Works Great and a Good Value
This teasing comb does a great job and is a very good value for the price. It feels sturdy and well made, so I think it will last me a long time. Simple, effective, and does exactly what I need it to do. I definitely recommend it!

Fantastic teasing comb!
Works great! In my review I've outlined why the comb works well and also a tip for those of you who may have trouble getting your hair to stay teased!I have thick "heavy" hair and it's very hard to get it to hold after teasing, even with ample amounts of hairspray...it just wouldn't stay. I learned a new technique a while back which was to tease the hair, spray it underneath at the root, and then immediately use your hairspray can to wrap the hair partially around(this would also be underneath at the root) and this helps to sort of "freeze" the hairspray and your teased section of hair in an instant. The first two steps were obvious, but the hairspray can trick really does work! At first I was combining that technique with a regular fine tooth comb. There was improvement, but it still didn't work that well and plus I broke my old comb in the process. Here's where the salon chic comb made the difference. It's so sturdy, it definitely will not break on you while teasing your hair. It has a smooth surface, so it glides through the hair with ease and the two different comb lengths and widths, seem to be a great combination. If you have trouble getting your hair to stay "fluffed" up after teasing, give this comb and my above mentioned technique a try, you'll be thrilled! Another little tip is that Loreal's Root Boost Creation spray works wonders! It gives volume to your hair instantly, without having to blow dry it or do anything too time consuming. This is a great product to add to your teasing routine. All of these things combined works for me, at least...hopefully for some of you as well!Ver másVer menos

Awesome teasing comb
OK, so I remember in the 80s I actually had a tap teaser comb. I really liked that comb to get the big hair that was the 80s style. I was actually looking for that, when I came across this one. This one appeared to be nice and sturdy so I purchased it. It works great. Teases just right without causing the hair to tangler and mat up. It’s nice and durable. Provides volume for short hair
Until this purchase, I had never used a teasing comb. I just recently had my hair cut after growing it out for the past three years. Although I love the short hair, it's easy to style and care for, I missed the volume. My hairdresser suggested using the teasing comb to lift my hair while I'm drying it. It works! It grips the hair, even with the blow dryer on it and I can get the lift where I want. I've found that it even helps when I occasionally use hairspray. I lift the hair with the comb, spray, hold and the hair stays put. Other than intermittent lapses of judgement of deciding to grow my hair out, I've had short hair the majority of my life. I don't know how I've not heard of teasing combs until now but I love it and use it every time I blow dry my hair. If you are looking to add volume, especially to short hair, I would recommend it.Ver másVer menos

I have teased my hair since the early 1980's. Pretty much every day. Yes, it is true. I consider myself the expert and have taught this to many-a-friend who has asked for hair-teasing lessons. The secret to have it look natural for today's styles is to have only the 1/4"-1/2" that is closest to the scalp teased, the rest not teased. This comb is by far the best I have ever experienced to achieve this. It is sturdy, and the constant bending placed on it to tease with the required force does not break the handle off like I have experienced with other brands. Furthermore, the teeth stay intact, not falling apart like other brands after ample usage. THe quality of the plastic holds up, I think that is why it works so well. Also, it has a gloss-finish and hard plastic that allows it to glide through the hair, not a flat finish and bendable plastic of a lesser-quality comb. THis allows for better teasing accuracy, and faster teasing. The profile of the comb is low, allowing for a close-to-the-head tease. The fine teeth really allow it to tease well. I have bought more expensive versions, and liked this one the best.Ver másVer menos

Wish I'd had this 30 years ago
Backratting is an artform and I'm an expert. I have thin, fine hair and have ratted it daily for volume since the 80's, although I sadly don't do b**** bangs anymore (except to freak my teenager out). Way back when, on drill team performances days, we had a ritual called "The Hair Machine". We'd sit in a big circle and rat the girl's hair in front of us. We were crazy good at it and knew exactly which tools worked best.This is the best comb I've ever used, and that's quite a statement. I've literally tried them all. It feels solid and sleek in my hand, not flimsy, and the little inner bristles are a brilliant touch. That's what makes the difference. The styling stays all day with minimal hair spray and it seems to be anti-static because the wispies are simply gone. Would have really come in handy for football halftime shows. ;)Ver másVer menos
