Captivating my 5 year old for hours
This book has held my five year old's attention for hours. We've also given it as a gift. It contains everything from prehistoric sharks to current sharks and other sea creatures.

Perfect for Shark Fans
My 3 year old loves sharks, and this is perfect. Nice pictures, short, interesting paragraphs and facts. I like that it immediately begins with fun creatures; some books waste pages on preparatory info my kid doesn’t care about. Makes me feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. We’ll love this for years to come I think.Ver másVer menos

Great for kids
I bought this book for my 5 years old son which is a fan of sharks. It has amazing photos and it is just right for him. Every time that he has a new toy shark, he looks in the book and says "hey mommy, I found it", and put a sticker on the page. The book includes other sea creatures, that is a plus. Also includes a short description of the shark or sea creature and some facts like predator power, size, distribution, and diet. It also has a reference section that shows the shark family tree (including those sharks that are already extinct), the shark life cycle, habitat, and a glossary.Ver másVer menos

Great book for eager learners
We have had this for at least a year, and my 5 year old is constantly looking through it and reading about ocean creatures. It has constantly been his favorite, and he can tell me so many different facts about sharks and other creatures. It has nice big, colorful pictures and gives great descriptions and facts for each animal featured.Ver másVer menos

Informative little book!
I purchased a used good condition copy which had little wear. I could have done with out the name written on the inside cover as it was a gift but may opt for new next time. Over all an easy read with colorful detailed pictures for those shark lovers.

Awesome book for ocean creature lovers!
My son loves ocean animals, sharks in particular and this encyclopedia was absolutely perfect for him. We've been reading this every single night before bed, and he's already memorized more than half of it and he's 4 years old!I appreciate that the scientific name is also provided, as sometimes some of the animals are referred by their scientific name rather than their given name. I actually enjoy this book as well since it's full of information and I love to learn to keep up with my son!Ver másVer menos

Very cool book. Lots of teeth
You will be smarter than a walnut after reading this book! The goblin shark is pretty funny but also scary because he’s still a shark.
