Perfect Replacement for old collar
My dog's previous collar required replacement after one of the contact posts was lost. Given the age of the original unit, I opted for a new replacement while retaining the old one as a spare.The new collar is an exact match for the previous model. The construction of both the collar strap and the receiver unit appears consistent with the original, leading me to expect a comparable or extended service life. To proactively ensure longevity, I intend to perform routine checks to confirm that the contact posts remain securely fastened to the receiver unit.Pairing the new collar with the wireless transmitter was a straightforward process. Pay attention to battery type/collar type: rechargeable vs replaceable
So far (1 day) the system works well - I'm using it for goats rather than dogs. One important note is that some collars are rechargeable, and some you have to replace the battery - pay close attention to what you're ordering (you might think "extra collars" would send you extras of the collars that come with the system - nope!). The collars also come with different styles of prongs and different levels of adjustability for the tone/correction.Ver másVer menos

Perfect for active dogs with no fenced yard!
This collar is an extra for my wireless containment system. This works perfectly for my active dog. He is able to move around freely without being able to run off and get lost. Very easy to setup and use. You can buy replacement batteries as needed. Ours usually lasts around a month but that is with 24/7 usage. We have multiple dogs on this system with no issues. The collar is adjustable to whatever size you need, and it is very durable material.Ver másVer menos

Great product and support! I would buy again.
I had 2 of these collars "go bad" on me. I was about to order a 3rd, but something kept nagging at me to call PetSafe after reading they had a replacement option after the warranty was expired. I SHOULD HAVE CALLED FOR SUPPORT after the first one! :) The PetSafe agent had me bend the metal battery tab with the bump on it up (be careful not to break it!) & both collars worked perfectly again. I don't know why I didn't think to try that. Also, the agent was very pleasant, spoke clear English, & my hold time was just a couple minutes. Thank you PetSafe for making great products & having great support.Yes, there are a couple downfalls to this product, but they ALL beat putting in a wired fence for me since I would have to go under an asphalt. The downfalls I have encountered are my two dogs do get out on occasion & some days their collars beep once randomly & somewhat frequently when they are laying around the house (other days, we never hear a beep). When they get out (which is very rare - maybe 5 times in 5-10 years), I don't know if it is a fluctuation in the wireless signal, if they just don't care (because they are going after stray cats in an abandoned building next to us...I would imagine that is too tempting & exciting to care about the shock sometimes, ha!), or both. The beep inside scares them, so I feel bad for that, but it doesn't appear to shock, which it shouldn't be by the way it is designed. PetSafe recommends they don't wear the collars inside, but it is a hassle to take them on & off, especially during the summer when we are in & out so much. Also, outside, it seems like sometimes they don't hear the beep if they are barking non-stop & loudly because suddenly they'll yelp & run back towards the house, but again, they may just be ignoring it. Even considering all of this, I love this system and recommend it highly. I would buy it again.Ver másVer menos

Excellent product, beware of uneven terrain though
This product worked beautifully for our one year-old female shepherd mix, and I’m excited to get it working on our almost one year old new male lab pitbull mix. Maggie learned very quickly with the boundary was, but just be warned, a smart dog, like her, will also adapt and understand that if she’s not wearing the collar, she can still run off. We weren’t too worried about Bodi running away, but he figured out a couple weeks ago that he can squeeze underneath our chain-link fence, and then a neighbor told us that she saw him climb over our chain-link fence, which I was not sure I had ever heard of a dog doing that before.Now onto the main thing I wanted to share: I had an incredibly difficult time setting up the flags to begin with last year, but that’s because our front yard is a fairly steep hill down toward the street. I just could not get anything close to a consistent perimeter, when I had the transmitter on our main level. So I called customer service and they were actually very helpful, they suggested putting it in the basement since the signal goes out like a mushroom and comes back down to the level of the transmitter, this made it so that I could have a much more consistent and predictable perimeter. A must for dogs!
A must have for dogs! We have had this brand and collar for three of our dogs and it is very durable. The battery last awhile and it doesn’t hurt the dog when the vibration goes off! Super easy to use and set up!

CHEAP AF
The button that covers the static pulse broke, and they refuse to replace it. They’re only offering me a refund, which doesn’t help much since I need the collar for my dog.The first one I bought four years ago started eating through the batteries every other day. The fit is extremely loose, and it won’t tighten up on the dogs’ necks, so this one hasn’t even lasted a week. It’s cheap and made cheaply!!Ver másVer menos

Love this product
This is my third replacement collar. Truly love the whole system, my dogs feel safe and I feel safe knowing they are staying in their boundary.

En la descripción del producto viene una imagen de un perro pequeño y menciona que el collar es para perro de mayor a 5 libras, y el que me llego es para perros más grande, es decir mayor a 8 libras. Este collar es enorme para mi perro, que decepción.

Great receiver!
The collar is pretty cheap and can be replaced if you buy a good one and just use an electric soldering iron to melt two holes in it to mount the receiver. The receiver is tough and even stands up to a dog chewing on it for a short time. It is also waterproof which is a good reason not to get the rechargeable one. Batteries are not cheap but they each last about 3 months and are worth wayyyyyyyy less than your best friend.Ver másVer menos

Makes yard training your dog simple
Works great , I have three dogs they all wear these collars usually the batteries are dead but they still respect them , no harm is done to the dogs even if they do get a shock they learn very fast I will never try to hard train a puppy. We bought this replacement after our kids left the original on top of our dogs crate and our dog chewed it beyond repair. It works great! Our dog is a German shepherd and we only have it set to 4 and she has yet to go out of bounds. We like it because it gives her a warning before the correction.Ver másVer menos
