It works I used this so I could use my Nintendo to play fortnight it works very well

Sound great
I like these headphones for the audio quality. Bear in mind, I'm not an audiophile, but it sounds great to me, especially compared to most wireless headphones.I am going to give it five stars but I have suggestions for an improved version of these headphones, which would require a higher price point probably, which is why I am not taking away any stars.It would be nice if this had a wireless option, sort of like the 3D Pulse Headset for the PlayStation 5. I'm not sure if a wireless receiver is the way to go, but it sure seems like it when I compare the 3D Pulse Headset. It should still have a 3.5mm cable, like the 3D Pulse Headset does, so you can play it wired. Playing the Nintendo Switch docked basically requires getting a cheaper controller with a tradeoff (like no motion controls, wireless capabilities, or HD Rumble) just to add a 3.5mm port on the controller (Nintendo's controllers unfortunately overlooked this), so most likely, you will not be able to play with these headphones wired unless you sit close to your Switch or maybe you can buy a wire extension for the 3.5mm port. I probably should look into that.I also think it would have been nice for it come with a case. I've been storing these headphones in the original box and a case would make it easier to store. Edit: I am editing this to add that I bought the black and white Headset, and although it looks nice with the White Joy-Con, for some strange reason, they didn't make both sides white. They could still make the middle portion black, just like the Switch, and it would feel like it would match the Switch OLED Model with the White Joy-Con even more. I know it's a minor nitpick, but I thought I should mention this, in case PDP reads these reviews.Otherwise, it's a great pair of headphones!Ver másVer menos

Perfect!

For some reason, the microphone won't work with my Switch unless I use an extension cable
EDIT: After around 6 months the microphone failed completely. I contacted PDP customer service and they sent a whole new pair which seems to have no issues. My kids have used the new pair for seveal months with no issues. I'm going to upgrade this review to 4 stars for the killer customer support and since it seems I just got a bad one before.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I suspect something is defective in the headphone jack on these; perhaps it is not machined correctly. The problem is that the mic does not work when used on my Switch. The mic works on other devices, and it even works on the switch if I plug it into an extension cable and then plug that into the Switch, but it won't work if I just plug it in directly. The headphone functionality appears to work fine on all devices.This is okay for me since I use an extension cable, but it is very peculiar behavior considering it does not seem to work well with the exact device it is targeting.Note that you have to flip the mic down in order to turn it on. This is a really neat feature because it allows you to mute just by moving the mic up.Unfortunately, it's 3-star at best given the build quality.Ver másVer menos

Kids love that it's Nintendo Scheme and they are really not bad!
Priced right for the quality. branding keeps kids happy, he can now zoom and play without disconnecting like we had with Bluetooth headset before. The volume control tool on the ear cup took our 8 year old a few seconds to master and the headset has a full range of volume if needed to be loud. My opinion as an adult with background in music recordings and live shows is that the audio quality is not perfect but it's also not the worst i ever heard from a budget headset. Overall sound is nice, clear and flat. Bass is not overbearing and because of the smaller 40mm driver the bass is more stiff and plastic sounding, by all means this headset sounds very decent and more than serves it's purpose. I have tested it with both our Samsung S6 Tab lite and with a PC computer using a Y-splitter and they work great. Mic is nice and clear and because the boom is 6" it is plenty long to reach around the face. No need to put the mic on your mouth it is plenty sensitive at 2" to 3" away from face. Only test now is how long it last considering my kids are fairly gentle with their electronics.Ver másVer menos

Comfy, good price, works with switch and xbox controllers.
Bought several of these for my kids as they love to game and shout across the house at each other...I did have to set up a Teamspeak server in the garage for them to connect to, but now they can talk to each other through their head sets. The ear pieces are comfy and the mics are decent enough. There is a volume roller on the back left ear piece, so always check that first if they say they can't hear anyone.Ver másVer menos

Quality headset which you will need to purchase in Quantity
We first purchased this headset in May of this year. It is now August. In that time frame we have had to purchase replacement headsets twice. No that is not a typo, we are on our third headset in 4 months. Each headset lasted a little over a month before doing what other reviewers have pointed out, that the microphone stops working. The first two headsets had the same issue. I will come back to this review if our third experiences the same issue to update it. My 8 year old uses these to game with his friends and in no way does he swing these around or scream into the microphone, so I don’t believe he is the source of the issue. It’s a shame we have experienced the microphone issue, because if not for the issue causing a need to replace the headset, I would have given these 5 stars. The sound quality is great while it lasts and my son says they are very comfortable.Ver másVer menos
