I only review products after at least three months of use, and this medicine dispenser has fully lived up to its description.The side-cheek delivery really does prevent spit-ups and mess. It also bypasses tastebuds, making it easy to give medications, vitamins, and gripe water without a fight. The syringe markings are accurate and standard syringes fit as well.Because it’s shaped like the familiar hospital pacifier, my baby accepted it immediately and finds it comfortable. It even doubles as a regular pacifier.The set includes everything you need, and after months of routine use, it’s been consistently effective, clean, and stress-free. This is great if you have binky kid. This is a much easier way to give oral meds verses using the syringe that comes with most meds. I feel like it is easy to clean and the size is great you can take it part and fit in a small pocket of the diaper bag if needed. Great deal!Ver másVer menos

Brilliant idea that works very well! Would highly recommend putting this on a baby registry, and consider getting two: one for home and one for the diaper bag. The pacifier will often fit other syringes that come with certain baby medications. Reasonably priced, and easy to clean. Two cautions: 1. Do not remove the syringe from the pacifier while the pacifier is in baby’s mouth, or baby will suck in air; and 2. Be careful not to press the syringe plunger too quickly, or the medication could shoot to the back of baby’s mouth and cause choking, especially if baby is already sucking hard enough to get the medication anyway.Ver másVer menos

The Frida Baby Medicine Pacifier Syringe has been useful for administering medicine to our infant, though it's not without its quirks.What Works Well:Concept: The pacifier-style design is clever. Our baby is more accepting of this compared to a standard syringe because it mimics something familiar (a pacifier). This reduces the stress of medicine time.Accu-Dose Feature: The measurements on the syringe are clear and easy to read, which helps ensure accurate dosing. As a parent, this gives me confidence that I'm giving the right amount of medication.Bypass Function: The ability to bypass the pacifier and administer medicine directly to the side of the mouth is helpful, especially if your baby won't latch onto the pacifier portion or if you need to ensure they get the full dose quickly.Easy to Clean: The parts come apart and are easy to clean and sanitize, which is important for a product used for medication.Areas for Improvement:Hit or Miss Acceptance: While the pacifier design helps, our baby doesn't always cooperate. Sometimes they latch on and accept it well, other times they push it out or refuse it entirely. Success seems to depend on their mood and how they're feeling.Medicine Can Leak: If the baby doesn't create a good seal with the pacifier, medicine can leak out the sides. This is frustrating when you're trying to ensure they get the full dose, and you end up wasting some of the medication.Pacifier Portion Durability: The silicone pacifier part feels a bit thin. I worry about how long it will hold up with repeated use and cleaning. It hasn't torn yet, but it doesn't feel as robust as I'd like.Learning Curve: It takes some practice to figure out the right technique - how fast to push the plunger, when to bypass, etc. The first few attempts were messier than I expected.Size: For very young infants or small mouths, the pacifier portion feels a bit large. This might be why acceptance is inconsistent.Overall Assessment:This is a good product that makes medicine administration easier than fighting with a regular syringe. The 4-star rating reflects that it works well when it works, but there are enough inconsistencies (acceptance, potential for leaking) that prevent it from being a perfect solution. For the price point, I expected slightly better durability in the pacifier material.I'd recommend it to other parents, especially if your baby takes a pacifier regularly, but with the caveat that it may take some trial and error to get the technique right, and it won't always be a smooth experience.

Worth every penny! Brilliant invention!
Before this purchase we struggled with baby taking his daily medicine and vitamins. We tried syringing into his cheek or squirting slowly while he was sucking a dummy but we’d find it would always be spat out or run down his chin.This medicine dummy has been a lifesaver! He now gets every drop of his medicine and vitamins saving worries of if he had enough or changing clothes.I’ll admit the syringe isn’t always the most secure in the dummy but we’ve never had any spills, we just make sure to keep pressure on it! What’s great as well is that you can use it with other universal syringes so I use the syringe supplied for vitamins and then swap it while keeping the dummy in his mouth with a standard syringe filled with medicine.I’ve never had an issue with keeping clean either and I’m very paranoid with this as my baby was extremely premature. I fill the syringe with soapy water and squirt through, rinse throughly and sterilise in cold water Milton.We bought this when it was £27 and I know probably costs nowhere near that to make and have seen cheaper but it is worth it and we will be buying it again at that price when or if we ever lose it or it deteriorates!*Was my review helpful?
