A Gift to Women....
Hey there! I stumbled upon this book at a secondhand store the first time I owned it . An I found so much inspiration from it that it was really astounding because it's hard to find books like that nowadays . That aren't preachy and know-it-all and telling you how to run your life . Yeah it's book for people who use and abuse and that wasn't me, not to say that I haven't had my share of rough edges in my life but I wasn't there anymore, but I just loved the way it made you feel good in your life every day . But then somebody in my life that was very, very close to me was having a really hard time, so I gave them my copy because they had read some of it and it made them feel good, like they could deal with quitting and finally stop abusing. Then I found I was really missing my book . I was overjoyed to find it here on Amazon because it's a fantastic book! It really makes you feel good as a woman . And you just find the best stuff there in that book . There's just a lot of great things in there that make you feel great and make you feel good and really make you think . I think that it's something that every woman should own personally, it's just really a great book it's not a God thing, it's not drinking thing it's not drug thing it's more of a little bit of everything in it for everybody let's put it that way. I know it's from Hazelden so yeah it's got stuff in it like that, but still it's more of a life affirming thing . So I just really I recommend it to anybody and everybody. I love the book and I would buy it every time I give it out to somebody. and I would always share it because it's a great book . And I would buy it again and again and again . ThanksVer másVer menos

The best way to start your day! So very helpful!
I had this little book for over 20 years, then I lost it when I moved last year. Was so excited to see it on Amazon! It has a different cover from my original but from the reviews and pictures from others who reviewed it, I knew it was the same book! It always helped me every morning to start my day and today is the day I have this book again.Ver másVer menos

Great for ladies in recovery
Over my 37 year's of sobriety I've purchased this book for 23 of my female friends in recovery. Wonderful book.

Daily Wisdom
I just received my 2nd copy of “Each Day A New Beginning .” My first book was purchased in 1984 when I got sober. I took that book with me on all my travels. Each morning I received a message that helped me through my day. There were highlights of various colors all through the book. Eventually the spine got loose & the pages began to fall out. I gifted the book to one of my sponsees for her 5th AA anniversary. She appreciated 7he gift of a book that had been so helpful to me. Recently I decided to order a fresh copy of this book because the content is so,germane to women getting sober.Ver másVer menos

Each day a new beginning, daily meditation for women
I purchased this book after giving away my first copy. It is a wonderful daily devotional with spirituality based on the recovering alcoholic 12 step program. I am a christian but this can speak from many spiritual points of view. I love the daily readings, one page each in length but loaded with wisdom, encouragement in facing daily life challenges with relationships, other struggles and self worth. It's gets me out of myself and teaches me how to regard people who enter my life moment to moment. Life is not all about me or my struggles which is a recurrent theme. At the same time the daily readings teach, encourage and instruct the reader how to live in a world of relationships and how to learn and grow to be the person you want to be. I highly recommend this book. I believe it is published or endorsed by the Hazelden treatment centers for recovering alcoholics. I am not an alcoholic but love this book and would recommend it for women in general.Ver másVer menos

Each Day a New Beginning is one of the most important books ever published!
I can say that this daily guide saved my best friend's life and has helped her stay sober for 15 years now. The wisdom and calming passages have been a lifeline for her and so many people who struggle every single day. I am deeply grateful to Karen Casey and can safely say that Each Day a New Beginning is one of the most important books ever published!Ver másVer menos

Daily book of wisdom
This book I think is Karen Casey's best. I much rather prefer this hazelden version to the new 40th anniversary version. Both the same in words but size, feel, quality of the paper I thing this is the better of the 2.With 365 quotes from influencal people, to words of wisdom from the talented author bringing us each day to an affirmation/statement of doing and being better by putting fourth what we just read it's pretty easy to fall in love with this book and the author. I've shared this book with a countless number of peeps and I always say, read your birthday. Try it. This book will speak to you!Ver másVer menos

Wonderful daily guidance for women!
I love this book! I read it every morning and it informs and guides me through the day! I bought this copy as a welcome gift for a lovely new friend who has just joined the 12 step recovery fellowship of which i am a grateful happy member.

AA approved!!
I started going back to the monday night discussion group of alcoholics anonymous. We usually have meetings where we read that particular day's passage in one of these books. And I desperately wanted to get my hands-on one. We had a medallion night about a week or two ago.And my mother in law found out that they didn't solve these books there, and that I had to order it from amazon.So she gave me the thirty dollar to buy them.I just got around to buying it.Got it.Today and I love the feel of it.The texture of the paper inside of it.The cover everything.I've only been around the ones that have been used.And abused in the meetings, and this one, here I love it.So now I get to have my own book at these meetings.Where I can just follow the bouncing ball whenever somebody's reading out of it and then I can always refer back to it.If we're doing a discussion on what the passage is.Ver másVer menos

Love this book
Beautiful read. There is a strong religious undertone but for me I replace the word god with the word universe and it works for me. It has an empowering female note to it and would make an excellent gift for someone or like I did - a gift to myself
