THE MIRACLE THAT SAVED MY BABY GOATS LIFE
I was on the way home from a movie about 10pm. There in the moonlight out in the forest in Montana, I saw a baby goat alongside the road who appeared to be about 5 days old. His hind legs were bleeding and were caught in a barbed wire fence. He could not lift his head or even move his ears or eyes, he had become so exhausted from trying to get untangled from the fence. It appeared his mother had left him days earlier as he was skin and bones by now. He looked so pitiful, he melted my heart and I took him home hoping to help him. He was so weak, I couldn't get a heart beat sometimes. I fed him through the night with a turkey baster and canned milk which was all I had and prayed he would make it to the next day. (He was so young he still had the umbilical cord attached.) That next morning I anxiously called around and I found some raw goat's milk from a farmer 45 minutes away that I fed the little goat every 4 hours. Each day he got a little bit stronger, but then, after a few months when he should have been eating food already, he wouldn't, no matter what I would try to feed him. I bought him all kinds of products; grain, oats, barley, alfalfa hay and more, that I asked the local feed store and goat farmers around the area about, of what was good for baby kids to eat. But he wouldn't eat any of this feed and he was getting skinnier and skinnier. His coat was becoming rough and dry looking. I was really worried about him.By now I fell in love with the little guy who followed me everywhere and I wondered again if he might die. I kept asking the local goat farmers for advice, while I watched him get weaker and thinner. But finally a farmer came to the rescue when he told me Calf-Manna had helped his baby goats that had not done well. Immediately I went to the local feed store (where I had previously bought just about every feed they had), hoping this time they would have Calf-Manna, but all to no avail. I was feeling desperate, when it occurred to me to try amazon.com. It was my last resort as I live in a forest hundreds of miles from any large town that might carry it.I went to my computer and at last, I found Calf-Manna on Amazon.com which I immediately ordered. Although it was somewhat more expensive; I looked at the ingredients, and it had an excellent variety of high quality nutrients that were not in the other feeds; like 25% protein instead of 3% for instance and much-needed minerals.I had run out of options so I took a chance and I ordered it. It came quickly and I believe it saved my little goat's life. At first I held out my hand to him with a few grains of Calf-Manna for him to try. He only sniffed at it with his nose, but the next thing I knew, he was cautiously nibbling at it and to my great relief he ate a handful. It turned the tide and soon he was inhaling the stuff. The weeks turned into months and his coat became as smooth as silk and glistened in the sun. Now as I write this review, he is 8 months old, full of radiant life as he kicks up his heels and runs like the wind to jump and play. I never stopped giving him the Calf-Manna, as I know it is what has made him so healthy, but now that he is older, I mix it with his daily goat rations. I call him every morning and he can hardly wait to get his breakfast of Calf-Manna that I hold out to him as he covers me with kisses and I scratch him behind the ears. I love him so much and I know I owe his life to Calf-Manna. I will make sure that he continues to get this food for as long as he lives. If I could give this company 10 stars I would. Thank you Manna Pro Calf-Manna for making such a high quality product and thank you Amazon for having it available when I was feeling desperate and could not find it anywhere else.Ver másVer menos
