Pretty good app

It's a tiny Google search engine. :). Unfortunately, on a Fire HD tablet, you're relegated to only 1 browser. And that browser doesn't perform like your cell phone or home computers. There are things just can't get to with this, but NOT because it can't find it, but because it can't present it to you because of the browser that is inherent with the FIRE HD tablet line. The other side of that coin? The FIRE HD browser isn't subject to all the garbage (malware) spyware etc, that a regular device is because of it's OS and other operating features. A cyber world without morons attempting to destroy your toy with all kinds of evil is more than a dream ~ Utopia comes to mind, but alas ... there's always those that will attempt to play in your sandbox without having your permission. It's a good app and worth the download just because of what it can find.Ver másVer menos

doesn't work right on a kindle fire HD
while it doesn't say it in the name of the application this is supposed to have the "Google Now" technology built into it. That means you should be able to speak what you want it to do such as "what's the weather in Norwich Connecticut". Then it's supposed to look up the information and actually speak the answer. Usually something like "the weather in Norwich Connecticut calls for rain today" or "the temperature in Norwich Connecticut is 49°". Instead, it does here what you're asking but then it pops up the usual android dialog box asking you which browser you want to open. You then have to select a browser and it just does a regular Google search and not the Google Now search that speaks to you with the answer. in the subject line for this review I wrote that it doesn't work on a kindle fire HD but I also have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. Even though it has Google Now technology built into it I tried just using this application and it worked the same way (bringing up a browser and not speaking the answer). However when I used the Google Now technology built into the Samsung it worked perfectly. That is to say the Google Now technology built into the Samsung when you purchase it, not the downloaded search engine that this review is about.What I recommend it?
