When your setup is on display, the last thing you want to see is the tape holding it together. Gorilla Invisible Hold Mounting Tape delivers a strong, permanent bond that stays out of sight, so your space looks clean, organized, and put together. The crystal-clear, non-yellowing adhesive creates a virtually invisible hold and is perfect for hanging LED lights, mounting décor, or organizing essentials in classrooms, homework stations and study spaces where traditional tape would be noticeable. Works so well both indoors and outdoors. Holds almost forever.
This year we bought a few outdoor solar wall light to help light the outside of the house. Since we have aluminum siding, I didn't want to use screws to mount the light, so I bought this tape to install the lights on the house. So far, we have had heavy rain and cold weather and this tape has held up well.I also have a hook installed on the inside of a kitchen cabinet door to store acrylic lids of different sizes. The lids are heavy, so the mounting adhesive that came with the hooks wouldn't hold the weight. I used this tape on the hooks and it is holding well. The 1" width is perfect as it can be used for large or small items to be hung. For larger items, you can use a couple of strips. The strips are best installed vertically as this adds strength to the bond. You also need to be sure of placement since the bond is immediate and difficult to remove. I did find it a bit difficult to remove the backing strip on the tape, but used my thumb nail to lift a corner and was able to pull the backing off. I also like that this tape is a clear color as it does not show once installed. I, personally, didn't notice any odor from the adhesive, but this would quickly dissipate if you do notice an odor.Although this tape is great for indoor and outdoor use, the weather proof quality for outdoor use is where it shines. It holds on any surface that you don't want to use screws for installation whether smooth or rough. I would definitely recommend this tape for permanent mounting indoors or outdoors. I am still finding more uses for this wonderful mounting tape.I hope this review was helpful for you.Ver másVer menos

Great double-sided tape. Holds up super well.
I really like this gorilla tape and have ordered it a few times. It seems like I use it for everything. I mostly use it out on my back porch, which is my little oasis. I recently purchased a photography background and used it on my back porch because I thought it was pretty. I used this double-sided tape to hang it up on the siding. I know that it will work well to hold up during all sorts of weather and temperatures. I moved into my apartment about a year and a half ago and I actually used this tape to hang up string lights on my fence. I had a couple pieces start to fall down after a year and a half that I recently replaced, but most of it is still holding up very well a year and a half is a long time outside in temperatures over 100°, direct sunlight every day, wild wind, tornadoes, & ice storms, etc. I’m going to add some pictures of my porch lights that are hung up using only this tape. Again, I’m kind of shocked that it has lasted a year and a half already. It is made of a thicker tape that stretches. On the package it also states that it holds up better, if you place the tape horizontally.A little piece goes along way. You don’t need to use big strips of this. I just use a little tiny pieces to hang up my lights. I would say about 1” x 1”.When unrolling the tape the side that has the plastic peeling on it, is the side that is more sticky. That is the side that I attached to the brick or siding or wall or whatever I’m attaching the tape to.Also, after cutting the strip of tape that you want, sometimes it can be difficult to peel off the plastic. A little trick I use is to use my thumbnail to pinch off a teeny tiny bit of the corner and then I stretch the tape and it will release at the corner enough to peel off the plastic. I like that this tape is clear and see-through and visually, people cannot really tell that I hung my lights with clear tape. On the included pictures I have used this tape on my lights up top, my lights on the edge of my fence, to hang up a backdrop, and on my curtains to attach the side of my curtains to the brick. Excellent value.Ver másVer menos

Must Have!
I didn’t expect to be this impressed, but Gorilla Tape is seriously next level. This tape is THICK, super sticky, and actually holds up on rough surfaces like wood, plastic, and even slightly dusty areas.I’ve used it for quick home fixes, organizing cords, and even securing things that regular duct tape couldn’t handle—and it did not budge. Once it’s on, it’s ON.Only downside: it’s so strong that removing it can be a little tough, so make sure you place it right the first time.Rating: 9/10 ⭐Perfect for heavy-duty use, not just basic fixes.Ver másVer menos

Sticks well but hard to peel back the liner
Works pretty well, but peeling back the liner is a pain. It takes an exacto blade to pull up and edge. Its softer than I would have liked, but it sticks well.

