Great food! My dogs love it.
I absolutely love this food and so do all four of my dogs! Super easy to make and if you want it is a great addition to homemade food as well. Shelf stable so you are not trying to find room in your refrigerator. My only complaint is that I wish it had a little more fiber. But for now I just add blueberries or chia seeds.Ver másVer menos

It's like when your town gets its first good restaurant!
Our Pups are in Food Nirvana! They absolutely love Their Honest Kitchen meals! When its time to eat they are as so excited... Its like how I get when I order a Double Double Animal Style at In N Out Burger. We have two young Frenchies and an older Maltese. All 3 been fine dining on Honest Kitchen food for 6 months now. We prepare it with hot water and mix it up like oatmeal (which is great as I will explain in a moment). Our frenchie Jax was the biggest concern before we found the HK food option.... food allergies, rashes, kibble regurgitation, bowel issues..... you name it, it was no fun for Jax. He started on the "Grain Free" version of HK 6 months back. Everything is good! No rashes, no getting sick, normal bowels.... its like he's a new man. He's happy, and you know the french aren't always the happiest people. Cooper, our 1 yr old frenchie loves it. At 9 months he was a bit of load.... 6 months later he looks like Chris Hemsworth with an under bite! Chloe our 13 yr old Maltese could care less about eating her whole life. She only only cared about looking pretty. Well even fashion models get old...The last few years its been harder for her to eat because it hurts her teeth. On the Honest Kitchen she has become a foodie. In fact, when its time to eat, just get out of her way or you'll lose a finger! She did not do any of the following things for 12 years...but now, oh my god, she's annoying.... Barking to tell us that it's time to eat at the exact time each day (She will come and find me in my office and stare at me); Licking her bowl for a good 5 minutes after she's finished; Checking the other dogs bowls and licking them: going back to her bowl and licking it again. If she had an Amazon Prime acct we would be in serious trouble! The best thing is that the Honest Kitchen smells like Thanksgiving Dinner! I actually get hungry when I make their Honest Kitchen meals, which is a far cry from dry heaving whenever we had to feed them wet food from the can. Honest Kitchen is like Thanksgiving Oatmeal. Maybe that's what the should name one of their flavors! It may cost a bit more than other options but after all these are your fur babies. Keep them happy and healthy but do yourself a favor and get rid of the metal dog bowls or all the licking will sound like a really bad band is in your laundry room (Thats where Chloe eats)!Ver másVer menos

Great Quality
We have been using Honest Kitchen for years. We prefer to buy on Amazon because it's much more expensive in stores, especially our local Petsmart.

Decent quality for price
I really like that the product is organic and full of all kinds of healthy stuff. My 4 dogs really like the food but none of them are picky. I offered it to the 5 cats and only one would eat it.I tried to order a sample of the cat specific formula and they didn't have any samples. I don't want to risk paying that much for something the cats won't eat.There are a lot of grains/potatoes in this food so I'm not really sure that it is as high of a meat based food as my dogs should have. Other products with far more meat were far more expensive, so you get what you pay for.I just use it as a food topper. About 1/3 can of food makes one regular size can of food and that's split between 4 dogs.When I ordered the 8lb box from Amazon, they did a horrible job packing it. The box was all broke up inside the amazon box and had banged around breaking other items packaging in the same box. No product was damaged but I had to find something else to put it in. The outside of the box had no damage so it wasn't UPS, it was loose packaging. I've had this problem several times lately with Amazon and several other orders. You would think they would be experts about shipping by now. Add packing materials so things don't float around loose inside the box!Ver másVer menos

🐾 Worth the Splurge — Especially for Us in Hawaii Where Options Are Slim
Our neighbor (who also has a corgi) recommended this to us! We switched both dogs from dry kibble to this about 2 months ago and the results have been noticeable. Coats look better, and our older corgi (who'd crept up to 38 lbs) has dropped down to a healthy 30 lbs since the switch, all while eating a bigger portion than he did on kibble. Win-win for a dog on a diet.Yes, it's pricier than kibble, no way around that, but it's been worth it for us. We did a slow transition (starting 1/4 new to 3/4 old, working up gradually) and still hit a little diarrhea early on (pretty normal for a big food switch) but their poops are regular and normal now.Bonus for anyone in Hawaii: a lot of the popular fresh/human-grade options (like Farmer's Dog) don't ship here, so this was one of the few real quality upgrades actually available to us.Great option if you want to upgrade your dog's diet and can swing the price. Go slow on the transition to avoid tummy trouble, and if you're in Hawaii or another spot with limited fresh food shipping, this is a solid one to have on your radar.Ver másVer menos

Great product!! No more allergies!! Finicky eater even loves it!
Fantastic product. I have a boxer/pit mix and a standard poodle. The boxer will eat anything but has allergies. The poodle has never been interested in food. Until now.The boxer no longer had allergic scratching. The poodle..,. Stands like a statue watching as I mix “cook” the food. We make it fun and set a timer. When the 3 minute alarm goes off they both go nuts and sit immediately waiting for the “go”. They both finish, clean each other’s bowl. It must taste great. It is very easy to use. I make about the thickness of oatmeal. You can smell the freshness and quality of ingredients as you stir in the water.Great quality and value. I’m extremely pleased.Ver másVer menos

This is not high quality dog food
This is not good dog food. They trick you with the marketing "human grade", but it is absolute garbage when you actually look into it. The first ingredient is chicken, which you would think is good, however this is the "pre cooked" weight. After it is cooked down it becomes the 5th or 6th ingredient by weight and the rest is just grains and filler with no other meat source listed. My dog does not have an allergy to anything, including chicken which I have fed him multiple times. But he had a severe "allergic" reaction to this, and what I've come to find out is it is not an "allergy", it was a nutrient deficiency. This food is not pet friendly, it is garbage food with mostly filler that this company is charging a premium for. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for dog food as this stuff is garbage for your pet and will lead to nutritional imbalances.Ver másVer menos

As good a food can get
Human grade, so convenient for people wanting the best for their dog, a raw diet that doesn't have to thaw. Personally, I don't eat meat very often. I avoid the blood and mess and the garbage can that smell like rotten meat. This product has every bit of the goodness of a raw meat diet just none of the yuk. I weigh out the amount of dehydrated goodness (43.5 chickens in the 10 lb box plus oats, veggies and other good things. Just add enough water to make it the consistency your dog likes. Poops are small and firm. The other great thing is my dog isn't bugging me for more food. She doing great., full of energy, vitality,. She is almost 7 and people think she's a puppy. I know it's because I feed her the best and this product fits the billVer másVer menos

My puppy loves it and has never had an upset stomach
I just got my first puppy and I was very worried about switching her off of the raw diet food the breeder suggested. However, I did LOTS of research and found this to be the best solution I could find. My puppy loves it and she has never has an upset stomach from it :)Ver másVer menos

My dog loves it!
I have an aged beagle, and she needed something without all the additives, especially any corn. She also needed softer food. This dog food fits her needs and certainly agrees with her. No more upset tummy and the repercussions of that. I’m sure it’s extended her days with us.Ver másVer menos
