth to scan for devices nearby. (Who’s going to buy more than one pair?) Just to use the glasses as speakers for Spotify, Meta wanted access to my lifelong listening history. That seems excessive and unnecessary – I don’t recall any other Bluetooth speakers ever needing that info.Overall, if they just ripped out the ridiculous ‘AI’ altogether and focused on smoother integration with iOS, these glasses could be a decent product. You can genuinely make fairly good hands-free POV content. But it’s not a mature product yet. Definitely not worth the price. If it was half the price (I paid over $500 incl. taxes) then maybe.I ended up returning them.Ver másVer menos

  Removed live streaming

  After my first day wearing them I love them. Live streamed my motorcycle ride to and from work for safety, while listening to music and took a phone call hands free. The transition lenses are great as I ride all hours of the day, they give me directions where to go, protect my eyes from wind and bugs, record my trips on Instagram for safety, translate Spanish for me and read QR codes. Just in my first day.Edit they removed the feature to use the glasses as a camera while streaming. The main reason I bought these glassesVer másVer menos

  Feels Made for Temu Primetime: Felt nothing like original Luxoticca.

  These are genuine Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses (verified by the Meta integration and serial), but the build quality feels like a Temu knockoff, not the premium Oakley I expected. Hairline scratches were on the frame right out of then box with discoloration in the finish across the top of the curry frame. The frame anlso felt too lightweight in a bad way — flimsy, flexy plastic that creaks under normal handling. The hinges feel loose. Lenses hardly transition for suitable sun glasses in sunlight. Even the nose pads and temple tips feel low-rent.I paid full Oakley price expecting legendary durability and premium materials. Instead I got something that feels mass-produced for the budget market. The Meta AI, cameras, and audio work fine, but the hardware itself is a massive letdown for the Oakley name and price point.Luxottica/Oakley — if you’re reading reviews like this, please do better. These glasses should feel worth the premium. Happy to test a proper pair if you want real-world feedback on what went wrong with this batch.Would not recommend at current quality.Ver másVer menos
