Attracts a large variety
Had a mix with sunflower seeds causing issues but really liked that it attracted blue jays and cardinals. This mix is pretty good, attracts a variety of birds. Blue jays seem a bit hesitant but think there’s just a bunch of activity. Leaves a little mess, would recommend a seed catcher still. Hard to stop birds from chaos haha - also a lot of the smaller ones actually leave behind the very small skin of the seeds but that’s nature for you. Pretty impressive.Ver másVer menos

Love the no mess seeds and the birds attracted to it.
My wild birds and squirrels love these seeds. I love that fact that there's no chafe mess on the ground. When the seeds fall from the feeder to the ground, the ground feeders clean it up. Everyone wins with this stuff!.. I have seen a variety of birds at the feeder, just like the bag says. The only woodpecker I have seen is the Norther Flicker, but only a couple of times. I get the scrub jays, various finches, various sparrows, spotted towhee, Oregon dark eyed junco, and a couple I have not identified yet. So it does attract a variety of birds, and squirrels. I call them my furry birds! The 10 pound bag lasts a week or so. I do add some chopped walnuts and almonds for the bigger birds and squirrels. The crows usually toss the seeds to the ground and grab 3 almonds in their beaks and fly away. Nothing has shells in my bird feeder. I have this on subscription since I use a lot of it. I think it is a good value for the money currently.Ver másVer menos

Brings in the birds
The birds seem to like this. They really seem to like walnuts way better, yet..... They are going to get this. It is a well-made food for birds in the wild. And people think that it's not appropriate to feed them when it's really hot. Yet it is because the ground is just as hard as when it is frozen outside. So it attracts the birds just fine, it's fresh, there's a good amount to the bag, I would say it's pretty nutrient for the birds. Value for money. Money could be maybe a little less expensive like you could get it at Walmart yet. I wonder if the product at Walmart would be as good as quality? The size is fine for me. It works. I don't put a lot out in the feeder because we get pop-up storms and then you end up with very wet food. So it does last me a while. And it brings in a variety of birds. And I'm happy camper. Now if I research every bird's requirements, what is their best suited food that you can have for them, this might not be the best food to get. Get. Like when I was researching squirrels. It was real acorns, real Hazel, nuts, Etc. To be as close as possible to what they get in, the wild. Bird food generally does not do that. So with that being said, I can't afford to get 20 different varieties because we have 20 different types of birds coming in of food. So I think it is a good productVer másVer menos

No mess bird seed
Our birds and squirrels love this mixture. My husband loves that it does not leave a mess on our porch. There are just seeds with no hulls. No waste. I highly recommend this.

Seriously good. Just ask my birds (and chipmunks)
Just as advertised. Very high quality seed. No mess. My wildlife loves it so much that I put it on a subscription. Keeps indoor only cats endlessly entertained watching wild life. Birds and chipmunks do not seem to mind an audience from the other side of the window.Ver másVer menos

Birds love it but they make a mess!
The birds love this birdseed, but I am concerned about what I heard these little black specs are that are inside of the bird feed like some kind of waste of insects that are dying something that’s not a food anyhow birds don’t seem to mind it though and my feeder is in an area of the yard. That’s easy to clean up so I don’t have to worry too much about the waste. The birds don’t like the cracked corn, but the squirrels do. They can only get it off of the ground since I have the feeder on a shepherds hook that they cannot reach.Ver másVer menos

Not ‘Mess and Waste Free’
Before buying this product please note that it is not mess or waste free. The birds love it and we always get plenty of birds on my feeder but there is always a huge pile of crumbs underneath the bird feeder. If you watch the birds they continually spit out bits as they’re eating. I don’t know if it’s shells or husks but the floor is always covered in waste. We also get rabbits and squirrels and they don’t eat this waste so it’s not edible food that just spills out. Other birds on the floor won’t eat it either.Ver másVer menos

Bird feed
As bird seed goes, the birds did eat it all up. It is winter and I am not sure how much hit the ground and how much they actually ate
