my parrot loves this food
this is the best food for my parrot, the price was reasonable now that inflation is here prices on almost everything has gone up on average 25 to 50% . the government keeps inflated the dollar by printing money without taxing enough to balance the paper. the public has no idea how the system works.Ver másVer menos

My Amazon parrot likes this
I have had trouble trying to convince my Amazon parrot to eat something other than sunflower seeds. He does like this product.

A MUST for Parrot and Cockatoo owners
Smells great! Our Parrot and Cockatoo eat ALL their food when we feed this. Also, our birds are not particular when we use this food unlike regular bird food they literally throw most of it on the bottom of their cage, then it goes in the trash. Which makes this food the most cost effective choice for our birds. This food there is No waste! Our really enjoy this food so much they reach for it like peanuts. Which are their other favorites. The size is perfect for double yellow head and Golfin Cockatoo. Sizes of food vary for nibbling and then larger for holding a piece with one foot while eating on their perches.Would have rated 5 stars though from the handling process there is is a lot if crumb powder in the bottom of the bag. Been feeding this food for over 20 years. This brand has been very consistent.Ver másVer menos

Great Food at a Reasonable Price
My macaw was eating zupreem, but the price on that kept getting higher so I searched for something comparable but more cost effective and found this stuff. My bird eats it just fine. The pellets are smaller so there is less waste. She eats all the colors and hasn't had any negative side effects. I like that I can order it online and have it shipped to my door quickly.Ver másVer menos

Macaw eats it well
I'm no vet so nutritionally - who knows. But I bought these on a whim and they smell fruity and my macaw likes them. I supplement veggies and fruit so I'm not concerned about how healthy they are. Plus I know people with parrots older than me that are doing fine - those birds ate pellets and seed from 40 years ago before all the marketing around health was around - birds are scavengers people. They eat rotten fruit and dead things. The pellets for macaws tend to be larger than these - this size is generally marketed toward African greys and such, but I have a greenwing that seems to prefer this size. These smell so nice I tried one. Surprisingly, these taste like ground seeds not fruit. I mix these with a seed mix and it works great. If your pellets and seeds are supplemented with fruits and veggies, any brand your bird will eat will be fine (as long as they don't have the rat poison in the grain issue). A bag of this and similar size seed mix lasts me around 6 months I think. I do mix in maybe 3 bags of raw peanuts (near the beer aisle at my grocery) in the same amount of time.Ver másVer menos

My Yellow Nape's Preferred Pellets
My Yellow Nape Amazon loves his Kaytee Rainbow. I have offered him other pellets, even tried replacing with another brand of rainbow type pellets, but he was not happy about it at all! Now I typically I offer him two different types of pellets daily - his Kaytee in his cage, and the "flavor of the month" pellets at his play gym. He definitely enjoys the variety, and may eat more of the other for a time, but he always goes back to his Kaytee with gusto! I believe he was raised on Kaytee handfeeding formula, so occasionally I still mix him up his baby food with a little extra vitamin (Avian Missing Link) and probiotics. Boy, he sure loves that too! Especially during or after a time of stress. I was hand feeding another little bird, and he absolutely threw a fit until I made him some "baby food" too! Just putting this out there as a tip for others who might be able to do this to get extra nutrients in your birds. :) Also, I keep a bowl of shallow water next to his pellet dish, and a different, full bowl of water elsewhere in his cage. This way he can soak his pellets to his hearts content, and instead of them sinking out of reach, he can easily retrieve, eat and enjoy his perfectly soaked pellet! This way I have cut down his pellet waste by at least 75%!Ver másVer menos

Big Bird loves it!
I have an Amazon and he has thrived for years on this food. Of course he gets treats but when I ran out of the rainbow exact, he quit eating! Definitely, his favorite!
