  Great Leakproof Mug

  Excellent quality mug. Durable and leak proof. Everything I need in a mug. Ergonomic, easy to open and close, the color is good too. My wife loves this mug. You can just throw it in the dishwasher and it’s clean. Easy to keep clean and no mold is going to grow because there’s no nooks and crannies to worry about.Yes I would recommend this mug to you.   Lovely and many plus's . Worth the $

  Love this ( Ellow) bigger size & classy ribbed look, of this ceramic mug. I have 3 of them already that I've had for years . They still look like new. I prefer drinking out of ceramic better than stainless .I like that it has its own ( silicone) coaster built into it ( that comes off to clean). Even with lid , It's dishwasher safe & can be used in the microwave, for a reheat . I love that I don't get splash stains on my carpet, etc. because it has a great small lid that fits for travel, too. Shipping time was as stated . The only down side is... even though double walled, it does not keep hot for very long.So, I drink right away or microwaveVer másVer menos

  Wonderful coffee mugs, but no evidence the glaze is certified lead-free and cadmium-free.

  I first bought this cup at a local box store. I like the ceramic for holding the temperature, the size is a little larger than most coffee cups and I like that. The rubber, silicone bottom prevents furniture damage and protects the cup. It's dishwasher safe. I don't use it as a travel mug, because I don't like to drink beverages when I am driving due to risk of accidents. It's my cup of choice for coffee at home. I broke my first cup by accident. Over all the cup is quite sturdy.2026 UPDATE - ELLO JANE CERAMIC TRAVEL MUG (gray base): I have been using Ello Jane Ceramic Travel Mugs almost daily for many years as a home coffee mug. I don't use them as travel mugs as the handle doesn't fit in my SUV's cup holder. Replaced one I accidentally broke, and bought 6 more. Over all very sturdy. I wash them top rack in my dishwasher. One developed cracks inside on the bottom when I thoughtlessly put ice in a hot mug (no liquids in it). I had to discard the mug. Otherwise no scratching, chipping or cracking and the protective base is as good as new. Now more food safety conscious I searched to see if the mugs' ceramic glaze is certified lead-free and cadmium-free? I have "googled" with zero results. I went to the Ello Jane web site and found no mention the glaze at all. If the glaze is "Certified lead-free and cadmium-free, Ello Jane needs to post it on their web site and include that in the product description. In the absence of that, I am no longer using them and regrettably will have to discard them and will look for something else. I no longer recommend them as I don't know if they are chemically safe to use. I wish I had been more food safety aware before I bought them. If the absence of that certification isn't a concern for you then they are wonderful mugs.Ver másVer menos

  Overall happy with my purchase

  With all the hype around microplastics I decided to shelve my favorite plastic 20 oz insulated Thermos mug and find a plastic free alternative for my morning coffee.I had a list of requirements for my new mug. No plastic or metal (I love my Yeti for cold drinks but hate the metallic taste it gives hot beverages), at least 16 oz capacity, microwavable, and it must come with a lid (not only to avoid spillage, but to help keep my beverage hot).This morning was my first experience with the Ello Jane mug. Overall, I am pleased with the product. It is very well made and much heavier than I expected it to be. It is also very attractive, which is a bonus since I tend to leave sitting out all day. While the product description states it is 18 oz, I found it easily held a full 20 oz, I just took a couple sips before putting on the lid.The rubber bottom is nice, I just wish they also had thought to put a rubber ring about halfway up the mug (why 4 stars instead of 5). Even though the handle is large, I found myself wanting to hold on to the cup when drinking and the ceramic is hot! The addition of a rubber ring would let me hold onto the cup without burning my fingers.I like my coffee hot, so I preheated the mug with hot water while the coffee was brewing. I don’t know if the mug kept the coffee as warm as the Thermos mug did, and the last few sips were a bit tricky to drink because of the way the lid sits but given that I can enjoy my morning java without fear of ingesting microplastics, I found it a fair tradeoff.All this to say, if you are looking to upgrade from plastic to a well-made ceramic cup/mug you should give the Ello Jane ceramic mug a try.Ver másVer menos

  Nice mug but does not keep coffee hot

  I like the look and size of this mug but it does not keep my coffee hot at all. The outside of the mug does get hot so it's very nice that there is a handle.I will be keeping the mug because I like that it has a lid and personally I don't care if my coffee is hot but I know that is important for many, if not most coffee drinkers.Ver másVer menos

  Good microwave / dishwasher safe coffee mug

  I wanted a simple, microwave / dishwasher safe coffee mug that holds a decent amount. This mug worked.Saw some reviews how this isn't a good travel mug, which is fair - aluminum (aluminium?) mugs work great for travel mugs, not so good around the house when you need to reheat coffee. This ceramic mug has a removable silicone base to avoid damage to the mug / soften setting it down (needed for its weight), and a silicone lid to hold in the heat. Obviously it's not a good holding in heat as a vacuum chamber metal mug, but works better than standard coffee mugs. Also, the lid only opens at one end, so sipping doesn't allow air in with your lip seal, so I just detach the sliding piece of the lid.This may sound like criticisms, but again, this lid is perfect for around the house coffee / tea drinking. I've taking it with me on the road, it works fine for that as well. The silicone base fits snug in a cup holder, so the cup doesn't budge while driving.Bottomline, for the use around the house, this is a good mug.Ver másVer menos

  My lovely Jane (now in her second incarnation)Let me tell you about my relationship with Jane. The original Jane came to me secondhand, and we had a beautiful romance until she suffered what I can only describe as a "Beauty and the Beast level" chip situation. I'm talking waterworks here.   A brilliant bit of kit but not really a 'travel mug'.

  I am 85 years old with severe balance problems and have to use an upright walking frame and can't carry a cup so I bought an adjustable cup holder which clamps on to my frame then needed a decent size CHINA mug that is splash proof I found this one on Amazon and it fits my needs exactly, I can now get myself a cup of tea Independently. This mug is not really a "travel mug" it's too heavy, not really totally sealed, not double insulated but it hasn't got that usual horrible plastic/metallic taste that spoils your beverages. This is a really nice piece of china and well designed, I love it.Ver másVer menos
