Madonna is amazing!
The production values here are top notch and contemporary with twists of nostalgia woven into the sound field. There's not a bad song. Vibey, hip, contemporary, melodic, trendy. The return of her collaborator Stuart Price (Confessions on a Dance Floor 2005) is a storke of genius. I ordered the CD, 16 trk, original, which has all of the songs sequenced into a dance mix rather than buying the upscale version where the tracks are evidently separate. This was $10!!!! A Masterpiece of Memory and Motion — Better Than the Original!
As someone who was 17 years old when Madonna first burst onto the scene, I’ve essentially grown up alongside the Queen of Pop. This is too good!
Madonna's Celebration Tour kind of set the stage for Confessions 2. No band - instead, pre-recorded music mixed by Stuart Price, who worked with her on Confessions on a Dance Floor. The show was great, one of the best concerts I ever attended. It was loud and dance friendly. Madonna was her usual provocative self by thumbing her nose at today's America by opening the show with Bob the Drag Queen who offered a brief biography of her career, and gave a preview of the gay and drag friendly show that followed. The title Confessions 2 suggests it's a follow up but it's only real commonality is it's structure of the continuous sequencing of the songs. The music is more sophisticated and ethereal, and the lyrics offer a narrative that flows with the music. Danceteria is the best music Madonna has made in years, with references to New York's long gone glory days, as well as her own Vogue. It stands as one her greatest songs. Fragile is sad and beautiful, and also a standout track. Add Madonna to the list of older artists who are having a renaissance late in their careers. Highly recommended.Ver másVer menos

Madonna’s Confessions II is more than a welcome return to clubland. It feels like the true spiritual successor to Confessions on a Dance Floor, the 2005 prequel that last saw her fully surrender to the pulse, pleasure, and discipline of the dancefloor. In the years that followed, there were flashes of brilliance — Hard Candy had its moments, particularly the Pharrell-produced and assisted “Give It 2 Me” — but that album often felt looser, less defined, and lacking the cohesive identity that has always marked Madonna’s greatest work.With Confessions II, that sense of purpose is restored. This is easily her strongest and most fully realized album since 1992’s Erotica. While radio made Madonna a megastar, her roots have always been planted firmly in the club, disco, and underground nightlife. Here, she does not simply revisit that history — she reclaims it, reframes it, and pushes it forward.The album’s emotional centerpiece is “The Test,” her duet with her daughter Lola Leon. Amazing work, Madonna is back on top!
Absolutely amazing album, have been playing it on my home stereo every chance I get! Madonna continues to prove and showcase her beautiful artistry despite the naysayers who criticize her age etc. If you wanna have the ultimate dance album and lighten your day definitely order Confessions II!Ver másVer menos

One of Madonna's best albums of all time!! If you thought COADF part 1 from 2005 was amazing this will surely be your new favorite. If you havent heard it yet, dont hesitate just get it!! Its full of dance inducing beats, grooves, vibes, and everything in between. No skips here!! And if you're a Madonna fan and still dont own this album...what are you waiting for?! This is by far better than part 1 in my opinion and as stated before, one of the best albums Madonna has put out as of recent years.Ver másVer menos
