  Versatile, durable, beautiful sound.

  These strings are exactly as advertised. They shipped quickly, and the two pack is a steal. These strings are excellent for nearly anything you want to do with any style of music, but they're tailored more towards Jazz basses. The lowest two strings are medium gauge to retain the punchy, growling low end, while the top two are extra light to let high notes scream and resonate like you wouldn't believe. They're durable and high quality, and a set can remain in perfect condition and keep their great tone if you give them a little love with regular cleaning.Ver másVer menos

  Quality strings, nicely priced

  I purchased these for a short scale bass. They sound bright, punchy, and stay in tune. They seem to last long, mellowing out a bit with age (a sound I actually prefer). Since I don't play bass as often as six-string guitar, I tend to change these strings approximately every 6 months. I find these to be fairly priced and high quality strings. Some brands charge more for only 1 set, with these you get 2!Ver másVer menos

  Great bass strings

  I use these strings on both an old Gibson EB-2 bass and on a recent Gibson SG bass. They provide more treble, definition, and clarity than flat wound strings provide. Definition and clarity from the strings are particularly important with Gibson basses, especially the EB-2. On a short scale (30.5") bass, the string tension is very comfortable. I used them once on a long scale (34") bass with no problems as well. The strings are relatively inexpensive, especially in this two-pack. For me one set of strings will only last about two months, though, before at least one string goes dead (usually the E string). That is based on playing a weekly gig, two weekly rehearsals, and a couple hours per week of practice at home.Ver másVer menos

  Save $$ with a 2 pack!

  You can always count on these EXL strings live or in the studio. For me it’s the studio, so I try to keep several sets on hand at all times. I was surprised to find that they offered these excellent strings in a two pack! So that will likely be my method going forward. You get to save a few extra bucks while buying some strings that he would’ve bought anyway. Highly recommended!Ver másVer menos

  Simply the best strings

  These are the best gauge and strings I've used for my bass. I've tried them all and I always come back to D'Addario. These strings have the best tone, they feel great and they last a long time. Pick up a set or a two pack and see for yourself.

  Best Strings you can buy, great company, great product.

  Great strings, high quality and great sound. I did have an issue with one of the sets, called D'Addario and they sent me a replacement set, top notch quality service. They just dropped the price a few dollars and I ordered two more packages (4 sets). I will never use another brand, these strings are the best!!Ver másVer menos

  D'Addario EXL165 XL Nickel Wound Bass Strings 105 - 85 - 65 -45These bass strings are the best I have ever used, simply brilliant. I play a Epiphone Thunderbird Classic IV bass and these strings compliment the bass very well indeed. I did have the heavier gauge first, 105 - 85 - 70 - 50, but these were a little on the heavy side for me. Both gauges however have fantastic, glossy highs, thundering lows ( get it! ), not too boomy but enough to make you pull a funny face in approval - you know the kind - and of course great mids ensuring you don't naturally get lost in the mix.If you buy the double pack it makes these strings exceptional value for money - not that the single pack isn't already. I like to always have a back up set in my case just on the off chance one breaks ( yeah right! ). The life expectancy of these strings obviously depends on how often you play and how well you look after your instrument, but even if you use your bass regularly and don't wipe it down quite as often as you should - just like I do - you will get an easy 6 months out of the strings before you notice any change after the break in period, from there on I would describe the tone as "warmer" but certainly not dead like some strings inevitably end up after that length of time. Saying this, I can't recall ever having ended up with a "dead" set of D'Addario Nickels, some being on as long as year, but obviously this is subjective.Now i'm sure you've played those round wound bass strings that make you feel like you are massaging razorblades, am I right? The state it leaves your fingertips in is just awful! I'm sure you can think of a few brands that do this as can I. Well good news, especially for your frets! These D'Addario's aren't like that at all! Of course being nickel wound really helps with the general "smoother" feel as opposed to steel wound strings (again subjective), but these are definitely smoother and easier to play on than any other Nickels I have tried. The last thing you want from a string is a great tone and a terrible feel, making the whole experience of playing a bit of a let down.I have just had my bass set up and asked for these strings to be put on after the previous set of D’Addario’s being on for at least 9 months, however I almost had the same set put back on being as they were, in all honesty, still sounding great.Overall great product, great price and long lasting making them great value for money, especially a twin pack!Bass Players who haven't tried these out yet, get some ASAP, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

  Excelentes cuerdas

  Esta marca tiene una buena relación precio-calidad. Son duraderas y aguantan los estilos agresivos de tocar. Me gustaría que tuvieran con mayor disponibilidad calibres más gruesos, como 110, pero están muy bien.