A Game Changer!!!
I picked up Gorilla Invisible Mounting Tape on a whim to hang some lightweight frames and decorations, and I am genuinely blown away by how well it works. True to its name, once applied, you can barely tell it’s there — the clear finish blends seamlessly with almost any surface, giving your décor a clean, polished look without any visible hardware. What really sets this tape apart is the holding power. I’ve used other double-sided tapes that seemed promising but eventually let go after a few days. Gorilla’s version has been holding strong for months without a single piece slipping. I’ve used it on painted drywall, glass, tile, and wood — and it has performed flawlessly on every surface.Application is straightforward: clean the surface, peel, stick, and press firmly for about 30 seconds. That’s it. No nails, no screws, no wall damage. When I did need to remove one of the strips to reposition a frame, it came off cleanly without peeling paint or leaving a sticky residue — which, if you’ve ever dealt with other mounting tapes, you know is a huge deal.I’ve now replaced almost all the picture hooks in my home with this tape, and I recommend it to everyone. If you want a reliable, nearly invisible mounting solution that actually lives up to its promises, Gorilla Invisible Mounting Tape is absolutely worth every penny.Bottom line: Strong, clean, easy to use, and truly invisible. 10/10 would recommend!Ver másVer menos

It doesn't stick well outside
I bought the Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Mounting Tape (Clear Tape, 1" x 150") to hang some lightweight items indoors and a couple of things outside. It definitely has a strong hold at first and I like that it’s clear so it’s not super noticeable. It’s also nice that it’s weatherproof because I wanted to stick a small sign outside and it did hold up for a while in the sun and rain. The problem is it’s not as “permanent” as I hoped. After a few days the outdoor stuff started peeling at the edges, and indoors it sometimes loses grip if the surface isn’t 100% smooth. I also found it’s not easy to remove without leaving sticky residue behind, which is frustrating if you want to change something later. Cutting it to size can be tricky too since it’s so sticky and tends to gum up scissors.Overall it works fine for light or temporary projects, and the roll is a good length, but for heavier things or long term outdoor use it’s not perfect. I’d give it 3 stars because it’s good for some jobs but not quite the all-around solution I expected.Ver másVer menos

Don't buy foam mounting tape, buy this instead!
You would think that tape is just tape, but clear acrylic mounting tape is truly legions ahead of the foam version. I've tried both, and while the foam one works, the clear one is way more versatile.Pros of acrylic:* Strong adhesion, enough to adhere posters, wall accessories, and the like* Easy to remove, comes off in one piece which is really important when you have an apartment or only want it to be temporary* Clear color. Helps to hide it if you aren't just directly covering it* Holds better in hot weather. I've used this to keep cables from moving in my car and this stuff sticks better when it's hot compared to the foam ones* Way more waterproof than foam. I use it to mount a sponge holder and it's been great.* Lasts way longer than foam. I've kept both inside a dry and cool drawer and I found that the foam one eventually loses its stickiness when just lying around. I won't fault the foam version too much since I've had it for a year or so inside the drawer, but the acrylic one stays sticky.Cons of acrylic:* More expensive per foot/meter. Not really an issue for me since I only use it sparingly, but might be a deal breaker for others.* Foam versions usually have a higher weight limit. If you are mounting heavier objects, you might need to buy foam versions instead.* Peeling and cutting is a pain. Scissors love to not cut properly from my experience and the film they use to prevent it from sticking to each other is unbelievably frustrating if you clipped your nails recently.I love using this for posters, sticking cables onto the wall (which is a budget way of cable management, don't judge), and mounting things like hooks and a sponge holder.Ver másVer menos

Incredible!
I've been using this tape for years and it is truly impressive. The hold is nuts. I used this 5ish years ago to put up my ring doorbell on my front door. I upgraded my ring and went to remove it and had to legitimately pry it off. HOWEVER it did NOT leave behind ANY residue no sticky no discoloration nothing! once I wiped away the dust with a Clorox wipe you couldn't even tell it was ever on the door let alone for YEARS. Used it to put up the new one and just as perfect.note for hot cold resistance I live in Colorado facing south so lots of direct sunlight and lots of cold days and lots of hot days.Ver másVer menos

Melted in the sun
Used it to hold up bobble head Spider-Man on the dashboard of my car. The tape melted within a week and poor Spider-Man flopped down. Scotch 3M holds up another toy and that has not budged. Need I say more.

Strong and Versatile Adhesive Tape!
I recently purchased the Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Adhesive Mounting Tape, Extra Large, 1" x 150", Clear, (Pack of 1), and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. This tape is a true powerhouse when it comes to mounting and adhering various objects. Its extra-large size gives you plenty to work with, and the clear design ensures that it's discreet and blends well with any surface. The fact that it's double-sided makes it incredibly versatile for a wide range of applications. What sets this tape apart is its incredible strength. It can hold up even heavy objects with ease, and it sticks like a charm. I've used it to secure pictures, frames, and even some outdoor decorations, and it has held up in various weather conditions. The durability of this tape is remarkable. I've had it in place for months, and it still shows no signs of weakening or losing its grip. Plus, it doesn't damage the surfaces it's applied to when removed, which is a big bonus. The packaging is convenient and easy to use, making application a breeze. This tape is a reliable and practical solution for all your mounting and adhesive needs. I highly recommend the Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Adhesive Mounting Tape for anyone looking for a strong and long-lasting adhesive tape. It's worth every penny!Ver másVer menos
