  Deeper bass, nice highs

  First time I've used these strings. I found the bass to be a deeper more resonate string, while the higher pitched strings still remain bright.I would say these are excellent strings. I'll have to see how quickly they need to be replaced. Since I don't perform I'd guess they'll last a while.Ver másVer menos

  Reliable quality electric guitar strings

  Reliable strings. These are my favorite brand of 9s. Only complaint is if 1 string from the set breaks it’s always the high e string. I’ve been using them on my top load telecaster and the low e is thin enough that I can fit the string through the small hole in the bridge to load the string. I’ve noticed sometimes the end of the string near the ball end is too wide to load. But no problem with these strings.Ver másVer menos

  Great for blues & jazz

  Edited:I started using these after recommendation of nickel wound strings for blues/vintage type tone with my strat. My inital thoughts tended to be "comparative" to what I was used to with nickel plated steel, but I'll give my thoughts now that my ears have adjusted and heard the nuances of these strings.The sound of these, which probably concerns most, is very smooth and even across the strings. Even though the wound strings are darker by nature, they're still fairly defined. The thing I like about the nickel wound is that the attack is a different. You can really strike the strings with alot of force or play softly and get varying tones and you don't get the "clangy-ness" that you can with elixir. This is why I think some jazz and blues players prefer these types of strings. Another thing is that these are designed for more low-output nature, so they tend be to darker, and not drive an amp as hard, or overdrive pedals if you have them.So that said, I like these because they're easily controllable, have long life, and sound very good. They're also cheap, which is a plus. That about sums up my thoughts, I think if you're going for the nickel wound sound, these will work very well, and they won't die after an hour of playing.Ver másVer menos

  Chris and D'Addario 4-Ever

  I LOVE these strings. I used to play their 10's (for like 14-15 years) then I switched to and from rotosounds 10's (like 3-4 years)and then back to D' Addario's 10's, then like two months I upped it to 11's and I am so stokked. I really recommend these for anybody who really wants to change their game, sound and feel but still be comfortable. I mean, you will have to put a bit more wood shed hrs to compensate the up change. If you're a 11 user from another brand; these are just the best hands down, tone lasts even when you have a nasty old set on, and hold their stability crazy-well even towards the end of their life. Personally I have really high acid levels in my skin, so these don't 'deaden' as fast as almost every other brand has for me. Plus these are dirt cheap! Now Amazon subscriptions lets you automatically order these whatever your usage frequency! Now they need to get NYXL's in threes and down a bit in price!Ver másVer menos

  Für mich die besten Saiten für eine ES 335; bei Les Pauls nehme ich jedoch die 10er-Saiten, ebenso guter Klang und lange Haltbarkeit!

  Exceptional strings

  D'Addario strings never let me down. As always, extremely precise and consistent gauges of the strings. They intonate very easily and the intonation is exceptionally consistent from set to set, unlike other brands like the Ernie Ball slinkys which vary significantly from set to set.Several years ago I shopped around many brands and had intonation problems with almost every other brand but the D'Addarios. Some brands like Dean Markley, I didn't have enough adjustment on the guitar to correct intonation for the inconsistent gauge of the plain G string. I got out the micrometer and sure enough, as much as 1 thousandth of variation on some brands on the plain G along the string. That makes a MASSIVE difference in your ability to get good intonation up and down the neck.So these days I stick to D'Addario. I don't know how they do it, but I'm glad they do!Ver másVer menos
