Tailwind makes long distance running great! Saved me from years of GI woes!

Great combination of hydration and fuel for endurance events and long training runs. Simple sugars make it super easy to digest -- so no bad GI vibes, and the flavor is very light, so it doesn't cause sticky mouth syndrome and/or cause you to stop hydrating from being overwhelmed by the sweetness.I can generally run marathon distances on nothing but Tailwind, but like to combine it with a banana or two, or some fig newtons, or all of the above... anything that's real food and not goo, gel, etc.Ver másVer menos

Great results for a new ultra runner

This has absolutely changed my nutrition plan during my long runs. I was not a runner prior to the pandemic, but took up the hobby to pass some time, as well as build some endurance for other passions. I enjoyed the challenge so much that I moved straight into ultra mileage within a year, but being so green at the sport left me in shambles quite a few times due to poor race day nutrition. I tried tailwind on a recommendation from a friend who was more experienced than me. Boom, automatically was improved. Have had zero cramps, zero gut issues, and my body feels better post training runs. Even when I don’t feel like choking down any solids, the Mandarin orange flavor is fire. Mixes super easy in my camelback or bottle and very smooth with NO chunks or gritty texture. I did have to experiment for about a month to figure out the best ratio for my calorie needs, but it was worth it because I’m dialed in and getting great results.Ver másVer menos

Tastes Like Endurance, Pain, and Victory

No one is paying me or giving me anything for this review. I actually buy this stuff with my own money, which says a lot.Tailwind Nutrition Endurance Fuel is my go-to drink mix for long rides. It’s the magical blend that keeps me pedaling when my legs are filing HR complaints and my brain is wondering why I voluntarily suffer for hours. The Mandarin flavor? Smooth, refreshing, and somehow makes me feel like I’m riding through an orange grove instead of dying halfway up a virtual climb on ROUVY or while I’m trying to keep up with fast A group riders on local groups. I rotate flavors every few months just to keep things exciting — like speed dating, but with carbs and electrolytes.10/10 would recommend for anyone who’s ever bonked so hard they questioned their life choices. Tailwind brings you back from the brink and makes you believe again… until the next climb.Ver másVer menos

  Incredible for ANY endurance activities!

I was looking for a good electrolyte drink to use during my training rides in preparation for my 100-mile century bike ride. I had been using other products, but I was intrigued when Tailwind advertised that it could help simplify my nutritional needs. So I gave it a shot. On all my training rides lasting between 4-6 hours, Tailwind was incredible in that it gave me the right amount of energy, but didn't make me feel bloated or weird. Especially because you have to drink it for so long, I was worried I would get queasy. But this stuff was great, AND I had some that I gave to my friend at the end of our metric century ride, and SHE said it helped her finish. I still have to supplement my nutrition with a chunk of banana at rest stops or a little gel here and there, but I highly recommend to anyone that they try Tailwind as their drink for endurance training. It works!!Ver másVer menos

  Great, but Packaging Was Gross

Product delivered on time and love it. However, the product was covered in a clear, oily substance (gross). Had to wipe the pouch off several times to remove it.

  Keep coming back

Just came back to long distance triathlon (70.3 or half Ironman distance) after a two year pause. I have used other liquid nutrition powders in the past but decided to go back to Tailwind which was the last product I had been using consistently back in 2021. I cannot be happier with my choice. Ramping up my fitness and skills on all three sports has been difficult enough, not having to go through trial and error with my nutrition choices has greatly simplified the journey. I use a combination of non caffeinated and caffeinated Tailwind powders, typically first two bottles on a three hour bike ride (two scoops per bottle, one bottle per hour)are non caffeinated, third bottle is caffeinated formula for a boost as I get more tired. Flavor is light but delicious and refreshing and the amount of carbs and calories allows me to rely confidently only on Tailwind with no need for gels or salt caps. Zero stress on the digestive system as well. Highly recommended.Ver másVer menos

Effective - works phenomenally for long workouts

As of the start of 2024 I began running a 5k 3 x times a week with a 3 x 1 mile + hill sprints + pullups + plyometrics on Saturday. Tailwind is a fantastic addition to my workouts - I was dead towards the end of most of my workouts on days I'd run. I had low expectations for Tailwind as I have used sports drinks like Gatorade and such before and never really felt good after drinking them / I don't think it was the biggest performance boost. Tailwind works, I'm not saying it will cut a minute off your mile, but you'll go longer without feeling as tired. It's alright for lifting - especially in Florida where my garage gets HOT and I sweat a lot, but Tailwind is best for running. I definitely notice a performance boost when it comes to distance and staying fresh the whole run.Just a note on taste - I prefer a product like this with a more neutral taste that is not too in your face. Too many drinks are loaded with food coloring and additives. This stuff is exactly what it is marketed as.Ver másVer menos

  Excellent product

This has made such a difference to my triathlon training. Would highly recommend. Doesn’t really have much of a flavour, so I’ve just been sticking my electrolytes in with it

A good carbohydrate mix for endurance running

I am an ultra runner (100k+) who wanted a powder to put in my water for extra nutrition while I run. I have used this brand before and really enjoyed the product so I was looking forward to trying this one as well. The flavor is soft and not something that tastes bad over a long period of time. I feel better when I run using this in my water and I think that I can run faster for longer as well. The only negative feelings that I have about this product is that after using this drink for a long time I get very tired of it. I think that because of the high salt content inside of the drink, when I drank it during a recent 100k race I felt like I was not being hydrated enough. I had cold water mixed with tailwind but I did not feel very refreshed after drinking it. Other than that, I really do like this product and am excited to use it more in the future.Ver másVer menos

Great flavour and supports nutrition and hydration through lengthy run events.
